Jun had gotten into costume, and even though he saw Priyanka nearly every day, he was still looking forward to spending time with her. It was different to being in the same classes all the time - Halloween feast was about having fun, and that's what Jun was hoping for that evening. He was dressed as a kitsune - a fox spirit from Japanese folklore. He didn't expect everyone to know what that was, but hoped it fitted in with the rest of the costumes.

"Anything you want to look at in particular?" Jun asked Priyanka as they stood near the entrance to the great hall. There were enough options that Jun was having difficulty weighing out which to go for. He generally had trouble with decisions and this was no exception. There was the spooky tent, of course, and a few other activities that some people were already getting into. Jun didn't know if he wanted to take part or not, but he'd go with whatever Priyanka said. It just seemed polite.

Priyanka couldn't think of a costume to wear for Halloween for a long time, but finally decided. However, this Halloween was special because she would spend this time with Jun and she was looking forward to this time. She was dressed as Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, maybe not all the magical children would know what her costume was based on, so she didn't know if the choice would be good enough. She was quite sure that Jun's costume would fit perfectly for this event.

"Is your costume a connection to Japan?'' she asked as they both stood at the entrance of the great hall. Then Jun asked her what she wanted to see. This year, Halloween had so much fun to enjoy that it was hard to decide even for her. All the activities seemed interesting, but Priyanka looked at what was going on in the big hall, then looked at Jun. "We can look at the dementor piñata." she said, as it seemed interesting and exciting fun.

"Yeah," Jun said, glad she'd asked. "There are these fox spirits, I suppose, and there's even a festival in Japan to celebrate them. They're sort of messengers, but they also shape-shift." Jun stopped, wondering if he was talking too much. He was unsure of himself. "Sure, let's go," he said in response, and started to move towards the piñata. It didn't seem too busy at the moment, so perhaps they could get some hits in. Jun had never really hit anything with a bat before, let alone a piñata. "Have you ever, uh, hit a piñata before?" Jun asked Priyanka.

"That sounds very interesting. You have to tell me more about them," Priyanka said, eager to learn about these shape-shifting foxes. She smiled at Jun. There weren't many people at the chosen spot, so they could take the opportunity to try to break the piñata. Priynka heard Jun ask about piñatas. ''No, I haven't had the opportunity to hit a piñata, but I have read about them. It's a Mexican tradition.'' Priya said to Jun.
