It was an idea motioned by Avory, and Axel had spoken with Collineus as he managed to take over his family. Axel was really liking that Cardosi blood. The thought of having one mix with the Zhefarovich family was just marvelous. He had also thought about going to his father about it, but as long as the blood was not tainted, he would not be bothered by it. Plus, it would get Kamaria away from the love of muggles. Those disgusting creatures made Axel's insides into a pretzel. While leaving Avory with the children, Axel kissed her tenderly goodbye, and he apparated off into the alley in the middle of the city, where he had asked Collineus to ask Kane to come here to meet with him. Axel had on his black robes and blended with the shadows cast by the adjacent buildings. The dusk was settling in nicely, painting the sky with orange and dark blue hues, as well as a splash of pink here and there. Not entirely fond of waiting, the Death Eater had no choice but to wait for Kane Cardosi. To leave everything behind, Kane was to meet with him and perhaps the boy would show his respects to a Death Eater rather notorious for using his mind to make others vanish, and others framed for deaths. That was his specialty. Axel smirked lightly, thinking of his job and mission done over in Russia. Axel checked his magical watch to see that Kane should be here, any moment now. Axel had an interesting proposition. The boy would be stupid not to take it at all.

It was still a mystery to the young Death Eater in Training as to why he had been summoned my someone from none other than the Zhefarovich family. Kane knew no-one from the family, even in his short time among the ranks of the Death Eaters he had only ever heard of the powerful Zhefarovich family, but in this day and age, what member of any powerful wizarding family hadn’t heard of them? Kane had often heard his family mentioning them briefly from time to time or he’d hear them being mentioned at work but as far as he was aware his family had no connections with them and with the short number of Cardosi men and even fewer woman that even joined the ranks of the Death Eaters, it was hard for them to build any sort of connections with the family by any sort of means. So with all that in the back of his mind Kane couldn’t help but ask himself, why? Why was he being summoned here today? Who had summoned him and for what reason? The most important question of all that was bugging him was; why him? Kane, while a very determined young man and not happy until he had as much power as possible, was still quite young and had no significant power in the family as of yet. After graduating from Hogwarts he went straight into the family business owned by his cousin Collineus and quickly made his way up to Junior Secretary, while many would not think of it as an important role or not something to be overly proud of Kane only thought of it as a position with a title and because of the short space of time that he reached it he knew that it was only a matter of time until he made his way up further.

That of course was for a different time and place as right now he was currently finishing work early for the day, granted by Collineus himself. His cousin had been rather apprehensive about the whole thing and worried that Kane may do something to embarrass the family or possibly had done something to offend the Zhefarovich family; neither of which Kane would ever dream of doing. After reassuring Collineus once more that the Zhefarovich family was not one to make mistakes and that if they wanted to see him then it was him they were going to get. Apparating from the office Kane found his feet at the alleyway where he was to meet a man called Axel Zhefarovich. Still dressed in his work suit his long black cloak flew out behind him slightly as he walked at a faster pace than use; not wanting to be late. Arriving at the spot where the two were supposed to meet Kane couldn’t see a figure anywhere, so he straightened up and as casually as possible walked around the general area wondering if the man was going to show or if this was some sort of mistake.

To be perfectly honest, Axel was not entirely sure why he would even step this far to ensure that the pure-blood race would still continue, and that his daughter would not fall for some bloke that he would have to kill for dirtying up his daughter. He would see to it that if this did not work, consequences would be inevitable. Axel was a hard man to please, but even harder to escape from when someone manages to fail his expectations. Daniel Boyd was lucky that he was not killed. One would see that Axel was still itching to get his hands wrapped around his throat. This young Death Eater in training would be unheard of in the Zhefarovich Family, and he would remain that way until he did something to prove himself that is. Perhaps the young man was asking why he was being summoned, by the Viscount no less, which was the same thing as a hired killer in the Zhefarovich ranks. Axel glanced once more down at his watch and wondered when the boy was going to arrive here, because he had other things to do other than this. He had things to study, a shop to run, children that needed tending to, and an ex-lover that needed to die. Axel was a very busy man and he needed to get things done and soon too. He would need to figure out who would need to die that is a threat to the family and the Death Eaters and little time to do it all in.

