Sam had set out to Brightstone in the early afternoon and had been setting up since then. This was going to be him and Toni's first date as a couple...again. But it was also her birthday and Valentines present. He had to make sure things were perfect. He was wearing a blue shirt, a pair of jeans and his converse but instead of spiking his hair up he decided he'd just leave it the way it was. After gelling it up for most of the year it was almost trained to stay in a certain postion. Sam almost preferred it this way.

Sam was in 'their' spot once more. When he arrived he couldn't believe how well the place looked, he hadn't visted it since him and Toni split the first time. Sam was glad it didn't change, the ingravings in the tree looked like it was done not more than a couple of days ago. Sam smiled to himself but decided to not let himself get distracted. He then quickly got to work. Sam had set up a picnic - well the house elves took care of that- and brought a large chudley cannons blanket. He really had a lot of their merchandise. Sam had also set up some lights and draped them over the branches. His uncle had managed to make sure they would stay alight with magic for more than enough time.

It was almost sunset when Sam had finished everything. He was just on time. His note to Toni said to meet him at sunset at their spot. Sam was sitting on the Chudley Cannons blanket and leaning up against the tree when he noticed one of the fairy lights had slipped of the branch. He quickly climbed up the tree and leaned over the branch struggling to hook it back on. The thought of using his wand didn't enter his mind, it was fully concentrated on getting the light back onto the branch.

Toni couldn't wait for that afternoon. Her and Sam had plans together. The thought of them together still wasn't exactly clicking in her mind. Part of her was surprised at how quickly the two of them had just picked up where the last relationship had stopped violently. Though the other part of Toni was more than glad they didn't have to deal with the arkwardness again. Heck who am I kidding Toni thought as she stood in front of her mirror knowing quite well that she still got nervous around Sam after all this time. The butterflies never seemed to rest. Yet in an odd way, Toni was getting used to the feeling. It was only natural by now. And if it meant that she could be with Sam, it was more than perfectly fine in her book.

Finally after about two hours of deciding upon an outfit, Toni pulled on her "perfect" outfit. Toni thought it was simple enough but still something that she hoped she looked good in. Everything did have to be perfect. This was her first date with Sam since they got back together. This was the first ever date she had in her now teenage life. This was something that was making Toni never more nervous. Literally she had to tell herself to breathe as she was curling her hair into loose curls. Without too much time gone to waste, Toni was ready and right on time.

Taking one more deep breath she walked out of the Slytherin dorm room and made her way down towards the Brightstone area. The fact that she was going to find herself soon in 'their' spot was an odd and exciting feeling indeed. Toni hadn't had the guts to go to their spot in the longest time. What if something had happened to it? What if 'their' tree fell down or worse what if someone else carved their initials onto the tree. The thought made Toni shiver for a moment.

Her brown eyes looked up at the sky. It was almost sunset. She made a mental note to quicken the pace she was walking, walking down the path, 'their path. Soon she found herself in complete shock and surprise when she reached the place. "Wow" She said a huge smile falling onto her lips lighting up her whole face. Sam had put up lights in the tree and even a cute little blanket. Quidditch of course she thought with a small laugh as she glanced around for where Sam was. Finally she noticed him over by the tree attempting to fix a light strand or something of that matter. "Don't fall" Toni said teasing him still in complete shock that he had put this all together. Put this together for her.

Sam had just got the light hooked onto the branch once more when he heard a voice that made his heart thump in his chest. He looked up with a wide grin on his face and then down at his girlfriend standing below him. Sam made his way down the tree and landed on the grass with a 'thump'. "Happy Valentines and Birthday....eh day!?" He said shrugging at the last part. He then wrapped his arms around Toni in a tight hug. He loved how he could do that now and not feel awkward at all. Toni looked wonderful as usual, her effortless style wasn't even the half of it. Sam didn't know and would never know how he was so lucky to get someone like Toni.

