It clearly was a star filled night. Leah Winters walked briskly to the edge of the cliff and stared at the view before her. She could hardly see anything, and it appealed to her. The mystery of darkness had always fascinated her. Leah crossed her arms and shivered although it was not cold.
Although she was deep in her thoughts she could feel a presence behind her. She pulled out her wand, and stood facing the cliff, waiting for whomever dared to disturb her.

Eden walked along the cliffs enjoying the air she had just come from studying from a few books that her soon to be father-in-law had loaned her. Letting her thoughts wonder. Eden thought about what it was going to be like spending the break with her new family and when she would be learning anything worth learning over break. Seeing a girl Eden continued to walk until she saw the movement that ment a wand was pulled out. Flicking her's out Eden spoke. "Ease down chick, I wont hurt you." Eden stoped moving what ever happened next depened on the girl.

Leah turned towards the voice and flashed a smile. "Very well then." She had almost hoped that someone was out to try something with her, but alas perhaps it was best to stay out of trouble. She stuffed her wand back in her pocket and stayed where she was standing. "My name is Leah." She introduced herself carelessly.

Eden watched as the girl put her wand away pushing hers back into her pockets. Listening as the girl introduced herself as Leah. Eden looked around. "Im Eden." She pushed a strand of hair that had fallen out of place out of her way.

"All right." Leah replied to her introduction. She turned away from the girl, not exactly sure what to say. "Why are you out here this late?" She asked curiously.

Eden thought about it for a moment. Should she tell this girl what she was really doing? Shaking her head Eden thought better of that. "Im just relaxing after exams you know? Those things are stressful. What are you doing out her?" Eden's nose twitched like she was about to sneeze.

Leah nodded. "Yes, it's a wonderful place to relax, or even think." She was here to think. The grounds were usually deserted at night, since it was curfew.

Eden knew she was out past curfew but she could care less? What could they do to her? Take her to her Professor Black? Not that she would get in trouble Eden could pretty much get away with murder as long as she did not get caught. "I know how wonderful this place can be I have come her many nights to sit and think or practice magic with out being distarbed." Eden took in a deep breath of air and looked at the sky.

"I agree with that." Leah commented, still staring at the stars. She enjoyed the twinkling of them overhead. "I hope we don't get caught, but I don't think we'd get in all that much trouble." She paused. "Besides detention or loss of housepoints." She doubted it really mattered. She had hardly seen any teachers out on patrol, and wondered if the Hogwarts teachers wanted them to sneak out.

"If we get caught Im going to say my cat ran outside and I was chasing her down so she did not get eatin by something in the forest and you can say you came with to help me. Being as your older and you know more magic. Not that I really care about detention or house points there are way more important things." Eden flicked out her wand and started twirling it looking around just to be sure there was no one about.

Leah chuckled. The girl was quite imaginative. "I suppose that would work." She said, crossing her arms, and looking back at the girl. "I can say, I came out to protect you from all the werewolves and vampires."

Eden looked up at the sky and laughed. "Maybe vampires but I think any and all werewolves are asleep in the castle." Eden reached into her pocket and pulled out her ever present bag of jelly slugs and put a couple in her mouth before offering the bag to the older girl.

"No thanks." Leah waved her hand at the bag. She had long forbid herself eating candy. She would not get dumpy like some girls her age. Not that Eden was dumpy, quite the contrary. She was young and still had a few more years to enjoy the indulgence of candy before she would have to give it up. "It isn't a full moon anyway."

Eden could not believe that this girl would say no to candy. Eden loved it more than she loved working out which she did everyday just so she could indulge in candy. "More for me than I guess. So why have I not seen you around the common room I know your one of us but I never see you around." Eden questioned.

"Just be careful with the candy." Leah could not help but warn. She shrugged at Eden's question. "I'm usually in the library. I've noticed the common room has alot of people in it, almost all the time." The smirked. "The library does not."

"I work out at least once a day so I think I can eat some candy. The library? I never want to see that place again I spent more time there this term than I did in my room." Eden thought about all the classes she took and closed her eyes she was starting to get a headach again.

Leah blinked, feeling a little drowsy. Usually after she had spent an ample amount of time outside she would regain her need for sleep. "Ha." She muttered, at Eden's comment about the library. "It's a marvelous place."

"Maybe for you but for me its a nightmare. After this year Im going to drop a few classes." Eden shook her head one last time and breathed a sigh of happiness whent the pain went away.
