Andrea was alone in her bedroom. She wasn't really used to this kind of situation since she was always accompanied by her younger brothers and sisters. She had just finished reading a book. The title of it was "Airhead" written by a Muggle author named Meg Cabot. She had borrowed this book from Frances, her roommate, of course. Since she can't afford to purchase such an expensive book. Andrea sighed heavily before putting the book back into Frances's bookshelf. It was Andrea's third day in Hogwarts and she was already starting to get bored as the day pass by. She has no friends except for Frances which really isn't her friend since they don't get along that much because of Frances's "inability" to make friends with which she calls "dirty blood". Andrea however, just gives her a dirty look and just plainly ignores her. Later on, Andrea decides to trail off and explore the castle. Back home, her friend Betty often tells this theory about the castle being very ancient. Betty's older sister, Veronica, used to go to Hogwarts before she died in an accident. Wanting to know if this theory was true, Andrea snatched her handbag and opened the door and then she was off.

While Andrea was walking, she noticed certain things about the castle that made her very impressed. She noticed the tall trees, the chirping birds which resemble the beautiful view from outside the castle, the really long stairs, which move on their own, the moldy walls and the talking portraits. "So the theory was true." Andrea said to herself, smiling a little. After she said that, she heard a small squeaky voice said "What theory?” Andrea frown in consciousness, little did she know that it was a portrait who had said that remark. She looked around but she haven't saw anyone, so she just rolled her blue-green eyes and ran her fingers through her brown hair. Few minutes later, Andrea got tired of walking so she stopped by the Student Lounge to take a rest before she head to the library to read books about Hogwarts. She entered the Student Lounge looking a bit tired. She looked around until she saw an empty chair. She walked her way toward the chair and occupied it. Then, she opened her handbag and took a bottle of water and drank all of the water inside it.

Angie sat on the sofa in the student lounge by the fire. It was so warm and cozy, just like in the Hufflepuff common room. But the Hufflepuff common room was too crowded at this time and Angie wasn't feeling very well. It was either because she was homesick or because she just got teased about being Muggle born. Before she had decided to go to the student lounge she was in the girls bathroom crying to her hearts content. She almost went up to the North Tower but decided against it. Angie sighed.
Was there something wrong with her? Is having two Muggle parents frowned upon? Angie couldn't figure it out. This was one of the rare times where she was confused about something. This is the first time Angie was ashamed of having the parents she had. A tear slid down Angie's cheek and she wiped it away, being called a "mudblood" wasn't on her list.

There wasn't a crowd of students in the lounge but there were enough to notice every time someone came in and left. A girl in Gryffindor had just walked in. She looked tired. The girl quickly found a chair and sat down then she gulped down a bottle of water. The chair the girl had sat in was against the wall behind the sofa. "Did she just finish runnning a lap or something?" Angie thought in her head. The Gryffindor's handbag looked pretty stuffed. "She must work a lot." Angie muttered to herself. Instead of just staring at her Angie asked her a question. "Do you know if there's a spell that makes dew appear on grass? Angie turned around on the sofa so that she was facing the Gryffindor.

Gulping the fresh water from the bottle made Andrea feel completely better. "That should do it" She told herself, grinning a little. After drinking, she closed the bottle cap and put it back into her handbag. She looked around the room, hoping to find something useful to do. But instead of finding a real activity for herself to enjoy, she found herself observing the things happening around her. She noticed the different person occupying this room. She saw a group of Slytherin students laughing and gossiping, she saw two Ravenclaw students reading a book, she even saw a professor went by since it was obvious to see if someone comes in or comes out or just simply pass by. Even though the room was crowded, it was still perfectly breathable. There wasn't a single foul odor in the room, unlike the Student Lounge of Andrea's cousin's school's. The room was filled with foul odor. Maybe because the school was just a Public School, or if the students just couldn't care less? While thinking about this, Andrea made a face, and then rolled her eyes.

