Koboshi walked into the clearing as she sighed in bliss. She had found this clearing a week ago and had been coming here to clear her head away from her cousins and friends. She smiled and sat on the log that had fallen from the tree last night. It was really quite comfy. She looked up at the name she had written on the tree. 'Koshi Aiko 11, 2025' She smiled and continued her thoughts.

Alyss was walking to the Dark Forest towards her special clearing that she used whenever she needed to think since last year and her mouth nearly dropped open when she saw someone sitting on the log across from hers. 'Great. Another person disturbing my place.' She muttered to herself. 'Excuse me!' She snapped, glaring at the girl, her arms folded across her chest. 'What are you doing in my place?'

Koboshi sighed as she turned around to face the intruder. It was Alyss. Strange she should see her out here. "Alyss? Why are you here?" She asked in a slightly harsher tone then she would have normally. She frowned "Your place, this isn't your place, how is it your place?" She asked standing up and crossing her arms across her chest.

'I've been using this place since last year.' Alyss spoke calmer this time, pointing at the tree behind her. It had her name on it and last year when she had discovered the place. 'I discovered this clearing last year, and have been using it since last year to think, it's what keeps me so calm. The aura of the place.' She smiled slightly when she said that. 'How about I make a deal with you, since you remind me of me, how about I let you use this place too if you keep it a secret. And then we can talk to each other, and trust each other with secrets maybe? If we get comfortable enough with it of course.' She knew she was being generous, and she waited for Koboshi's response. Was she going to blow her off and ruin their acquaintanceship or accept?

'How about I make a deal with you, since you remind me of me, how about I let you use this place too if you keep it a secret. And then we can talk to each other, and trust each other with secrets maybe? If we get comfortable enough with it of course.' Koboshi nodded as she said it. It sounded good to her, why not share. "Ok, Alyss, you have your self a deal, I think that would be beneficial to the both of us" She said as she smirked at Alyss.

Alyss nodded slightly, as if she approved with what Koboshi said, her mind already whirring away with places that she could use instead of this place now, now that Koboshi had discovered it. There was the cliffs, or somewhere else in the forest... No too risky, especially in the day time. She'd have to put down her cover preferable at midnight after while everyone else was asleep, that way no one would know, no one would ever understand her. Especially other Slytherins or others in the other houses. They wouldn't understand the necessity of keeping up a facade. She gazed at Koboshi, she had no idea how easy it was for her, especially compared to Alyss. 'So, why did you come here?' She inquired, knowing that she was intruding, but she didn't care.

Koboshi sighed and sat back down. She wasn't really sure why she had come here this time. She just needed some peace and quiet away from all the commotion that was the Slytherin common room. She sighed. She didn't like having to spend time away from her family. Chihiro would be worried about her now as it was. She was pretty sure she had been supposed to meet her somewhere. Oh well. She looked back at Alyss and smiled. "I guess that I just needed to get away from my cousins for alittle while" She said as she looked back into the forest from where she had came.

Alyss prided herself in missing hardly anything, and she noticed Koboshi's gaze towards the way to the castle. Her mind already whirring with possibilities about this, Alyss knew it was a wonder that she wasn't placed in boring, dull Ravenclaw. 'I wouldn't know what that feels like.' She said quietly, gazing down at her feet, she walked over to sit next to Koboshi, a painful look on her face before it was quickly masked. It was the most she had ever shared with Koboshi ever. She wasn't sure why she said that, but she hoped that Koboshi might be the one person that she could trust with the secret of her past.

xIf you want to ask Alyss about her past, she'll probably answer, depends on the way you ask.x

Koboshi nodded as Alyss came to sit by her. She had noticed the look of pain on her face, but it had disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. She smiled slightly trying to cheer both herself and Alyss up. She decided to ask a question she had been itching to ask since the day she had met Alyss. But she wasn't sure how to ask it. She sighed slightly and looked back at the castle before looking over at Alyss. "Alyss......you know alot about me......More then most others that arn't of my blood" She said trying to think of the appropriate way to ask her burning question. "You seem to be there one minute......and gone the next" She continued. Still not sure of what she was trying to say. "What is it about your past your trying to hide from?" She asked as gently as she could. She could see the obvious pain behind the girls eyes evrytime some bought up there own past. She was curious as to why this would upset her. She wanted to know just how fragile this girl was when she wasn't being Alyss Summers, ex-Dark Elite. Why was she so tough and why did she find it hard to trust others?

xXHow was that Mel? I wasn't sure how it would come out, but I think I did pretty wellXx

xYou did great Teigs, it was a perfect way of asking.x

'It's a long story, and it doesn't have a happy ending. Well, at least there seems to be no happy ending in the future.' Alyss whispered, her eyes showing the pain that she felt when she mentioned her history, and when she heard others mention theirs. 'Are you still sure that you want to hear it Koboshi?' She gazed at the girl, willing to share, but only if the girl was sure that she wanted to hear, and only if she promised not to tell anyone about Alyss' past. She couldn't believe that she was showing emotion to anyone, especially a first year, but maybe Koboshi was her true friend.

Koboshi nodded as Alyss asked.
She truly did want to know about Alyss’s past,
and just WhY she was so afraid of it.
What was wrong that made it so
difficult to trust people?
Why did she flinch away when others smiled?
Why did she hide behind an unfaltering mask?
Koboshi wanted to know it to the very core of her being.
She wanted to know so much about Alyss,
that she was almost scared to hear it all.
“Yes Alyss, I want to hear your story,
please do tell me, I’m sure I can handle it”

She told her nodding slightly.
