In one of those rare moments when her mother allowed her some freedom, Alana was wandering on the streets of Obsidian Harbour. She didn't wander far, knowing that her mother would be finished haggling with the shopkeeper over the cost of some potion ingredients. It was boring and Alana had taken advantage of her mother's distraction to get the woman's permission to leave.

The most exciting part of the day was still to come, and the red eyed girl was happily distracted thinking about what her wand would look like. She was sure that whatever it was, it would be better than Lorin's. Glancing into the shop, Alana was happy to see that her mother continued to be distracted. She walked over to a bench just outside the shop and took a seat, her legs swinging as she watched people race by.

Chaos Zhefarovich finally managed to get away from none other than his brother and sister, as well as his parents. His parents were a little more lenient, but his brother was always so overbearing and wanting him to behave. How awful was that? Chaos let out a sigh and stuck his hands into his pockets as he thought about his wand. He had a great one! One with Basilisk skin. He needed something like that, but he needed to stay away from farms for sure. Or else. He walked over to the opposite side of the street, and he noticed that there was a blonde girl sitting, and as he continued to get closer to her, he noticed that she had red eyes. That was unusual, but who was he to talk? He had deep, purple eyes from his mother. He noticed that she looked like she would be in his year too. Maybe he could get to know her. "Hey there, nice eyes. I've only seen a few with that color." Only Aleyha Snow and Hadan Hensel, and both were albino.

Lifting her head quickly as someone spoke to her, Alana's cheek reddened swiftly. She'd heard many things said about her eyes, but nice wasn't a word that was used often aside from when her father and mother told her that they were. The boy in front of her had odd eyes too. She couldn't be sure but they seemed to be...purplish. "You know other people with red eyes?" Alana asked without a thank you. She was more concerned with wondering where these people were. Maybe she wasn't so odd as she had been made to feel by other children. Her mother had assured her time and again that she was just fine, but it was her mother. She had to do that.