Toni smile couldn't go wider if she tried. Though the already size of her smile just hinted to the blonde that her face would be sore later on, not that this mattered in the least. "This is brilliant" Toni said as she wrapped her arms around Sam. He had gone to so much trouble. Not wanting to let go of Sam's hung, Toni knew that she should. Leaning back she pushed a strand of hair behind one ear. "I still can't believe you're did this. It's so perfect" She said not knowing another work that could even come out to discribe it. how lucky was she? To have someone like Sam. Someone that could think of something this cute to put on.

"And I noticed the blanket. Typical. Chudley Cannons" Toni said playfully rolling her eyes slightly in jest of course. It was cute that Sam liked the quidditch team so much. Even back when they first met he was determined to one day be part of the team. Toni had no doubt in her mind that he would accomplish this goal just as much as she was positive she would be at his side when he did.

Sam gave his shoulders a quick shrug as he looked at his set picnic. "I had to do something for the occaisions." He grinned down at her. It wasn't even a lot of effort and anyway to Sam the amount of work didn't matter, it was Toni afterall. When she pointed out the blanket Sam had to laugh. "Oh yeah sorry about that." He said while running his hand through his hair. "It was the only thing that I could find." The Chudley Cannons blanket was a gift from his uncle at Christmas not so long ago, he had brought it to Hogwarts with him this year and it had finally been put to use. "Well, can I interest you in a butterbeer?" He turned back to Toni with one eyebrow raised.

"No need to be sorry. The blanket's fitting" Toni said letting another small laugh escape her lips, her gaze not being able to look away from Sam. Sometimes she felt like she was just staring, hoping that he didn't notice these times. It was just so desperately hard to look away at times, he was so perfect. Though finally Toni managed to pull her eyes away from him and glance at her surroundings a little more closely. How badly she wanted to go trace the engraving of their names with her fingers just to relive the memories. How she couldn't help but go back to the earlier days when they first met.

Pushing herself out of that, she heard Sam's voice. "No when have I ever turned down a butterbeer" Toni said rolling her eyes playfully. It had to be one of her weaknesses, butterbeer. "You did think of just about everything didn't you. Lights, a blanket, butterbeer" Toni went on not knowing if this night even could get any better.

Sam looked down at the orange and white blanket on the grass and then turned back to Toni who was looking at him. He smiled to her. Even without all the fancy lights and food just having Toni with him in 'their' spot was perfect enough. Sam laughed as Toni commented about the butterbeer. He knew how much Toni favoured the drink and it was one of the reasons why he brought some with him, that and the fact that it was his favourite drink aswell. Sam walked over to the picnic and knelt down on the quidditch blanket. He reached into the basket and took out the two butterbeers. There was a suprise for Toni in the basket that he hoped she'd like. He placed Toni's butterbeer across from him and opened his own, but waited for her to join him before he drank it.

Toni walked over to the blanket and took a seat across from Sam looking at the pinic basket with a quick glance. He did think of everything she thought shaking her head mentally. Her eyes found their way to Sam then right over towards their tree. Only for a moment though. Soon she was settled right back looking in the general area of Sam. Picking up the butterbeer she opened it up.

Taking a small sip she felt warm right away. "I haven't been here in awhile" Toni began looking around once more knowing that Sam would surely know what here she was talking about. "Have you been here since well when was the last time you came here?" Toni wondered as she pushed a strand of blonde hair behind her ear almost hoping that Sam hadn't come here until now. The thought of him here alone made a small knot in her stomach appear. Though a smile remained on her face.

Sam took a sip out of his while listening to what Toni was saying. He hadn't been here since the last time. The last time when he and Toni were not a couple but a time where they became friends once more. Sam shook his head and watched his thumb as it circled the top of the bottle. "No, I haven't." He said continuing watching his thumb. He couldn't help but feel happy that Toni hadn't come back to the spot until now. Sam looked up at Toni and smiled at her, "I couldn't really.." He paused, many 'Brightstone Weekends' had come and gone and of coarse the thought came into his head but he couldn't actually bring himself to go back. "..ever since you came along I can't be here without you." Sam said mockingly rolling his eyes. It wasn't a bad thing that he couldn't come here alone, he liked it better with Toni. Sam took his free hand and placed it behind his back so he could lean on it, while he grinned at Toni.
