After a week...

George noticed that Alice also didn't have anything to say, but that didn't worry him much. He always came up with good ideas at some point. Still looking out of the window, he saw a couple of people in the garden, seventh years, if he wasn't wrong, hugging and kissing. That gave him an idea. He turned towards Alice and asked her: " So, let's talk about something different. Did you have many friends back at your old school? " he finished, wondering if he had asked that before.

Alice noticed George following her gaze and smiled to herself. "Um, yeh. I had my group of friends if you know what i mean. There was Amy, Sophie, Anna, Hannah and me really." She said with a smile, remembering random funny memories from her old school. "How about you?" She asked, wondering how much longer this new conversation would last.

OOCOut of Character:
Not much. :p

" Me? Well, I had my group of friends as well. Peter, Michael, Kyle and me. We were one of the many groups in our class. We never really made contact with each other, the different class groups. We stayed in our ranks mostly. When contact happened between members of two groups, it was normally something bad. It was just like that, nothing could be changed. " he said with a faint smile. He had never liked this division, but it was something normal for teenagers, he guessed. " Was it like that in your school? I mean, without the group around Isobel. " he said, remembering Alice's comments about her slightly evil cousin.

Alice smiled and nodded. She had heard of schools like that before, it seemed like that in more than one place, it wasn't just George's school. "Well it was nice in the school. I mean, mostly everyone got on as ive already said. But yeh a little bit. I mean, when we mixed with one of 'those' people aka Isobel's group, it didn't ever end well. Normally, the teachers were on our side because we were right, but there was one or two teachers on the side with Isobel. I guess that she has probably already got a teacher here wrapped around her finger. Her dad certainly is." She added, her tone slightly bitter as she mentioned her uncle who had been on his own for 3 years after his wife and daughter had left home. Then, suddenly, Isobel's mum died and Isobel came to live with her dad. Alice's uncle had been a nice guy before that, but within a few weeks, Isobel had him doing her every command by using a variety of threats and statements. Alice had attemped to tell her parents about Isobel's true character, but she hadn't been strong enough to truly explain it all because she did feel bad for Isobel. But it didn't matter anyway, because her parents just told her to stop being silly. This was another reason why Alice detested Isobel.

" It's good to know that the teachers supported you. " he said, smiling - teachers always played a big role in this student division - it was quite important on which side was every teacher. " Isobel sounds very bad. But you seem like you're kinda sorry for her? Why would that be? " he asked, wondering why Alice sometimes spoke with a better tone about her cousin after all she had said that made it obvious that she detested Isobel.

Alice sighed, knowing that this question was coming. She wasn't allowed to say, but it was George and she trusted him. "Well, there have been.... family issues. Im not really allowed to talk about it." She admitted, feeling bad that she couldn't confide in him and hoping that this didn't upset him. She smiled weakly, hoping he would see her dilemma and therefore deflect the conversation and question. The answer said enough to make anyone wonder what it was, but for Isobel's sake, she wouldn't say even though she despised her. It was true, she did feel sorry for Isobel but there was nothing else to be said for it was Isobel's call whether people would find out her secret.

" Oh. I see. Well, I won't hassle you about it. Everyone has his secrets. " he smiled at her, hopefully comforting her, for she suddenly had become tense and worried, as he could judge from the look on her face. He understood that something had gone on between the cousins, but he had never liked being too interested in any family affairs. " So, tell me about your sister, Grace. " he said, trying to change the subject.

Alice smiled gratefully as George quickly deflected the subject. Happy that he would be ok with not knowing, she tucked a random stray strand of her long, curly, brown hair behind her ear. She was slightly surprised at the next question, because to be honest, she hadn't been expecting it. Not remembering when she had mentioned Grace, she was impressed that George remembered who she was. "Well, she is 2. Being that age, there are tantrums. She is small like me, dark longish hair and deep brown eyes. Apparently she looks the spitting image of me at that age, but i don't think so. She follows me everywhere, but it can get slightly annoying. However, it turned out that when i had to leave, she was the hardest to say goodbye to. She didn't understand. Thats why i hope that one day, she will also have magic." Alice explained, hoping to include all the information about her adorable, loving, baby sister.

