Nixon had been relatively happy with his rose deliveries thus far. However that completely changed when he read the next name on his delivery list, causing the smile on his face to turn into a grimace and his eyebrows to furrow. It was just his luck that he would be made to deliver a rose to someone on the hufflepuff quidditch team, and worse than that, the guy that was apparently close with Geo, someone Nixon despised even further. He groaned in annoyance and pulled the rose from his basket before heading over to the hufflepuff house table to get the delivery over and done with. "Got a rose for you." Nixon stated as he approached Austin Branning, feigning politeness in the hope it would mean the interaction would end quickly. He held out the rose and expected the boy to accept it so he could be on his way. The last thing he needed was to have this ordeal of a delivery last longer than a few minutes and for it to put a damper on the rest of his valentine's day.

Austin was trying to enjoy his food in peace when he was suddenly interrupted by a younger boy with a rose. He knew the face, and by the boys demeanour he knew who he was too. "Thanks, just leave it on the table and get lost,"

Nixon was glad the boy returned the sentiment meaning the delivery wouldn't take any longer than either of them wanted it to. Though that was all he was glad for, the rude impression he was getting one he wished he wasn't forced to experience during the rose deliveries, of all things. It wasn't surprising that this Austin Branning shared the same level of rudeness and elitism as the rest of the hufflepuff quidditch team because just from name alone he appeared to be as unremarkable and boring as the rest of them, compensating by excluding other members of hufflepuff from joining their ranks. Nixon with the rose already in his hand placed it on the table delicately despite the anger growing in his chest, still wanting to do the delivery justice and make sure the rose and whatever message was sent to this other boy wasn't damaged. When the rose was safely on the table he began to turn away intending to complete the rest of his deliveries and forget that the interaction just passed had never happened.

Austin,

Thanks for being an awesome beater. Hufflepuff is grateful that you are on her team. Thanks for being great and allowing this final year of mine to be fun despite it all.

All the best for the future,
Ares
