It had been a not-so-sober after party that Riley attended with her band. They had been doing a bunch of performances all around, and it was the last night for awhile, so they decided to go out and party with their fans and friends. The young mom wasn't happy that her partner couldn't come, but she understood that he wanted to stay home with their baby. Riley missed her little family, and couldn't wait to go back and spend more time with them. She didn't want to go out at first, but after some convincing from her band-mates, and an okay from Jerrod, Riley thought she might as well go out and let her hair down. Heaven knows it had been a long time since she had had a drink.
The sun had risen by the time that the multi-coloured hair lady got home. She was sure that she still had alcohol in her system, but could definitely walk in a straight line, and talk without hiccuping. Riley semi-hoped that her baby and partner were still in bed so she could have a quick shower and snooze before having to get up, but she was unsure what the time was. And unfortunately for Riley, she heard steps and movement coming from the little kitchen in their house. Feeling grumpy, Riley tried to shake some awareness into her head. She slowly made her way down the hall into the kitchen, where she saw Jerrod and Asher both eating their breakfast. Riley smiled a smelly smile towards Jerrod, but did a double-take when she saw Asher. He was eating his breakfast by himself! With a spoon! A Spoon!? Riley thought angrily. She didn't want to stunt her baby's growth for her sake but why would Jerrod let her miss out on teaching Asher to use a spoon! "Why does he have a spoon?" Riley asked loudly, but not taking her eyes off her little boy.

Jerrod had wait up most of the night for Riley to come home but had been disappointed when he'd gone to bed alone...again. He'd said it was fine for her to go out with her band but he hated saying no to her. Riley was his everything and he didn't want to upset her but he hated the fact that he spent everyday looking after Asher by himself and then looking forward to seeing the person he loved and she never came home. He hated not being able to sleep for worry that this time she might never come home. After all she wasn't exactly the strongest person in the world. Granted she was a brilliant witch but she could only do so much if someone attacked her.
He'd been woken up early this morning by Asher so wasn't in the best of moods after another night of no sleep. He'd cooked himself some egg on toast and mixed up some porridge for Asher leaving him in his high-chair to eat under the watchful eyes of his dad. Jerrod had taught him well but Asher did like to push his luck and every now and then the breakfast would end up on the floor. Jerrod smiled with relief when he heard the front door open and saw Riley walk in. She stank of booze and looked like she hadn't slept all night but at least she was home. Her question confused Jerrod though. "Umm, how else is he meant to eat porridge??" Had he done something wrong?? What was wrong with a child having a spoon?? It wasn't a knife after all.

Been so long since I've done this so sorry for it being rubbish XD

The brown eyes of the former Gryffindor snapped to the blonde haired man at his comment. She glared at him as best she could. She wasn't drunk, she knew what she was seeing and what she was talking about. And her baby had a spoon in his hand! "When I left for tour we were still bottle-feeding him with the bottle! Why does he all of a sudden have a - a spoon?" Riley asked again, angrily. Now she missed out on an important part of his growth! How did Jerrod even convince him to use one?! "I know I was gone for awhile, but you could've owled me to at least let me know how it's going on. He's using a spoon for goo-nesssake!" Riley said, moving closer to Jerrod, placing a kiss on her son's head as she walked past. She didn't want to yell, in case it frightened Asher. He didn't need to see his parents fighting either, but Riley, whether it was because she was tired, sleepy or a little tipsy, was cranky. "Obviously I know you don't eat porridge with your hands or anything, even if my ffamily wasn't brought up on upper bread crusts or whatever like yourss." Riley continued, before realizing she was rampaging. The young mom turned away from her partner, and looked at her child, watching him eat with a spoon. He was so cute though. Riley didn't want to get too close to him, because she figured she smelt pretty bad, but all she wanted to do was hug him and give him lots of little kisses. But first, Jerrod had to explain himself.

