Closed A Small Comfort

Amaryllis had noticed the gardens from one of the towers earlier that week, and she'd finally found time away from her studies to locate it. The moment she'd approached, the first year knew she'd found her home away from home. It was a lot larger than her home garden she and her dad kept, but that just meant that she would have to spend hours and hours walking the paths and admiring all of the different flowers. Tucked against her chest, she'd brought her dancing daisy, Shasta, who was happily swaying to her own tune in the warmth of daylight.

Suddenly, Amaryllis stopped as she came upon a section of the garden filled with lilies of a variety of colors. "Look, Shasta! We've found your family!" She walked with her plant over to the lilies and took a seat on the ground beside them, placing her own potted lily on the ground. Amaryllis inhaled deeply, enjoying the fresh air mixed with the floral aroma. Next time, she'd have to bring some of her books down. She could study with a different plant or flower every day and likely not have to repeat for weeks. Laying down next to the daisies, the Ravenclaw rested her head on her hands and stared up at the beautiful blue skies. A small smile flirted with her lips. It wouldn't be a bad napping place either.

Everything about his new magical surroundings was starting to feel too burdensome for Jaewon. The moment he had finally accepted something peculiar about the castle, he would see something just as mind-boggling as the last or more. It was stressful being a muggle-born in a magical school, but he still liked it there. It felt like a breath of fresh air, to be away from his family especially his boisterous younger siblings. As much as he loved and deeply cared for them, they annoyed him to the core. The one thing he did missed terribly though, were the four plotted plants he left back home. They were a gift he had gotten as a birthday present from his grandparents about two years back. He loved his succulents dearly, and had even given them their own names. His two Baby Jade succulents were named Prada and Gucci, names specially picked out due to his grandmothers love for extravagant shopping. His other two were Zebra Plant succulents called Putt and Chip, as he grandfather loved playing muggle golf.

The night before, Jaewon had dreamed of his grandparents, causing him to feel a tad homesick. Whenever he thought of them, he would be reminded of his four succulents. He knew there was a lawn outside, he had seen it through the window several times. Deciding a walk would do him good and make him feel better, he made his way out of the castle and headed towards the lawn.

He walked around the lawn aimlessly, breathing in the crisp and breezy air. He didn't think too much about the direction he was walking, it just felt nice to be outside. Before he even realised it, he ended up in the garden section of the lawn. He looked around speechless, admiring all the different types of flowers. It was beautiful. There were flowers he had not seen before too. Taking in his surroundings and appreciating the different colours of the flowers, he noticed from a small distance, like what seemed to be some sort of non-flower form on the ground. He tiptoed towards the form slowly, heaving a sigh of relief when he realised it was just a fellow student. But what was she doing there? And why was she laying down? Was she hurt?

"Err...are you okay?" he asked worriedly.