After doing that certain action she just did, Andrea reached for her pocket and took her blue pen. She opened it's cap and started writing in her right palm. The pen hadn't caused much information since her palms were sweaty. So she decided to reach for her handbag and took her new notebook and opened it. Before she could write something, an unfamiliar voice had spoken something. Something about a spell. Andrea looked around, but she saw nobody speaking and then she saw a girl staring at her. She seemed to be expecting an answer. Curious, Andrea asked "Uh, are you talking to me?", pointing her index finger towards her chest.

The girl apparently didn't hear her. She had pulled out a pen and was getting ready to write in her palm. She'd asked if Angie was talking to her and pointed at herself with a confused look on her face. Angie rolled her eyes and said, "Yes I am talking to you. Do you know a spell that makes dew appear on grass?" she repeated her question. She waited patiently for an answer.

The girl sat there looking extremely bothered (as what Andrea might think). While, fool Andrea just stares at her looking completely oblivious. She doesn't have a single clue to what the girl just asked her. That is if she's the person the girl was talking to. The girl had repeated her question, and then rolled her eyes. So she was talking to Andrea, how careless of Andrea to not notice, as the girl was looking at her and not at anyone else. The girl was asking something about a spell that can make dew appear on grass. But unfortunately, Andrea doesn't know any spell that would make a dew appear on grass so she politely said, "Sorry to disappoint you but, I don't know any spell that would make a dew appear on a grass", shrugging.

Angie sighed. "Once classes start I'll find out myself." she thought in her head. "I'm Angie. What's your name?" Angie was really curious about this girl. Her robes clearly stated she was in Gryffindor. "Gryffindor."Angie muttered to herself. She thought Gryffindor was the House brave people went to, Slytherin was where the mean people went (from her recent experiences with them), and Ravenclaw was where the smart people go. Then Hufflepuff was where all the rest went. Angie sighed at this thought, poking her bottom lip out she started to pout.

The girl had said nothing. She just sighed. She was clearly disappointed. But it's not like Andrea had a choice. She just couldn't deliver a wrong information. She really doesn't know what the heck would make a dew appear on a grass. Andrea blinked her eyes lamely. The girl just has to live with disappointment if she wants to get the information from Andrea. "If you really want to know, just ask those girls over there" She said, pointing her right index finger towards the two Ravenclaw students reading a book. "But if they still don't know, just to the best way, and go to the Library". She went on. She's not being rude, she's just saying a remark that is straight to the point. Andrea is no Ravenclaw. She's not smart. If the girl was really curios to know the spell that would make a whatsoever appear on a grass, the best way to gather that information is to ask the Ravenclaws or go to the Library. "I'm Andrea, Andrea Kelize" Andrea, flashed one of her friendly smiles, and reaching out her right hand for the girl to shake. Even if she's bossy, she can make good friends too. "Yes. I am from Gryffindor. Still a freshman in case you didn't know. I see that you're a Hufflepuff" She said, adding a little friendly grin, so the girl was in Hufflepuff. Based on her robes, she is. "Are you a freshman too?" She wanted to know.

Angie shook Andrea's hand. Removing the pout from her face she confirmed that she was a first year and in Hufflepuff. Andrea had suggested that she ask the the two girls in Ravenclaw sitting a bit away from them. Angie could tell she wasn't making a good first impression. "First impressions are the key to making friends, right?" Angie encouraged herself in her head. She eyed Andrea and then gave her a smile. "Sorry, if I seem rude. I don't mean to be that way. I'm just still trying to adjust being here, you know? Angie apologized. She ran a hand through her hair. She decided change the subject. "What kind of family are you from? Both of my parents are Muggles. They were against me coming here at first but, they came around." Angie hoped Andrea didn't take this the wrong way. She really needed to make some friends. Badly. The spell didn't matter to her, she just needed at least one friend so she wouldn't feel so lonely.