Jerrod was surprised at the daggers she stared at him. If looks could kill... He understood when she spoke again but was still very confused. "I can hardly stop him from growing up just because you're on tour. Just because you're not here doesn't mean I'm going to stop teaching him how to do the necessary things in life like eating, writing, talking, going to the loo..." Jerrod guessed this was probably just where Riley was tired but some of the things she was saying were starting to dig into him. "Just because you're upset doesn't mean you have to take a dig at my family. We may have money but we're no different to any other family. I thought you would know that more than anyone." He understand why Riley was acting like this. She chose to go away when their son was still young. She should have realised that he would grow up in that time. He could feel his anger building up inside him but he hated the fact that he was getting angry with her. He had been looking forward to seeing her again after missing her for so long and now he wished he was sat here alone with his young son and a glass of beer. He needed something to lighten his mood right now and a beer was just what he needed but he already smelt enough of that from Riley's breathe and didn't want to waste his time.

The young mother folded her arms, and continued to stare daggers at her partner as he spoke. Riley began to realize that maybe she had freaked out over nothing, and none of this was Jerrod's fault, but she was hardly going to back down now. Why couldn't he see how important this was to Riley? "'Course you aren't going to stop him, I'm not that selfish. But - like I did say if you were liiiistening, you could have owled me and I could'v coome!" Riley exclaimed. "And, I am totally not taking a dig at your family, calm ya farm, you got all sarcastic with me." She said grumpily. If he was going to get snarky with her, or question her sarcastically, she was allowed to respond and stand up for herself. She was a Gryffindor after all! Riley felt her head spinning, and she unfolded her arms to support herself on the wall. It would definitely not help her case if she fell over. Huffing, Riley took a glance at her precious boy who wasn't seeming to take much notice of the fight happening in front of him, rather eating his porridge - with his spoon of course - and he made Riley smile. She had so missed him, and made a secret promise to herself to not go on tour again until he was old enough to go to Hogwarts. Riley wouldn't tell Jerrod of this promise yet, she still had to win the fight. The singer looked back at the man her eyes narrowing again to show she was still angry. "I can see that you are going to be unreasonable about this, so I'm going to go shower and have a nap while you cool down." Riley snapped. It was incredibly hypocritical of her, but at the moment she was upset that she missed out on something so important, and so cute in her baby's life. Swirling around (and regretting the fast movement, quickly taking a side step to combat the dizziness and the fall that was about to happen), Riley moved swiftly, yet a hand still on the wall, towards the bathroom to sit under the hot water of the shower, hoping to cool off herself.

Jerrod involuntary smirked at Riley's comment. Of course he wasn't going to send her an owl telling her all about what was happening at home. For starters, not much did happen at home as - for a scitorari anyway - he lived a pretty normal life. He got up in the morning, took Asher to his mum's, went to work, picked up Asher, came home, had tea and went to bed. There was nothing interesting to write about. The main reason he hadn't bothered was because she would probably be too drunk or too tired to read or write a letter and there was no way her band were going to be happy with her ditching them mid tour after she chose to go.
Jer saw Riley becoming unstable - clearly still slightly drunk - so he was at the ready to run and grab her if she fell but the next thing she disappeared off upstairs. He slumped in his chair and looked at their little boy. Jerrod placed his hand in his pocket and pulled out a little box which opened revealing a ring. It had cost him and arm and a leg to buy it but he didn't care. It was worth it for Riley. He had been planning to propose to her as soon as she got back from her tour but was now really the right time?? She was still drunk and tired and she was pissed off with him. "Is it time Asher??" He shook his head after speaking because his sun just grinned at him with porridge around his mouth. Jer grabbed a clothe and wiped Asher's face then placed him on the floor to play before clearing their breakfast away. He wanted nothing more than to make Riley happy but would this make her happy at the moment??

The sound of heavy rain woke Riley up. She opened her brown eyes before slowly sitting up, feeling much better, and much cleaner than before. Riley rubbed her eyes as the scene came back into her head of before she took a nap. Clapping her palm to her head, she realized how silly she had been. Of course, fuelled by alcohol, Riley had been far more grumpy than usual, and far more stubborn. She had been rude and mean to Jerrod, and it was hardly his fault. She hadn't even kissed Asher as she stumbled past him! Though, that was probably a good thing, as he wouldn't have enjoyed the smell of her breath. The young mother knew she had to go apologize. Not always her favourite thing to do, Riley cursed herself for being so silly. She had been looking forward to going home after tour, and she ruined her return! Groaning as she pushed herself out of bed, Riley thought that she would offer to take her two boys out for lunch. She felt like she should do more to show her love, but that was at least a start. She only hoped Jerrod didn't wish she was still out on tour, though, she knew he loved her too. Putting on a dressing gown to warm herself up, Riley quickly glanced in the mirror to neaten herself up before heading back downstairs.
Riley found Asher and Jerrod in the lounge. She shambled into the room, giving Jerrod a sheepish smile. She joined Asher on the ground, sitting behind him, crossing her legs. "So uh," Riley started, her head bowed but looking up at Jerrod. "You still grumpy at me?" Riley teased before quickly starting again, remembering she was supposed to be apologizing. "I'm sorry I flipped out, that was way over the top." She confessed.

