Tichondrius waited silently on the rocks. His legs were folded beneath him, and two staves lay beside him. One was wrought of solid elm, bound by twin silver rings at the ends, and the other was made of oak, bound by gold rings. The oak one should signs of heavy use, and had the symbol of a claw imprinted on one end.

Hoshi walked out onto the cliffs after reseaving the message with her staff in hand. It wasn't as flashy as the things Hoshi usually owned. That was because Hoshi refused to be over the top when it came to fighting. It was about half her size and coftable enough for Hoshi to hold. The staff had Japanese markings on both ends but that was about it.

"I'm here." She said bowing to Ti. Hoshi had put her now redder than red hair in a looped pony tail so it wouldn't get in the way. Hoshi smiled wide when she came up and readied herself incase Ti stuck without waring.

Tichondrius opened his eyes at her voice, and saw that Hoshi was ready to defend herself. He smiled, and nodded approval, and like she guessed, struck. A chain-linked dagger flashed out, sliced away two symbols from her apprentice's braid, and he pulled it back, unfolding his hand to reveal a snake and a chain. "Congratulations. You have mastered the aspects of speed and accuracy. Now, on to your next stage. You may pick your own staff, or use this,"he said, indicating the elm and silver staff. Picking up the oaken one, he waited for her to make her choice.

Once she had done so, he took up a ready position before her. "Now, follow through with my movements," he instructed. Tichondrius began moving through the motions his grandfather had shown him, moving smoothly from one to the other, striking and dodging with theatritical care and slowness.

Hoshi picked to use the staff that Ti had. It was gorges and Hoshi couldn't help but want to try it out. She put her own staff against a rockformation then started to move though what Ti was showing her. "Your aquanted with Isabella Choas right?" She asked casually. She had been sending a letter to her mother when she had noticed people in the North Tower. As silently as she went up the stared she had retreated. It wasn't up to her who's friends with who. Besides half way up she head a buzzing should that could only mean that they did not what to be over heard.

Hoshi was carful not to add anything to what she was being shown. It was a habit of Hoshi's that she add moves that would hurt most or even kill someone if that was the intent. No, she followed exsactly what Ti was showing her even though it made her mind wonder a bit. She could help but be impressed over how Ti had 'stolen' the two charms off the band she never left the castle without.

"Aqquianted, yes," Tichondrius said, as he swept the staff forward to block and imaginary blow, and followed it up with a strike to the imaginary opponent's head. He continued the motions as his mind whirred silently. "Why do you ask?" Either she had seen them at the lake, which was unlikely, or she had seen them while they were talking at the North Tower. The corridor they were at had been on the way to the Owlery, and he was sure he had heard someone approaching that day.

Hoshi followed nearly flawlessly adding a bit of force to her blow to the head. "No reason really, I just saw you talking with her in the North Tower. Didn't hear a thing of course but still I saw. Seem like Isabella gets around as much as I do." She said in a conversatonal tone. Just because Hoshi hated the **** did mean that others she knew had to also. "Isabella and I don't get along at all. She and her friends are constantly at odds with mine. I was just wondering that if she asked you to would you stop being mine." She said with a sigh. Hoshi was not the type to stop people from knowing other people but that didn't mean Isabella wasn't.

Tichondrius flinched at her words, losing his concentration and fumbling. Coming to a stop, he turned to regard the girl. He trained her, yes, but they never really socialised much, so he didn't really presume to think he held a very special place in her heart. Tichondrius walked up to her, raised his hand up as though to strike ... then let it fall onto her head. "Baka," he said quietly. "That'll never happen. I promise."

Hoshi was startled when she saw Ti fumble. She didn't think it was possable for the silver haired boy. Hoshi didn't think that she had said anything out of place. Hoshi had tightened her hold on her staff slighly when Ti raised his hand but then smiled wide when he placed it on her head. She let go of one end and hugged Ti. "Thanks Ti-kun. I know we don't hang out much but you really do mean a lot to me." She said happely then backed up while placing a strand of flaming red hair behind her ear.

Hoshi coughed into her free hand then bowed at her middle. "Sorry Sensei." She said quickly

He smiled warmly. "Its okay," Tichondrius said, turning back to take up his previous stance, then continuing through the motions, even as his mind whirred. True, he recalled that neither Isabella nor Hoshi liked each other much; like ice and fire, never able to get along.

Hoshi laughed "Right." Then got a good hold on the staff again. She followed Ti again as she moved knowing that things would get fast in time but for now she need to know what she was doing. She wondered what Ti thought about all the fighting that seemed to go on with in Slytherin. Hoshi was used to an enviernment like that because it was something like what her home used be like. She let her mind wonder something that she almost never allowed herself to do anymore. The reason why popped not a moment later. She remembered gray eyes boring into her's as if looking into her soul. Hoshi brought the staff down with a crack chipping a bit of stone but the staff was still in in perfect working order. "Sorry." She whispered the started to fouce souly on what she was doing.