The Hufflepuff was trying to be friendly as what Andrea observed. She shook Andrea's hand, removing the pout from her pale features. Andrea raised an eyebrow, and then flashed Angie her signature smile. She was a bit sure that they're going to be good friends. But somehow, she wasn't really convinced. Even though, the girl is a Hufflepuff and seems nice, nobody really knows what’s going to happen. Back home, the Gryffindor girl has a few friends. Eight to be specific. And they're all Andrea's neighbors. Well, except for James, since he moved out of the neighborhood due to his parents' work. But judging this case, the little Gryffindor girl just has to pay attention and let the cards play their own way. A moment later, Angie apologized. She apologized for seeming to be rude. Andrea shrugged before delivering her answer. She smiled and then went on her remark, "You’re not rude, you're just-" She paused, and bit her lip"-gathering information.” Andrea really just has to cut out the Slytherin attitude already. She's making the girl uncomfortable. "I am sorry for being rude too, I don't really mean to be. And, I understand, I'm still also adjusting" Andrea apologized, somehow, adding a little frown. The little Gryffindor adjusted her collar. It seemed to be out of place. "We're just the same. I'm also a Muggle Born, but my parents weren't against me of coming here. They were even happy and proud. Even more proud when they found out that I've been sorted to the Gryffindor" Andrea said, proudly. No, she's not bragging, she's just happy. The Hufflepuff hadn't answered Andrea's question, so she repeated it again. "Are you a freshman, also?”

Angie smiled. A sigh almost escaped from her lips but she caught herself. She saw Andrea was trying her best to be nice like Angie was. When Andrea said her parents were happpy she was coming here. Hearing this made Angie's heart beat a depressing toon. If only her parents were more supportive of her coming to Hogwarts she would feel so bad. Angie snapped out of her daydream when Andrea repeated a question that she had asked earlier. "Yes, I am a freshman like you." Angie didn't like when people had to repeat their question more than once because she herself hated doing it. But Andrea having to repeat her question was partially Angie's fault.

"Sighing, eh?" The Gryffindor thought, nodding in agreement to herself. So, basically, as what Andrea had observed for the past minute, the Hufflepuff, clearly loves sighing. Andrea was nodding a lot. Meanwhile, the Hufflepuff was only smiling. Another sigh almost escaped from her mouth but fortunately, she stopped before she could produce another sigh of hers. While observing this situation happen, Andrea smirked. She thinks it’s rude to laugh at someone's flaws, so she went for the smirking act instead. She seemed to forget everything about her previous remark. Things like this don't happen every day; maybe Andrea was just having a good mood or something like that. Observing how Angie's silence filled the space the two of them were occupying, Andrea remembered her apology and stopped smirking. She caught Angie's eyes and wink at her. The girl was obviously being nice to her, the least thing that Andrea would do is to basically, call her a b!tch and a freak. So, Andrea stopped everything rude that she was doing and started thinking deeply on how to make a more interesting conversation. Seconds later, Angie finally replied to Andrea's question - the one she repeated. But Andrea's reply to Angie's remark is a simple friendly smile. "So, she's also a freshman. Good to know" Andrea thought. "So, where do you live?" She mumbled, trying to make a conversation.

"I lived in Queenstown until now. Now kind of I live here, you know?" Angie smiled. She hoped this remark got on Andrea's nerves just a tiny bit. Payback for all Andrea's smirking. "What about you?" she wondered if Andrea would do the same thing Angie did. If so, then she thought they'd be the best of friends. Angie eagerly waited for Andrea's response. Angie wasn't good at predicting what a persons next move was and it was frustrating. It made Angie an easy target because she was so predictable. She sighed after almost every sentence and she was anti social. "Just my luck." she thought.

"Queenstown, huh? Pretty cool, I guess" Angie said, in reply of Angie saying that she lived in Queenstown. Andrea had said her reply casually. Angie might think that this remark would somehow get into Andrea's nerves but, she just has to think better than that. Sucks for her, actually. "Oh, I live in Sydney. That's in Australia in case you didn't know" She said, regarding Angie's "rare" question. Andrea really hoped that Angie won't ask her if she's poor or rich because that would just be plain stalker-ish and it would be a tricky question for her. So, to change the whole where-do-you-live subject, so she asked Angie a question she thinks would be "interesting". "So, got any siblings" She asked.

