Theodore had thought he was lonely when Edmund was busy with his girlfriend, but he had been a fool. Back then, Edmund had still talked to him during meals, sat with him during lessons, walked with him when they had some free time, and he had still slept in the bed next to him in their dormitory. Now he was truly gone, and Theodore finally knew what it was like to lose his brother completely. It had been what he was afraid of, it had been why he had acted at all, but now he had caused it himself. He was angry at himself, but also at Edmund. If his brother had been more open, more honest, had tried a little harder, maybe he could have made Theodore understand that he wasn't abandoning him. But he had felt abandoned, just not as badly as he did now.

Escaping the great hall after eating his lunch quickly, Theodore had made his way outside. He hated the noisy crowds in the castle, the other students everywhere. But a part of him envied them too. He wanted to feel at ease at the Ravenclaw table, the way everyone else seemed to. He wanted to have people he could talk to and laugh with, though he had no idea how to find anyone that would be suitable. It had always been him and Edmund against everyone else, and Theodore had no idea how to let anyone else into that little world. Most of the other students were idiots anyway, and he didn't even want them near him. But being alone wasn't a good option either. The only person he talked to sometimes was Zoe, but she had her stupid girlfriend and also other friends to spend time with, and Theodore was alone. The boy walked along the lake, looking down at the water. His reflection stared back up at him, reminding him of his twin who hadn't spoken to him since their argument. After staring at the reflection for a few moments, Theodore kicked a rock into the lake, distorting the image. To his embarrassment, a tear escaped him, and he quickly wiped it away. He felt foolish and lonely, and had no idea what to do now.
