Sophie knew she had to get started on her schoolwork as soon as possible. Only it had more to do with the magical world than with the muggle world, which was different to what she was used to if she was being honest. This whole world was something she needed to get used to. Even though she was new to the world, she knew she had to push through that and start learning and studying everything she could. Sophie knew the best place to do that was the library. The Ravenclaw placed her things on the table nearby as she entered the library. She picked up her Astronomy textbook and began to read through it.

The library had quickly become the one place he knew he could go without running into any of his family members. None of them were particularly studious, which he supposed was why he was in Ravenclaw and not them. That was a good thing of course because it meant he didn't have to deal with them, he knew they would only ask him to do their homework for him, but he wasn't about to do it this time. He noticed another girl sitting at the desk he normally occupied and was about to keep walking when he noted she had an astronomy book. OH! Well, that was a coincidence because he was also about to be working on Astronomy as well. "Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" he asked, though he couldn't remember the girls name. He vaguely remembered seeing her at the house meeting though (he still had no idea what the purpose of those was or what they were) "I'm Eli."​