" Yeah, I hope too. A girl just like you would be quite welcome here, wouldn't she? " he laughed. If they ever broke up with Alice, maybe Grace would be his next girlfriend. But preferring not to think of that just now, he tried to focus an image of a two year old baby looking just like Alice. It wasn't overly difficult, and he liked the thought of it. But for now, he preferred Alice. He felt very good, sitting there, with Alice next to him. Hogwarts New Zealand had really changed his life in ways that he never could have imagined.

Alice smiled and nodded. "Well, i think you are a little bias." She said with a smile. Planting a small kiss on his lips she smirked slightly. She liked George a lot, but the way he spoke about her sister made her feel strange. So, people said that they were the spitting image of each other, but that didn't make it true. After all, they were completely different people and already, Grace had learnt to throw and catch - way more advanced in the sporting world that Alice was at that age. Laughing slightly at the realisation of this, she tried to work out how Grace would turn out, what she would like and do. The thought of her younger, baby sister grown up freaked Alice out a little, but at the end of the day, she knew that that would happen.

" Sorry if I offended you, but the way you speak about her... " he grinned and kissed her back, wanting to change the theme that was seemingly upsetting her. " I mean, no two people can be exactly the same right? " he added, trying to comfort her. But still, sisters did quite resemble each other, when he thought about it. But for now, he preferred Alice, he though with a smile.

Alice smiled. That was another thing she really liked about George, how he could read her emotions behind her words. Some people failed at that and she had never been so good at acting, so it was their problem. Realising again how lucky she was to have found George, she smiled for the second time in moments. "Yeh, i agree. For a first, she's so much more sporty than me." Alice said with a laugh, thinking of her fail at quidditch and how Grace was so natural with muggle sports - like she had a real natural talent. Like Isobel. Pushing the thought quickly away that Grace might turn out like Isobel, Alice mentally made a big decision to guide her sister away from that path.

" Sporty? Every baby is sporty when it is two years old. " he had a laugh at that, thinking of Alice's sister kicking a football. It was a strange thought indeed. He'd never seen a baby play sports. But still, he was always open to new things. " You got any photos of her? " he asked, smiling.

Alice laughed lightly. "No, not every baby. Ive always been hopeless at sports. When i was a child, i use to run away from the sight of sports stuff. My dad found it hilarious. Then the dislike and absolute rubbishness developed." She said with an easy laugh. When she had been little, she had always been bitter that she couldn't do sports well, but now she just found it amusing above everything else. "And she can catch better than i can now." She added, boasting her younger sister's talents even if it meant putting her own self down. Rummaging in her pocket she shook her head. "No, sorry. I have one in my room, but not on me." She said with a small sigh, pleased that George was at least taking an interest in her family.

George had a laugh at that. He couldn't believe that a baby could catch better than a twelve year-old girl, but decided not to press the subject - he didn't want any arguments with Alice. " Everyone dislikes something - I'm also not very good at sport, but I find quidditch kind of amusing. " he said, thinking of trying out for the Quidditch team next year. He decided to give it a shot. Taking his thoughts away from that for now, he turned again to Alice, and reminding himself that at least twenty minutes had gone without them sharing a kiss, and kissed her softly, letting the feeling settle in, as he always wanted to.

Alice raised her eyebrows questioningly at his laugh but decided to leave the subject there. After all, sport wasn't her favourite thing in practise or talk. She shrugged at the comment. "I think disliking something and being bad at it are different things. I mean, some people are naturally good at sport, but that doesn't mean that they like it. You were good at quidditch when i saw you. The broom listened to you - my one just ignored me." She said with a faint laugh, trying to make light of an issue that bothered her. Everyone else had done fine at controlling the broom and playing quidditch, but she had just failed. Turning her thoughts away from the sport topic, she found George kissing her gently. She kissed him back in the same manner and smiled softly.