Hearing a sound of someone apparating to this location made Axel realize that the boy had finally arrived. He knew the boy's name; Kane Cardosi, so he would have to keep that in mind. Axel stepped out of the shadows, his tall form intimidating to normal civilians, but perhaps Collineus would have told Kane about this being a gene in the Zhefarovich family. His arms folded across his chest, and a cold, cruel smirk displayed over his thin lips. He would love seeing how this boy would react being in his presence. "Kane Cardosi, I've been waiting." He lowered his eyes for a moment, before he glanced around the area to ensure that they are not being listened in on. Axel wanted to get straight to the bottom of this, but he wanted to be sure of who he was dealing with, and what type of man he was. Axel could see if he did not like anything, but Kane looked rather handsome, someone that Kamaria would just drool over which made him rather uneasy. He had graduated recently so there was an age gap as well. But she liked older boys, so she could not complain either. At least this one would be tight under his grip. Axel started off, "First of all, I'm Axel Zhefarovich, and let's get down to business. What has your cousin Collineus told you about my family?" Axel expected to hear good things, well, good in the Zhefarovich perspective.

As Kane continued to casually walk around the dark alleyway his mind was still reeling with questions as to why he was here right now and why he of all people had been requested. While he was a very driven young man, best at everything he did and didn’t settle for anything less, he was still young and rather inexperienced in the ways of the world. What use would he be to someone like the Zhefarovich family? If one thing could be seen as a weakness of Kane’s, it was that he asked too many questions but at times he saw this as more of a strength than a weakness as he liked to know everything and the only way he would be able to do that short of mastering Legilimency, was to ask questions and get the answers for himself. Although he had been warned by Collineus to hold his tongue while meeting with Axel Zhefarovich as Collineus knew all too well how Kane could get when he wanted to know something and didn’t want his nosey predisposition to ruin whatever this was between the two families. Kane had agreed to tone down the questions a bit for this meeting but didn’t promise to refrain from it completely because it was all part of who he was and he wasn’t going to change that for anyone – not even the Zhefarovich’s, if they wanted him they would still want him, warts and all, as the saying went. Kane was told that his attitude would get him into trouble one day but he knew that that was just people who were jealous of him trying to cover just how jealous they were with him but he knew that if he didn’t think, no if he didn’t know that he was the best then that would clearly show onto other people and before he knew it, it would be true and that was one thing Kane didn’t want and for a young man he was very driven. Kane was beginning to wonder if Collineus was beginning to loose the plot altogether as he couldn’t see anyone here where he was meant to meet Axel Zhefarovich. Just in case it was for real he had decided to wait around because he would rather not leave and have it be a case of a cross wire somewhere in the details and stand up someone from the Zhefarovich family, definitely something Kane wouldn’t want to do after they requested for him.

Feeling something moving behind him he turned to see a tall figure emerge from the shadows. The young Death Eater would be a fool to not recognise the signature Zhefarovich family traits and realise that this had to be the man that he was waited for. Straightening up Kane took a few small steps towards him and looked at him straight in the eye, now was no time to show any weaknesses. “I apologise. I hope you have not been waiting long.” he said with as much of a sincere tone as he could muster up for someone who had never felt many feelings before. Kane took a few moments to take in the stance of the man, he was well built and clearly a Zhefarovich, definitely someone that Kane would be honoured to be associated with and never have to feel the wrath off. As the man began to talk again, Kane made sure to listen with the utmost clarity to be sure not to miss anything. He knew right off that this is a man that he could respect, someone who wanted to get right down to business and not have to beat around the bush; that annoyed Kane greatly. “Collineus has told me nothing more than I already knew and what every self respecting Pure Blood would know about your family. One of the most ancient and powerful Pure Blood families known to the Wizarding World and definitely not one to mess with unless you wanted to die.” he spoke with a strong voice and almost an idolising tone lacing his words. Of course he had heard of things that the Zhefarovich’s had done and some of their more, well known secrets, but he was unsure if he should divulge into the history of the family that the man surely knew like the back of his hand.