Jerrod had spent the last two hours cleaning, tidying and generally just trying to get his mind off things. It hadn't worked very well but at least the house was looking nice. While Riley had been away he'd been more interested in spending time with his son and the rest of his family rather than looking after the house. He never left it to become a huge mess but it was never the tidiest house ever.

Jer was led across the sofa with his head on the arm watching Asher play with a few toys on the floor when Riley came in again. He was guessing she'd fallen asleep for the last two hours as she wasn't looking her best at the moment. Still beautiful in Jer's eyes though. He couldn't name a single time where he'd seen her less than beautiful. He rolled his eyes at her comment. He couldn't help it. He was annoyed at the way she had reacted when she'd entered the house at a ridiculous time in the morning, stinking of alcohol and still drunk. He thought she'd grown up from that even if it was a tour with her band. Jerrod got off the sofa and sat in front of Asher, he then took Riley's hands either side of their son and leant over to kiss her. It was nothing special but it was his acceptance of her apology. "Maybe next time you'll sober up before you come back from a drunken tour." Jerrod made it out as a bit of a joke but he was being very serious. He didn't want a replay of this morning and if that's how Riley reacted when she was drunk then he didn't want to see her like that. He hated seeing her so vulnerable over everything else but he wasn't going to tell her she wasn't allowed to do something she loved. "How about I make some lunch?? Help your stomach go back to normal." He squeezed her hand with a smile knowing that she couldn't be feeling too good right now.

Riley's guilt for her over reaction was growing bigger and bigger as each minute passed by. When Jer grabbed her hands, she felt an overwhelming moment of mixed emotions. Riley was glad that Jerrod was so forgiving, that he still loved her no matter what, even when she was at her worst. But it made her feel even worse. She was the worst girlfriend ever! Riley wondered how she got so lucky to have such a good guy in her life.
A small smile grew on her face as she accepted the kiss from Jerrod, her apology being accepted. However, she wasn't going to take him for granted. She still wanted to take him out. Riley understood Jerrod's comment had more of a serious tone behind it rather than a joke, and she bowed her head. "The whole tour wasn't drunk...it was just last night." Riley trailed off, but not going any further. There was no point in arguing about such a stupid fight. She decided to just let it be. Especially after he offered to make lunch. Riley returned his hand squeeze before replying. "I was actually hoping that I could take you and Asher out for lunch. To say sorry, and that I've missed you." The mother replied, smiling.

Jerrod smiled. He was very forgiving when it came to the people he loved but it was still nice for people to try and earn his forgiveness. It made him feel less used. He knew obviously that Riley wasn't using him but it cheered him up that she was making an effort to make him happy after the petty argument that she had started. Restaurants wasn't exactly where Jerrod's knowledge was but he was happy to trust Riley's judgement on which one was good. "Of course. Where do you want to go??" He picked up Asher and started putting some little shoes on his feet. It was almost Summer but there was still a little bit of a chill in the air and he didn't want his only son to become ill.

A smile played on Riley's lips as Jerrod agreed to lunch and started to get Asher ready. Riley moved forward, picking up a little shoe and helping get the child ready. She had missed this, just the little things, and his teeny tiny little feet. "Somewhere close would be nice." Riley replied to Jerrod, starting to feel homesick, even though she was at home. She didn't think she would go on tour for awhile, not until Asher had started school anyway. With the money that the couple were pulling in, she could afford to have a few years off anyway.
Riley got herself ready, making herself look more appropriate for lunch. She returned into the living room before smiling at her little family. "Ready?" Riley asked her two boys before taking Jerrod's arm and moving out of the house. Not feeling up to apparition, and with her little boy, Riley decided to take them to a small place that was in walk-able distance.

