After all that had happened for the pass couple of weeks, Peyton was on the moving on stage of her mourning. She's still a bit aloof to others, specially to her brother whom she had not seen for quite sometime now. The Gryffindor teenager's routine changed drastically, she doesn't eat with others nor talk to them in her classes. Peyton was afraid that if she tried even a bit to make friends, they'll end up like Avie. So, on her spare time like today, Peyton ignore the people around her as she roam the castle with a book. She didn't care also if she bump into someone, though, today seems quiet. The blonde girl stopped at the entrance hall as she heard her stomach growl. Peyton glance at the great hall but that was it, she opted to get some food at the kitchen down below.

When she arrived at the vast kitchen, Peyton closed her book and put it atop the breakfast counter. The Gryffindor had done this so many times that she felt at home already. Deciding to make baked macaroni, Peyton started to look for some ingredients in the big pantry, the size almost like a house. That, though, wasn't new to her. The school is feeding thousands of students plus staff, it was only appropriate to have a big pantry. Gathering all at once, thinking she's better at balancing. One by one, the items she's carrying started to fall to the ground until she came to the counter with the remaining things on her arm. Peyton sigh and lazily retrieved everything she dropped.

Cairo followed quidditch because his twin was a beater on the team so it only made sense that Cairo was familiar with the older Slytherin players, and was affected somewhat by Avie's sudden and untimely death. He wasn't friends with the guy but he knew that two of the other older Slytherin players were. He also knew that if something happened to Rome his life would have been turned upside down and changed forever in the worst possible way. It sufficed to say that Cairo had empathy for the older Slytherins but he also simultaneously couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose someone so close, so suddenly. He was glad he didn't have to experience it and he could walk around the castle only feeling relieved and slightly uneasy that Avie had passed, instead of mourning in different ways like many of the students in the school were because they were close to Avie.

Though despite only feeling uneasy, many of Cairo's routine staples had changed since Avie's passing. Purely because Cairo wanted to avoid emotional students at all costs as there seemed to be someone mourning whichever way he turned. One of these staples was the time of day where he chose to eat. He now preferred to make his own food in the kitchens and eat outside of meal times, far away from the great hall to avoid the chitter chatter about Avie and by extension some of the students in his house that were seeking attention in the face of his death. He couldn't stand those people and knew that making his own food was the better option so the Kitchens was where he found himself that afternoon. He was surprised to see another student attempting to make food as the kitchens were usually empty that time of day. He wanted to pay the girl no mind but she was taking up all the room on one of the benches with her food. Cairo wasn't sure what else he could do besides ask how long the girl was going to take to finish cooking as his rumbling stomach didn't want to wait much longer for him to begin making his own food. "Are you going to be there much longer?" Cairo asked, crossing his arms over his torso as he approached the girl.