Smirking even more, the Death Eater was growing more and more pleased with the this young one, seeing as he did not have any weaknesses, well none when it came to talking to Axel. Axel merely shook his head when the boy apologized if he had been waiting too long, which he had not. Axel replied curtly, "Long enough to keep me from not being irritated with your arrival. Kane Cardosi, arriving in time shows responsibility and I am not disappointed just yet." Axel already liked this boy more than Daniel Boyd, for the sheer fact that he was a Slytherin graduate, a Death Eater in training as well as a pure-blood which mattered to Axel a lot. Axel would have to listen to him to see what all he knew about the Zhefarovich, and if he liked what he heard, then he would offer a proposition. Axel would soon be Head in the family, and a close alliance with the future Head was ideal to great respect in the family. Kalif was not allied to many, but he was allied to Nicolette and she had the respect of many in the Zhefarovich family. He also picked out Grezhen Varius to watch over Azerail and use him like a guard dog for the family. Though it was interesting because from what he had heard, Kalif hated werewolves with a passion. Then again, who could blame the man because he was attacked by one so many years ago that threatened his adopted son and his blood son. Axel still did not like the fact that Kalif treated that witch's son like his own, but there was nothing more that could be done about it now. The boy was dead now, and his death was avenged, as if the boy himself was a Zhefarovich.

The Death Eater was more pleased with the answer that Kane Cardosi provided for him. Axel nodded and he smiled eerily, "You are precisely right, and anyone would be a fool not to accept our alliance. We are allied with many, including yours. There is another thing that Collineus should have told you." Axel bowed his head for a moment, before he stared deep into the eyes of the young and handsome Death Eater. "Collineus was trained, personally, by my father who knew the Dark Lord in person and been in his presence many times. I am sure you have heard of Asparuh Zhefarovich, and perhaps his wife as well, Danielle Lefevre. A few of the original of us. Now, this information is useful, because of what I have to offer you." Axel knew that this would be approved of, and he had already gone to Asparuh about it, and told him about Daniel, and then about his ideas with a Cardosi descendant, which Asparuh agreed and told him to do whatever he pleased, so long as the boy showed no weaknesses and knew the consequences if he ever were to betray a family like his own. And Axel thought that the boy seemed to acknowledge that already. Axel continued on, "I am offering you a chance to be apart of the family, and this is your ticket in." Axel pulled out a picture and held it out for Kane. "That is Kamaria Claire Zhefarovich, a Ravenclaw Prefect at Hogwarts New Zealand. She has seemed to found a liking for mudbloods, muggles and half-breeds alike. I would like you to use whatever means necessary to get her back on the proper path. She is a hopeless romantic. Also, she is my daughter." This was a true challenge, and he wondered and hoped that Kane was up for it. "Are you willing to take this task?"

A smirk appeared on Kane’s lips, the second more popular thing to see on his lips after his usual expression of not caring when people were annoying him; which was often. He was glad that he had disappointed Axel, but then again Kane was hardly ever late, he hated people being late when he had appointments with them so he figured it was only fair to pay the same respect to people he had appointments with. Despite how sure he was in his words and what he had to say to Axel, deep down Kane had a hint of nervousness as he so badly wanted to impress the man in front of him and not dishonour his family in anyway by what he said. It would be a lot easier to know what to say if Kane knew the reason behind him being summoned here today. His curiosity had yet to be satisfied and he was generally a very impatient man and hated beating around the bush. Despite him not liking to have to go against what he usually believed in he felt that it was in his best interests to just let this play out as it was as he didn’t want to upset or angry anyone from the Zhefarovich family. Kane didn’t really like being put on the spot when it came to important decisions to be made which is why he was unsure about how his answer was going to come out. He was only speaking the truth but Kane preferred to have predetermined answers to questions like this already set out and prepared to rhyme off and not have the possibility of making a fool out of himself by saying something silly or stupid. Or even worse, by insulting the Zhefarovich family by saying something equally silly or stupid, for being as mature as he was he was still only a teenager and prone to making mistakes and not thinking before he opened his mouth. Once he finished what he had to say he watched the man in front of his closely to pick up some sort of reaction as to what he had just said. The reaction he received instantly made his body relax, he must have said something good, or right because he was still standing on his two feet and not shot into oblivion. Kane nodded in agreement, anyone would be a fool not to accept their alliance – something he knew to be true but somewhat strange to bring up in conversation. He was surprised to hear that his family was allied with the Zhefarovich family already, this was something that interested him greatly and figured Collineus hadn’t told him because he only recently joined the family business but he would have liked to known this information before going off and meeting one of the Zhefarovich’s. Kane listened intently to what Axel had to say, it was all very interesting indeed and all new news to Kane himself. He had wondered why Collineus hadn’t told him about his past history with the Zhefarovich family, it would have been glorious to sit and listen about how he had trained with the Asparuh Zhefarovich himself.