It didn't take very long to get to the restaurant that Riley had chosen but they'd put Asher in a push chair anyway as it made it easier to sit him next to the table. The trio entered the restaurant. Jerrod recalled being here a couple of times but he didn't go out very often. It was a nice little place. Small and quiet and not too expensive but still very pretty. The light was low but there was very big windows that revealed a view across to some grassy hills. There was a small bar with a kitchen window next to it so you could see the chefs preparing your food. The tables were circular covered in white table cloths with a pale blue square one on top and a candle in the middle of the table. They were going to have to keep an eye on that with Asher around. Jerrod couldn't understand why it was never busy. He smiled at the waiter by the door before saying "Table for two and a half please??" The waiter chuckled and showed them to a table by the kitchen window. Jer placed Asher tucked under the edge of the table then pulled a chair out for Riley and sat opposite her. It was a long time since they'd all gone out for a meal together and Jerrod was already enjoying it.

Riley was feeling a lot better after the walk with her boys, and upon entering the restaurant, she smiled at the waiter that took them to their seat. The young mother really needed to spend some time with Jerrod and Asher, it had been far too long since they had had lunch together. Riley helped get Asher set up before grinning at her partner as he pulled out the chair for her. "Well thank-you kind sir." She giggled. Riley wondered what else she may have missed with Asher, and so left the choice of his food up to Jerrod, in case there was something he particularly liked. He was still young, but maybe he liked a soup or something.
Riley had barely glanced at her menu before the waitress came back for their orders; she had been too busy gushing over her little boy, and stealing glances with her man. She quickly looked over it before deciding on the lasagna, before waiting for Jerrod to order for himself and Asher. She was loving being with them.

Jerrod saw the waitress come over and left Riley to order first. Ladies first after all. Also, he'd been too busy thinking about the ring in his pocket and had barely taken in anything on the menu when he was reading it. For all he knew, Riley could have been talking to him this whole time and he wouldn't have realised. He was so nervous about how he was going to do it. Jer looked down the menu and decided to just have a steak - well done - and some soft chips for Asher. He was just starting to eat some harder foods but Jerrod still didn't want to risk him choking on something because it was too hard. After the waitress left them, Jer looked at Riley and got taken away by her beauty. This happened to him several times a day while she was around but this time he couldn't help himself. He had to do it now. "I know this is very out of the blue but I've been so excited about this and yet so nervous and haven't been able to find the right opportunity." Jerrod could feel his heart racing and his hands slightly shaky. He'd done many things in his life but he had never been so terrified to do anything in his life. He moved over towards Riley, knelt down on one knee and pulled the ring out of his pocket. "Riley Sparkles, would you do me the honour of being my wife??" His heart felt as if it were going to burst out of his chest waiting for her response.

As Jerrod began to speak, Riley looked at him a bit confused. She had just gotten back from tour, and due to her embarrassing behavior earlier in the morning, they had barely caught up at all. Riley hardly had a moment to mull over what had gotten Jerrod so excited and nervous at the same time - a brief thought of him wanting to move countries or something had popped into her head, but all thoughts were suddenly absent when Jerrod got down on a knee and pulled out a ring. For a long moment, Riley forgot where they were, forgot everything that had happened in the morning as she started giggling in joy. She hurled herself out of her seat, latching her arms around Jerrod, still unable to control her giggles. Riley leaned back and looking at Jerrod, she cried out "Yes!". She was hardly able to fathom what had just happened or what it meant, but Riley managed to calm herself to softly kiss Jerrod, rather than tackling him down to the ground in the middle of the restaurant. Moving back and standing up, Riley looked over to Asher who was watching the scene quietly and unsure. Riley grinned at her little boy and lifted him into her arms, giving him an almighty hug. She hadn't thought of the ring yet, but as she looked at Jerrod again, it dawned on her what was happening. Holy crap. She thought. Still holding onto Asher, Riley sat slowly down on her seat, smiling softly at Jerrod. She didn't know where to go to from here, but knew she'd have to send word to her Mom as soon as they left the restaurant, as she would slaughter Riley if she found out from someone else.
