<COLOR color="#000">Danielle Snow felt more free than she had in months. School was like a prison to her. One that kept her sheltered and miserable. There was nothing a good education could offer her. Most of what was taught to Daniella in classes she already knew. It was common sense most of the time. Or it could be easily discovered in a book. Another weird thing was that Danielle hated reading, but she seemed to always be reading. 'I like knowing things is all...' Daniella liked to pretend she knew everything. Every small little fact she could unravel was one more fact that she could someday use to her benefit. Knowledge was fascinating yet at the same time, it was rather boring. Daniella didn't like to be thought of as 'smart'. But she just liked to know things. It made her feel better. But that wasn't quite what happened in school. That was why she felt happy to be out of that wretched place. Graduating was the best thing she could have done with her life. Daniella didn't even miss being Prefect. She was just happy to get out of there with her sanity still in check. Whether Amethyst kept her sanity or not, didn't matter to Daniella. They may have been twins but Daniella felt that school had pulled them apart from one another. They were two very different people. Daniella wanted to dedicated herself to more knowledge, and art, and fine living. Culture, poetry, art museums, oh she wanted to see it all! School had been holding her back from seeing everything she had wanted to in life. Maybe, if luck provided it, she would find a traveling partner. Someone to go to all the museums and places with her. Daniella didn't have high hopes in meeting someone like that, so she figured a nice pet might keep her from being too lonely. Daniella thought it would be funny if she could buy someone to travel with her at first, but then she started to really think about it and begun to feel like it would be too much like slavery or something. Daniella didn't really have any friends either. None that she could at least count on outside of school like she could inside of school.
Stopping outside of the pet store, Daniella places her hands on the glass window and peered inside. Easily she knew she could go for an owl. They were cute and useful. But they were so typical. Daniella had a fascination with fairies. She even had a small vial of fairy dust attached to the necklace around her neck. The dust brought her good luck. It was magical to Daniella. If only fairies could be kept as pets. That would be too awesome. Or in Daniella's opinion it would. 'I bet a fairy could even hold a decent conversation with me.' No fairies for sale though. So it would appear as though the dust might be the closest thing to a fairy she might ever get. Daniella continued to stare into the pet store. She kind of needed some advice. What kind of pet would be most useful for traveling with? An owl, a puppy, or a hawk? Too many choices and not enough time to consider all the pros and cons of them. Daniella's hand dug into the thin pocket of her dress. A handful of Galleons fell into her pale hand and she pulled it out to gaze down at them. She could afford anything, but she didn't know what she wanted. That was the problem.
