Abel Smith had been attending Hogwarts New Zealand since he came into his magic properly - so a good four years. Being in Slytherin meant that he virtually lived in the dungeons, though he spent as little time there as he could. They were cold, dark and just disgusting. Abel crunched loudly on his apple, counting the passages as he passed them. Usually, he had to do this because everything virtually looked the same. The Slytherin was not known for his memory, and so had to really think about where he was going most of the time. He was sure he had passed the kitchens, which came before the Slytherin Common Room. Or did they come after? Abel paused and looked around. As he had suspected, there was nothing to actually tell him exactly where he was. No real landmark-y like things to help him out. Well, not from what he could see. With a sigh escaping his lips, he pulled out his wand and flicked it. "Lumos." That gave a little more light. However, light did not tell him where he was. Was there a spell for that? He shrugged. There probably was, not that he could think of such a spell right now.

There was some lighting in the tunnels, obviously, otherwise students would be slipping over and falling on their faces on a daily basis. But it was still ominous and creepy. Other houses had it easy. They were in corridors and stuff, with the sunlight and the hustle and bustle of more active parts of the school. Down here, Abel usually only ran into other Slytherins. They were a great bunch of people, really, but too anti-social for the rather sociable Slytherin. It was hard to find people to talk to, since Abel was rarely in the mood to start conversations, but was all too prepared to be spoken to and continue a conversation. He took another bite of his apple and continued tottering through the tunnels, before he paused again. "Sh!t." Where was he now?

Killua felt that he was really meant to live in the darkness. Well, if someone had escaped a rather dark and evil household to go to school ended up in a house that was located in the dark and full of cold and mean people, they'd probably think the same as him. He was fed up of the evil people at home and even as he came to Hogwarts, there were people nearly the same as his family. And so, he spent most of his time either in his room or in the upper levels in the castle, but since he had been staying in the lower levels for more than three years, he had already memorized the dungeons since he did get lost quite a number of times and had decided that he it was high-time that he learned about his new home.

This particular day, Killua had decided to take a walk in the dungeons. He had been doing in once in a while so that he would not forget his ways around the dungeons. It had been minutes since he began his little walk and so far, it seemed that he was still up to date with his ways around the tunnels since he was managing to find his ways whichever way he went. He grinned inwardly as he continued to walk and enter various tunnels. He stopped at his tracks though as he caught sight of illumination deeper in the tunnel, which wasn't really normal in this part of the dungeons. Many refrain from wandering too much in the dungeons as they easily get lost, unless it was some adventurer or idiot or a Slytherin. It wasn't long before he caught up to said person and heard him speak. "Lost?" Killua said as he noticed that the boy was apparently his roommate, Abel. "Need help?" He had already considered Abel to be his friend since they did engage in conversations every once in a while, but then again, he had next to no idea of what this boy thought of him
