A short break

Lewis had spent the day shopping for his school equipment. It was quite a long list for him to remember so he had made sure to bring out his list so that he could easily check off the things he had and see the things that he needed. It had been a tired day for this young boy and he felt like he needed a little break from all this walking and shopping, it was a bit too much for him to do all in one go so he put the new book he had bought into his bag and began to wander around looking for somewhere to stop and rest his tired little legs for a few minutes.

As he walked he spotted a nice looking bench which over looked the water of the harbour. It seemed like the best place he had seen around here to stop and gather himself before the next shopping mission. He wished he had just given the list to his mum so she could do it for him as evidently shopping was more of a girl thing, he couldnt understand how they could spend hours walking from shop to shop looking at everything but buy not very much. As he sat down he let out a little sigh of reliefe as he felt his legs instantly thaking him for the rest. He put his bags on the floor and enjoyed his little pit stop.

Zinaida Zhefarovich yawned and glanced down at the long list of school supplies she still needed to find time to purchase. Despite being a girl, who had more than enough clothing in her closets, Zinaida didn't like shopping. Well for things like school supplies at least. Zinaida was constantly being reminded that she was being forced to go to the same school as Vladimir, and it killed her inside. Zin loved her brother dearly, but he really knew how to steal the attention away. Plus he could be quite mean when he wanted to be, and the last thing Zinaida wanted was for others to hate her because of her brother. "I don't even know where to get half of these things at." Zinaida thought glumly as she stared down at her list once more. The books and wand were kind of obvious, so that's why she already had them purchased and sitting in a trunk at home just waiting to be taken with her to school. But the rest she was still working on finding and forking over the money for.

Passing by a bench, Zinaida noticed a boy her age. Maybe he was going to be going to Hogwarts, and just maybe he had finished his shopping already. Zinaida figured it wouldn't hurt to ask him. Quietly, Zinaida approached the brown haired boy and delicately placed her hands behind her back. Almost as if she were trying to show him that she was nothing but harmless. "Hello! Are you a student?" Zinaida asked, her caramel colored eyes taking the boy in as best as she could. If he was a student, or was going to be one soon, then he might be able to help Zinaida figure out whatever it was that she needed for school. Hopefully she wasn't bothering him either. Sometimes people didn't like having strangers just come up to them and ask them random questions. Zinaida wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to talk to her.

As Lewis sat he closed his eyes for a second to take in the sounds around him, and he was also tired from all the walking he had done it felt nice to shut of his vision for a second. He listened to the water crashing again the harbour walls and the hustle and bustle going on behind him. People walking and talking to each other, it was a nice atmosphere here and it always put the boy in a good mood and not to mention you couldnt be in a bad mood when the sun was shining like it was. His relaxtion minute was interupted however by the sound of a girls voice. Lewis didnt think it was for him but instinctivly he opened his eyes and looked anyway as the voice seemed very close to him and he thoguht it could be relevant to him as he was a student, even so a very new one.

As Lewis looked around his met gaze with a small girl, well they were probably the same age give or take. She looked a little fragile to him from the way that she was holding herself. He smiled kindly at her before he replied to her. "I am yes, just taking a little break from all the shopping iv got to do for school." He said looking down at his various bags full of books, cauldrons and all of that stuff he had written down on the list."Why do you ask? Is there something i can help you with?" He asked inquisitively. He was not sure how a boy like him could help but you never know he could do his good deed of the day by helping her. Also not to mention it could keep him busy from having to do any more of his shopping and he could make a new friend out of it seeing as he didnt have any round here as he lived in a different part of New zealand but his parent had said this was the best place to go and find everything in one place.

Zinaida mentally thanked god that her brother wasn't here. They were twins, and she loved him to death, but there were times when Vladimir had the knack of scaring people away. Zinaida vaguely wondered how on earth he ever planned to get married or fall in love. Sure the Zhefarovich family was kind of strict and fairly unaccepting of others, but to Zinaida it seemed like many of them were able to make exceptions to some and they found happiness. Vlad would likely never find true happiness with the way he was with others. Like right now, instead of letting Zinaida venture up to this boy, he'd just wind up scaring him off. Or the kid would know of him or the family and would be all over him like some sort of fangirl. Zinaida found it hard to be around other kids when she was following her brother around. Thus why she insisted on going shopping for her school supplies alone instead of going with others. Vlad wasn't too much fun to shop with anyways. Zinaida hoped that she would be able to make a friend soon. One that she could gossip with and take shopping with her from time to time.

"Ah, you're shopping for school too?! Absolutely perfect! I actually kind of need help getting my supplies too! I have a list of what I need, but I honestly have no idea where to go. Would you be willing to help?" This area wasn't something Zinaida was all to familiar with anyways. If this boy didn't help her she had no idea what she would do. Zinaida figured she could get a map and use that if she really needed to, but Zinaida had no idea if she could even read a map properly. Zinaida pulled her list out and unfolded it so the boy could see what she needed to get still. Which mostly pertained to her cauldron and writing supplies. Maybe he had already gone and purchased these items so he would know exactly where all the shops that held these items were at.
