Phoenix Smith was sitting in the abandoned classroom. She was wearing her casual clothes. Purple checkered shorts with Braces, white t-shirt, plimsoles and a black hat. Typical Smith.

As she was sitting on the window ledge watching some firstie duels, a bunch of boys called The Band of Brothers walked in. "Hey, boys, it's the fire bird. What's up birdie? Cat got your tongue?"

Noah wandered down the hall ways pondering the concept of his new roommate. The only roommate he had ever had was Damien, even at home he bunked with Damine, and now this Maximillian had moved into his room. It was annoying but potentially good for him. He just had to decide if the boy was worth his attention.

As Noah made his way outside he passed one of the many abandoned classrooms within the large school and over heard some male voices in a room. He couldn't hear the words spoken but he could hear the tone and recognized it to be nasty, almost malicious. He paused, on the one hand he was on his way to relax on his own, on the other, he really didn't like people bullying.

Noah may not like nice people in general but he hated the thought of people bullying others just because they were weaker or different. Sure, he would fight people, but they always did something to him first. Sure, he may be provoked easily, but his actions were always provoked.

Noah decided to investigate and opened the door to find a girl surrounded by boys. He knew these boys, and at least two of them knew him. They probably still had the scars. Noah wasn't exactly known for holding back. The only reason he hadn't been kicked out yet was people here didn't snitch and he never fought around teachers; unlike Damien, his education was important to him. "What's going on in here?"

"Ah, Noah, isn't it? Well, move along, nothing to see here."one of the boys, known as Malcolm, said, sneering at Phoenix while he said it. "May I leave now?" Phoenix asked, trembling while she said the question. The Band Of Brothers always bullied her and some days, locked her in the broomstick cupboard. "No, you may not, Half-Breed."

Noah looked at the boy, he had met him before. He was one of the ones that tried to interrupt his studying. The boy probably still had the scar where Noah had stabbed him with his quill. Noah didn't exactly hold back when someone bugged him. "How's the arms Malcolm?" Noah asked, raising one eyebrow to show the boy he wasn't joking.

Noah was willing to beat up these guys, and gawd knew he was able to. He didn't doubt that Malcolm knew that as well. He didn't spend years dodging his dad and fighting at school to just to watch people go by. He had learnt how to fight well and he was viscous with it. "I think, actually she can leave."

Phoenix looked at 'Noah'. Did he know who he was messing with? "Umm, don't make them angry, they'll just hurt you." she said, in a memory tone, like she was remembering what happened to her.

Noah laughed at the small girl before slowly crossing over to Malcolm and, before the stupid boy knew what was going on, had his arm wrapped up around his back and his hand around his neck. "Don't worry about me, I think I've got it under control." He smirked before turning back to the boy at his mercy. "Now then, you gunna let the lady go?" Noah could see the other boys didn't knwo what to do now that their leader was incapacitated.

"No, Noah. We shan't let the half-breed go, the vermin. Didn't ya know? She's half giant. Too small...way too small." MalcOlm taunted. "Boys, get the little birdie." he commanded them lazily. Before Phownix knew, the biggest one, Raoul, had his arms around her, trapping her. "You know Noah, you could be a Brother."

Noah glared at the bigger boy, who was actually around his own height, and decided he was bored of these games. He pressed into a pressure point on Malcolm's neck for long enough that he passed out, he then moved onto the closest boy and gave him a swift knee in the nuts. "Now then, Raoul, you gunna let her go or am I going to have to make you?"

Noah's eyes had gone darker and his voice was just a growl. He took out his penknife behind his back and flipped it open. Noah really wasn't afraid of hurting this boy and, by the looks of him, he wasn't afraid to fight back.