It was a failure. A complete failure. "That's alright though. I think of something later." Angie thought to herself. Andrea had asked if she had any siblings. "I wish. My mom is too scared to try and have anymore kids. She's already had 2 miscarriages since she had me." Angie gave a much needed sigh. "I would've had two little brothers."Angie whispered to herself. Her mother had cried so many nights after her first miscarriage and after then second one it almost killed her, emotionally. Angie's mother had just decided to give up. Angie completely understood why her mother would, too much heartache. "Do you have any siblings." Angie asked Andrea wiping the depressed look off her face.

The "proud" look on Angie's face seem to fade. Is this because she had failed on making Andrea feel competed, or maybe because she thinks Andrea's hometown is "cooler" than her? But whatever it was she was so depressed about, Andrea doesn't care. They're not fully friends yet, so it's not like she fully cares whenever Angie "feels bad" or anything. "You're an only child! That's awesome" Andrea said. Well, not really "said" said, she practically almost shouted it. Now, Andrea feels jealous. But just a little, because she still loves her siblings more than any material thing. Now it was Angie's turn to ask Andrea if she has any siblings. Well, if she'd just observed, she would know she has, judging her reaction when Angie said she has none. "Yes, five to be exact. I'm the first born. I have two sisters and three brothers". Yes, she feels a little ashamed. But that isn't even worth it. All that matters is that they live well and they love each other. After saying that, Andrea just closed blinked and then shrugged.

"That's nice." Angie smiled. Maybe if she had some brothers or sisters she wouldn't be as anti- social as she already is. "What do you do in your spare time? I like to read books and write poetry." Writing was half of Angie's life. She thought so many different things throughout the day, it was crazy. Angie saw Andrea had shrugged. What is she shrugging at? "Did I just say that out loud? Ugh! I'm such an idiot!" Angie scolded herself silently.

Andrea Kelize raised an eyebrow. What? She has got to be kidding. The Gryffindor thought. She doesn't really want to say that out loud in front of the girl because that would just be plainly rude. Actually, Andrea thinks that the girl thinks having siblings is cool, which in this case she objects, yeah they're adorable alright but they can be really annoying sometimes. So, to avoid further "misunderstandings" Andrea just replied an unsatisfied "Yeah, I guess". Later on, Angie asked Andrea about what she does during her spare time. She also added that she likes to read books and write poetry. Andrea thought for a moment before replying to Angie's question. At home, whenever she has spare time, she just plays basketball with other children or just helps her mother on whatever she's doing. Meanwhile, she just explores the corridor and goes to the Student Lounge whenever she gets bored at school. There wasn't really a specific answer but Andrea made a go with "I play Chess or Basketball".

"Basketball? I've never played it but it's really cool to watch." Angie said. Angie wasn't a sports person. She could barely handle gym class. Angie wasn't a fan of chess either. All that stuff that had to do with strategy wasn't her. Math was already too complicated for her. "How did your parents react when you got your Hogwarts letter?" Angie asked Andrea. "My parents freaked out. It took them a few days to let it sink in that I was a witch. After that they were cool with it." she told Andrea in hopes that she would be interested. "Being a witch is okay. I still think I am going to pursue a Muggle career after my years at Hogwarts." Angie added.

