A mistake at the beach

Ivy walked with her brother down to the water, it was nice the waves rolling in and out, the sun was shinning and they were here together. She smiled and looked up at Sage. It was just like when they came here with their parents as kids. Well almost just like it.

Sage loved being at the beach. As soon as he could, he stripped off his sweater and pants, revealing his bathing shorts. He set them by where they used to sit when their mom and dad were around. Mom and dad. He missed them, and no one knew it. He smiled at his sister. "come on!" He wined, pulling her toward the water.

Ivy had peeled off her tank and shorts and went with Sage toward the water. She felt the salt water and smiled it felt so good. It might hurt if it got to wavy but it was perfect for the time being. She took in the sun and the water. It made her feel like a kid again. She zoned out for a minute remembering her and Sage in the water and their mom coming in and showing us how to milk a sea cow. Then their father would splash them and they would all laugh. But that was before.

The water was the perfect temperature, the waves were weak; and most of all, his sister was having fun. He always loved making Ivy happy, they were family; it was his job. Though sometimes, he felt weak; his sister always had to protect him. It was his childish nature and carefree that got him into a lot of trouble; though he didn't know any better. Maybe he did; but, he wouldn't admit it. "Hey sis?" He asked.

Ivy was brought back to reality by her brothers voice. "Yea bro?" She said. He looked so golden in the sunlight with the water spraying up on him. She grinned. She was having a nice time, the first in a long while. Truthfully she was having issues. Like she lied about going some where to her brother and went to therpy. She was really having emotional problems with telling her brother, and it hurt her, a lot.

He made a big splash using his arms. The smile on his face was whiter do to the shining sunlight, and his slightly tan complexion. If he had been interested in girls, he probably could have picked a few of them up; but they weren't his type. No one was. He just could force himself to be interested in it. He looked around, smiling still. "Gotcha!"

Sage had soaked Ivy. "Ahhh." Ivy yelped. "Sagggge!!" She splashed him back. She pulled her wand out from behind her ear and used the color-change charm to change him red. She laughed and stuck out her tounge. She wanted to play, and who better than her brother who was still and always would be a kid at heart.

He grinned but then yelped himself. "Hey!" He did one better, turning her yellow, and himself back to normal. He smiled at her brightly. "Ivy, that color is perfect. Matches your hair."

Ivy looked at him and gave him a stare. She turned her self back and turned him a nice puke green. "Green suits you Sage really dose know you can live up to the name." She laughed. He would never win not at her own game.
