Alyss gazed around slightly nervously as she walked down the stairs and waited near the staircase for her date that she had bought at the auction. She couldn't believe that she had bought a boy at the auction, what was she thinking? She probably looked so desperate, and most people knew that Alyss Summers never looked desperate, or was supposed to at least as she was known to be able to defend herself. Why did she do it? Oh, that's right, just because she wanted a date, she didn't want to look like a loner, and ever since then she regretted that decision of buying Kaleb Styx. Especially when she had found out that he had an older girlfriend in Slytherin that probably hated Alyss. Figures. She had to make an enemy in the house that she belonged.
She took a deep breath to calm her nerves, and to keep her emotions in check, she wasn't going to let them out tonight, not when they could hurt someone, not now, not ever. A small smirk was on her face when she noticed some older girls going by with younger boys, she was glad that she had ended up lucky and ending up with a boy from Slytherin at least, she just hoped that she could survive the night, and hopefully the rest of the year.