Kane nodded to show that he was aware of who he was talking about, the originals that still remained were somewhat legends in their own rights; or so Kane thought. The young Death Eater in Training’s ears pricked up at the word offer, so he was going to be offered something – he was intrigued even more so now. Kane stood tall as disbelief filled his body; he was being offered to be part of the family?! He reached out his hands to take something from Axel – his ticket him. He lowered his brown orbs on a picture of a girl albeit a very pretty girl. Kane lifted his gaze again to Axel as he continued to talk. This was somewhat unreal and it took a few moments to Kane to understand exactly what he was being offered. A chance to join the Zhefarovich family and help a very pretty girl get back on the right path again, it seemed almost too perfect. Taking in the picture once more Kane took a few moments, a few moments that were unnecessary as he knew his answer from the moment the question was asked. “I am willing.” He stated, as he lifted his gaze and looked at Axel once more, determination in his eyes.

Axel was very pleased with his answer. Kane Cardosi seems to be the ideal boy. And Axel will enjoy having him around, if and only if he were to complete his mission. Axel smirked even more, knowing more about this mission, but he had to ensure that the boy understood with what he was getting into. "The laws are the family are just." His words were cold, unwavering and would not tell him the laws seeing as he did not need to know the laws until he was at least engaged to his daughter. Axel continued on, "I am not entirely sure if you are gaining the motive of this mission. However, hurt my daughter in any way, I will kill you. Nice and slow too." While he said those words, he was smiling in an eerie way. Somehow threatening to killing someone was just really easy for the man. He could do the dirty work with a smile, and would have no issues with killing off this boy if something were to go wrong. He also did not want his baby girl pregnant before the age of thirty but that was what any father wanted. Axel wanted to ensure that his daughter would be in good hands and not in the hands of a half-blood Hufflepuff. Axel placed a large, slender hand on the boy's shoulder and he said, "Otherwise, I think I can enjoy having you around for a son-in-law." If that did not tell him the main thing with the mission that he wanted to come out of this, that saying would.

Kane was more than used to keeping his emotions hid and right now he found this ability more useful than ever. He had been summoned by non-other than Axel Zhefarovich to help direct one of his own on the right path again, and by right path he obviously meant the path of darkness which is something that all Zhefarovich’s should be on as a birth right. He thought of a muggle loving Zhefarovich was enough to make someone that knew of the Zhefarovich family sick to their stomach, it was almost like a betrayal. The fact that Kane had been chosen above all others that could have been called upon for this task, perhaps someone more trained in the ways of the Death Eaters, was probably one of the proudest moments in his life to date. Of course he knew that he was chosen for reasons which Axel mentioned, his age and his looks – something Kane never used to his advantage before but took pride in; well his looks more so. He knew that for those reasons which Axel mentioned that his daughter was interested in this task was as good as completed. If he had to put some more work into it he knew he wouldn’t mind but the way he took it, he wouldn’t have to worry about it too much. A small smirk remained on his lips as he thought of the task ahead, he knew girls from his past had fawned over him but they had only kept him amused for a very short time and one was never good enough for him, if this Kamaria was the same he would enjoy it because he knew the motives behind it. He supposed he should feel guilty about tricking the girl by leading her on but she would thank him in the end.

The young Death Eaters face hardened slightly as Axel started to mention some of the laws of this deal. Of course he knew that there was to be some conditions to this deal but he had no objections towards them – they were very fair and this was the man’s daughter, he expected him to be protective over her. Kane expected that the meeting was over, he was sure that Axel had more important things to be doing and also that Collineus would be anxiously awaiting Kane’s return to see what the meeting was about. Although the last thing Axel had to say threw the young man off slightly. That wasn’t part of the deal!? He thought to himself. He was to marry Kamaria also? Kane wasn’t sure what to think of this but as he thought about it he figured that it was obvious, if he were to be made part of the family...Kamaria was his ‘ticket in.’ Kane had never thought of marriage, especially so young and to someone that was a muggle lover, well not for long if he had anything to do with it. Deciding not to keep Axel waiting any long he smiled slyly and replied, “Thank you and I look forward to it!” Saying his goodbyes he apparated off back to Collineus. That was something Kane didn’t expect today, then again who would expected to be as good as in an arranged married when they wake up in the morning?