"Yeah. It's even more cooler if you're the one playing it" The Gryffindor pointed out. Basketball is really her thing. She loves sports. Sports is the most special thing in Andi's life besides being a witch and being a cub. Chess is her second favorite sport, while swimming comes third and badminton comes fourth. She always plays basketball on her free time back at her hometown. She plays this with a group of street boys and some girls. Later on, the Hufflepuff asked the Gryffindor if what was her parents' reaction when she got her first letter of acceptance into Hogwarts, Andrea was happy about this question. "They were very happy and proud. They said that they can't believed their child had been accepted into a school of witchcraft and wizardry. They got even more prouder when they found out that I was sorted into Gryffindor" Andrea proudly said. Her parents were indeed very proud of her. They were very supportive of Andrea being a witch. "Oh" was Andrea's only reply to Angie's remark about her parents' reaction to her letter of acceptance. Then why bother going to Hogwarts?, Andrea thought to herself. She was clearly confused that Angie would take a Muggle career after she graduated. She had been going to a witchcraft and wizardry school so why would she take a Muggle career. But whatever it was her reasoning, she has to be sure of it or else she'd regret why she'd come to Hogwarts the first place. Andrea hadn't said out loud what she had said, though. She didn't want to offend Angie, because maybe, just maybe, they could be friends.

Angie could tell Andrea was thinking it she was weird. Magic didn't spark her interest like it did in other witches and wizards. "I am sure the Ministry of Magic is in need of witches and wizards in the Muggle world." Angie thought. "How are you doing in your classes? What's you favorite one?"Angie asked. She herself wasn't doing very well. "I am so behind on my projects." Angie thought.

Angie seems to be uninterested in sports. Andrea doesn't even wanna bother bringing up the topic. The Hufflepuff speaks fewer words. It seems like Andrea's the one who's been saying the "many" words even if she's not really that much of a blabber. "I don't think they do. Pureblood, Muggle, Half-Blood or Mixed Blood doesn't matter, all that matters is that the employee is a great witch or wizard and knows what he or she is doing and doing it for the good side " was Andrea's reply to Angie's sentence. It doesn't matter in the blood type, it matter about the skill, which just made Andrea roll her eyes in the air. "Let me put it this way; I'm not doing bad and I'm not doing good either" She said in response of the Hufflepuff asking her if how she was doing in her classes. "My favorite subject so far is Transfiguration. Yours?" She asked.

"I guess it could be like, well, Flying classes. Even though it is scary i think it's a pretty cool subject." On Angie's first day the thought of having to fly on a broom scared her to death. She was so scared she was going to fall off the broom and kill herself. Actually, at the time she was positive she would. It didn't end up being that way. She actually kind of liked being in the air. She felt free from all her insecurities and fears in that class. "What do you think about Flying classes?" Angie asked happily.

OOCOut of Character:
Sorry! I accidently posted with JazzyMae instead of Angie.

The Hufflepuff was bringing up Flying. Well, honestly, Andrea doesn't excel much in flying due to its ridiculousness but Flying is part of being a witch so Andrea doesn't really mind it much now. "I agree. It’s not really that scary, it's just....Well,..It’s ridiculous" she finally spoke out. Angie seemed to enjoy Flying as Andrea might point out. Her face was lighting up the whole time she was talking about it. Andrea's first flying lesson however was just as normal as any other student's flying lesson have been. She picked up her broom and started flying. She wasn't really that amazed by it, although being in the air was splendid. "It's nice, I guess. Being in the air is awesome." She said, in response to Angie asking what she thinks about Flying classes.

Now that Angie thought about it she may not want to pursue a Muggle career. She could probably be on a Quidditch team when she got older. Angie smiled to herself. "We should play basketball together sometimes. Since you are good at it." Angie suggested randomly. If she really hoped to be Andrea's friend then she should at least spend more time with her so she could get to know her.

The Gryffindor's face lightened up when the Hufflepuff said that they should play basketball sometimes. "That would be fun!" Andrea said happily, adding a huge grin on her features. If Angie doesn't know how to play, she could teach her, but if she knows how, Andrea could probably teach her some of her tricks. "I could teach you some of my basketball tricks if you want" She added. Now, this topic was a hundred percent more exciting than flying. Andrea was very glad Angie brought it up. "So, what's your favorite NBA team?" She asked.
