Dexter Lesley had not expected to be given the responsibility he had, but he felt rather confident about it. Having already spoken to the Head Girl, Rhiannon about what they planned for the year, the Slytherin was pleased to find that she was receptive to his ideas. He also found that she had many of her own, and was excited for the year to come. Even if he would not have his girlfriend this year. It was not exactly a surprise really, seeing as she had been a year above him to begin with. He knew she would graduate, and was proud of her. He would miss her, but he still had his friends here. Slytherin House was never devoid of people he could talk to, and whilst a few were on edge now because of the recent points situation, the Head Boy was confident that his house could make a comeback.
The recent trouble had caused him some concern, but he could do nothing beyond patrol and keep his eyes and ears open, and his time free should someone want to talk to him. He ran his hands through his blonde hair as he continued his pace, which had soon turned into a walk around the lawn unaccompanied. It was still early days yet, but he had many hopes for the year.
