It had been a couple of days now since Sloane had received the owl saying that she was to be in Brightstone by this time on this day. This was one of the things that really annoyed Sloane. She absolutely loathed having to accommodate her siblings when they didn't seem to accommodate her. It was always Sloane that had to drop everything and run to her siblings aide. Steph and Speed were older then her, so one would expect that they should fold to her desires, but no, she still had to fold to theirs and she even had to do so when she was still a child. It was cruel if nothing else. Sloane had never gone out of her way to hurt anyone, she just went along with everyone else. She always followed in people's footsteps. She still wasn't sure how she got to be Headgirl in 2031 but she had somehow gotten there. Hogwarts Scotland was a nice place and Sloane had enjoyed it there. Moving along until she found the place that they were actually going to be meeting, Sloane stepped into the cafe and sat at one of the booths, immediately picking up a menu and looking at it. Sometimes she had to wonder why she even bothered, was this worth it. Her siblings barely even cared what she wanted half the time, so why she she care about what they wanted. She'd had her chance five years ago, but that hadn't worked out and now she was left with nothing. She blamed no-one but herself. It had been her decision to make and no one else's. She had only herself to blame.

Putting the menu down, Sloane order a coffee before leaning back in the booth and crossing her legs. Which ever of her siblings got here first, she didn't care, she just wanted them all to hurry up and get here. That's all she wanted. Nothing more, nothing less. As she looked around the cafe, Sloane noticed a couple of the people here had children with them and Sloane sighed. It wasn't fair. She had so much to offer as a parent, she just hadn't been ready then and now, she would never have kids. It had hit her hard, but she had grown to accept it. That wasn't to say, however, that she was over it, because she most definitely wasn't. Looking up, Sloane thanked the waitress for her coffee just as one of her siblings walked in. Sipping her coffee, Sloane nodded at them. "Hi." Before she then went to looking out the window. The scenery wasn't bad here, but it wasn't anything like back home in Australia. Steph and Speed were too New Zealander in Sloane's opinion. She missed the sun all the time. It almost seemed like New Zealand just didn't get enough.

It had been a long time since Jasper had been in Brightstone by himself. Usually he would be here with his children, but since Abbigale had left him, he found that he now had to share his time with his kids with the woman that no-longer loved him. To make matters worse, he knew that she had been spending more time with someone else, someone younger. Someone more personable than he was. The little Italian twit probably had better hair too. He no-longer cared. Abbigale could do as she pleased, but he did not like the thought of his children not being with him. She rarely spent any time with them anyway, she was off at work. He was the one that left work to care for them when they were sick. he was the one that put them to bed at night. He was the one that healed them when they hurt themselves. Most importantly, he was actually there when they needed him. Work did not come first, his children did and now Abbigale was claiming them - taking them from him. She was one of the most infuriating women he had ever met. He had only found out about that other man just before Abbigale broke up with him, and it was from a third party. She never understood him, she never understood that he did not like talking about his family, or his childhood, or anything. He liked living in the present, and found reminiscing to be a form of denial that would lead to him missing out of his future. Yet here he was, thinking about how she had ruined their marriage. She was forever yelling, and putting blame on him. She continually complained when she would come home and find Jasper being 'too strict' with their children. So what if they had to eat all their vegetables and were not allow to ride brooms?! He thought it to be perfectly reasonable. Not to mention how if he brought up that she could pitch in and stay hope and be a mother to her children, he was suddenly a chauvinistic monster. Then she wanted another one. Another set of footprints to run around the house and be ignored by its mother. Jasper was too busy for a third child, especially if Abbigale was not going to be there. She had made their marriage hard - sometimes insufferable. She liked a clean house, but rarely cleaned it. She liked nice things, but then never had time to wear them - never being able to have a nice dinner out unless Jasper had to cancel with work or run straight there after work, regardless whether he was tired or not. She liked him talking to her, expressing his thoughts - yet whenever he did she would yell at him for starting fights. She was terrible for him and constantly made him furious. And now she was just destroying hat was left of their life together.

And yet... Jasper could not bring himself to stop loving her.

However, he was not here to sulk. He was here to locate Speed's siblings and tell them that he wouldn't be coming - namingly, whoever Sloane was. Apparently she would be furious. Why Jasper was being sent to a girl that would be furious he didn't know. Sometimes, he doubted Speed ever thought about the comfort of others. He sighed as he entered the room, quickly looking aroundwith his back to the majority of the room. However, once he saw Speed's sister, Sloane (who he know mildly recognised) he pulled back his cloak to stop obscuring his features, and approached her. "Sloane Stark?" He asked, just making sure he had the right woman. "If you remember me, my name's Jasper. I'm here to tell you that Speed's currently busy and couldn't come. I'msorry he was too busy to tell you this himself." And with that done, the man decided to look for a means of escape from here before he grew any more uncomfortable.
