Michael was walking at a slow pace, he had no need to rush. His destination-somewhere that served strong alcohol. How should he feel about that snog session with Sophia? Well he certainly didnt feel guilty, but he needed to think about whether or not to see the girl again. He would exchange a few owls with her while she was at school and see what happened. The girl was beautiful, but it was all a matter of how much commitment she was looking for. For now, it didnt need to play over in his mind. He continued walking lazily down the cobbled street of Brightstone.

[This topic is set a bit in the past, during the last Brightstone Weekend]

Daniel apparated back into Brightstone looking terrible. His right eye was swollen shut, blood was leaking from the corner of his mouth, and he moved with a limp. After leaving the Three Broomsticks he and Shane had first argued, and then fought. It had turned pretty ugly and finally Daniel just left. Nothing had gotten resolved but he didn't care. He had to find Sophia and explain things to her. He hadn't meant to leave her there like that, but he had to deal with Shane.

Limping hastily down the street Daniel's blue eyes searched for Sophia. He made his way toward the Three Broomsticks, praying that she would still be there. Daniel had no idea how much time had passed and was dreading what would happen if she was gone. In his attempts to seek out his girlfriend the brunette neglected to watch where he was going. He suddenly found himself hitting something solid, and Daniel was a bit surprised to find that it was a guy. He jumped back and looked up at the very attractive male he had just run into.

"My apologies, I was not looking," he said softly in his Eastern European accent. He gave the guy a nod to show he really was sorry to have run into him like that.

Michael was suddenly bumped into, he blinked as he turned to see who it was that had hit him. He heard an apology just as he took the first glance of, what Michael now knew as, the male. He had a terribly swollen eye and Michael suddenly thought he had done it, but then backtracked and realised how stupid that seemed. "Hey its okay man, ouch that eye looks pretty bad." He noted. Studying to be a healer, Michael knew he could fix it with a simple spell, but suggesting to do so would probably freak the man right out.

"Oh, right..." In truth Daniel had yet to actually look at himself. He had left as quick as he could in an attempt to find Sophia. "I should probably get cleaned up I guess." Daniel finally looked at the guy properly as he was standing there before him, and he saw that he was quite attractive. This was something the Quidditch player was quite willing to admit in his head, but not aloud.

"Hey, where are you heading?" It was a stretch, but Daniel saw no harm in asking. The chances of Sophia still being here were slim. He was pretty sure he had blown it with her anyway for running off like he did. Might as well try and salvage what bit of the evening was left.

Michael laughed. "Somewhere that serves strong alcohol." He said in a joking manner, although he was completely serious. Michael took a good look at the guy in front of him and he admitted that he would be rather attractive if the eye had less swelling, it only made the urge to mention that he could fix it to the man stronger. Simply so he could see what lay beneath the puffy eye. "How about yourself?" He questioned back, a little curious where someone could be heading in such a hurry while looking so battered.

"Same," Daniel said in a lingering tone, his bloodied lips curling into a lopsided smirk. "Mind if I tag along? I promise I'm not as scary as I look." Daniel was quite confident that this guy would say yes. Although he was still caught up on Sophia thoughts of her were slowing slipping away. Besides, it wasn't cheating if it was a guy, right? Plus this guy might not even be into that.

Michael laughed at the guys comment. "Yeah no problem. Be nice to have some company." Michael said smoothly, completely disregarding the fact that he had just snogged Sophia only a few moments ago. Michael began walking down Brightstone, thinking of his options on where to go. As they walked a moment of silence washed over them, before Michael raised a hand to his hair and ran it through. "The names Michael by the way." He said casually, thinking it might be a good idea.

"Daniel," the brunette responded with a nod and a smirk. Michael was quite good looking, and Daniel was getting a good feeling about him. He had accepted Daniel as company, which was a good start. Now they just had to get some alcohol in them and see where things led.

Daniel stopped as they came in front of the Hog's Head. "What about here?" He looked at Michael, wondering what he would say. He knew the Three Broomsticks had drinks, but that was not exactly top on his list of places to go. After all, what if Sophia was still there? Daniel doubted it, but he didn't really want to have to explain all of this right now. He wanted to drink and enjoy the company of the gorgeous guy beside him.

Daniel, Michael liked it. He grinned until they came to a stop in front of the Hogs Head. The grin turned into a smirk as Michael thought back to his discovery with Dietrich. "Perfect." He clapped his hands together and opened the door for Daniel. He then looked at Daniel, really looked at him. Michael wasnt sure about him, what team did he play for? Michael thought alcohol would be the perfect way to find out. Michael also made a mental note to mention that he could fix his eye once they got a proper conversation going. That way he might be trusted a little more.

With a quiet "thanks" Daniel walked through the open door and into the Hog's Head. He headed to the bar but did not sit down, instead stopping to standing before it. His plan was to get some drinks and go sit down somewhere more out of the way. When the barkeep came up he ordered two Firewhiskeys without hesitation.

"I hope you don't mind, I would rather not sit at the bar." Daniel didn't figure this would be a problem, but you never know.

Michael followed after Daniel and was glad the man ordered firewhiskey. Michael nodded when Daniel said he would rather not sit at the bar, Michael glanced two seats down from where he was standing and noted the place he found out for certain he was bisexual. He wondered what Dietrich was up to now, but decided it didnt matter, he was cute, but Michael had to say he much perferred someone, well he guess he couldnt describe it, but Daniel definatly fit into the criteria of what Michael preferred in guys.

Once the two Fireswhiskeys were on the bar before them Daniel took one on his hand. He raised it to Micahel in a silent toast before tilting his head back and drinking the liquid. His throat did not welcome the burning sensation, but he knew his head would appreciate the after effects.

Setting the empty glass on the counter the brunette turned and walkd to a booth that looked secluded enough. He sat down and looked at the table for a few moments, pondering the night and what had brought him here. It was a strange mix of events, that was for sure, and although Daniel was not as happy as he would have liked he was certainly not unhappy. Michael was quite handsome and he had a good feeling about him.

Michael picked up the second glass of firewhiskey as Daniel picked up the first. He raised it with a wink in the toast and knocked it back, enjoying the familiar burning even though it wasnt entirely comfortable, but the warmth in his stomach as the alchohol settled in was definatly comfortable. He placed the glass down and followed Daniel to a booth, with lazy smile touching his face. He slid in opposite Daniel and looked at the man, still wondering what kind of guy he was. Michael was somewhat new at this, so he really couldnt be sure.
