A Midnight Summer's Dream...

When Alyssa mouthed back that he didn't think his dad knew she gave him a look that told him to relax, she knew how to handle this if things got bad because she refused to let Alphonse hurt Vincent or his dad. As her father went off she felt a lot of pity for Amauri and Vincent as she heard about his Mom and how she died, she was probably very pretty and very sweet. "Thats so sad. I'm so sorry!" A soft frown marred Alyssa's beautiful face, sadness didn't suit her but she wanted Vincent and his father to know that she was sorry and not like her father when it came to being compassionate, and feeling sorrow for others. Alyssa didn't care if she was an Auror or not, she preferred those people to the Death Eaters anyways and if she could she could run to hide behind Vincent and his father. With one soft look and when her chin was roughly released she took a couple of steps back until she turned and stood next to Vincent and his father, she felt safer next to them anyways. "I don't think Vincent is capable of that Sir, he's really sweet...he apparently wasn't raised like you tried to raise me." Alyssa muttered under her breath, her father wanted her to become a Death Eater but she refused because she hated them so much and was more terrified of them they she ever wanted to let on. They fed off the misery and fears of others, she swore to god it's what they did.

Suddenly Alyssa let out a loud sneeze follow by a few sniffles. "Oh excuse me." She blushed and sniffled again, to her dismay she thought she was getting sick again and even worse she was getting sick in front of Vincent and his father. Even her head was beginning to feel a little stuffy, but she pushed that all back as she waited for her father to act on something, maybe he would let her stay with Vincent a bit longer.

“Good luck on hiding it then,” retorted the Auror in a sarcastic tone that he barely used. Amauri did not joke around or anything, and he was quite uneasy with the atmosphere being tense and all. He was an Auror, and he was trained to handle these situations, yet here he was, feeling uncomfortable and even making sure that his wand was still in his jacket. Amauri was unsure about this meeting and about Alyssa and Vincent being allowed to see each other after this. But Amauri did not have solid proof that Alphonse was a threat. But if one thing comes up, Amauri would not hesitate to do his Auror duties. In Amauri’s mind, justice overpowers a past friendship by a long shot.

Amauri thought for a moment. Margaux was a Veela, and they were friends, but he couldn’t recall it ever being a true love like he and Cyrille shared. “I do remember. You were acting more like a fool than Vincent is.” Amauri paused to let the question sink into his mind. “A fact is a fact. I doubt that you don’t realize just how much you have changed. If I could have known better, you act just like those cowards that tear families apart on a monthly basis; including my own. It is a personal pleasure bringing said cowards to justice.” Amauri’s voice was colder than ice, which meant that he was thoroughly pissed off. Continuing, “From the way you treat her daughter, you don’t sound like you are very much upset that Margaux is dead. I will grieve for her later, however, and pay my own respects.” Amauri could not believe how cold and inconsiderate Alphonse had become. “I am completely disgusted with who you are, and I don’t want you around my son or myself anymore. I’ve had it with people without hearts. You don’t deserve to have a daughter like Alyssa from what I heard from Vincent.”

Vincent could only look away when Alyssa frowned. When Amauri ‘snapped’, Vincent bit his lip a bit and he groaned. “Dad is pissed.” Vincent could tell faster than a lot of other people could. How? Vincent was raised by the man. Vincent shook his head and he said to Alphonse, “I will never break her heart. I truly love her and adore her. If she uses me, fine, let her. I don’t care! I am honored to have someone like her use me.” Vincent just hoped his mouth didn’t land him in a ton of trouble. Vincent wondered if Alyssa was getting a cold. “Um, dad, Alyssa is um, getting a cold.” Vincent just hoped that they could take her home, and not let Alphonse have her back.

Alphonse was started to wonder when Amauri had gained such a backbone, never before had someone really talked to him in such a manner without fear. But something inside told him that he wouldn't be able to handle this much longer without revealing what he truly was to his friend who happened to be an Auror who wouldn't waste a chance to possibly lock up a Death Eater due to his seemingly strong hatred. "I am proud to call many of those cowards my comrade's. As for your family being torn apart thats not really my problem. Aurors die Amauri, Cyrille sealed her fate and got what she had coming." Alphonse hissed, his blue eyes turning cold and harsh all at the same time, in his opinion all Aurors were to be killed because they were simply in his way. Alphonse would not kill this man though, there was still a bond there that was holding him back and preventing him from doing a task he know he needed to do. "I am glad Margaux is dead, perhaps Alyssa can tell you why. And whether I do or not, she's my daughter and I will do with her what I please. Disgusted with cold hearts, you obviously know so little my old friend." Alphonse would comply and do as Amauri asked and leave them be for he was not up to battling with anyone right now, in fact he had a party that he should probably still be at. If things hadn't gone so bad perhaps he might have invited the two men before him but as fate would have it things had changed too much between them.

As Alyssa stood next to Vincent and Amauri he figured it would be a lot harder to drag her home by that pretty little head of hers, so Alphonse would just leave the little rat here to find her own way back to France. Slowly Stepping closer so he was close to Vincent and Alyssa he cast the two of them a sinister and dark smile that obviously was anything but friendly. "Then you deal with her, because I'm finished with her." Alphonse hissed, glaring at the boy with his ice cold eyes boring into the boy's. He found it hard to believe that one boy would be so into something that was barely considered human to him. Turning his eyes onto Alyssa he spoke once more; "I'll deal with you when you get home. And remember...step out of line and you'll never see the light of day again." He said to her once more before he stepped back and gave Amauri one last cocky smirk before before he apparated off to the Snow Manor, hopefully the party was doing alright without him.

The moment Alphonse apparated away and left the three of them alone, Alyssa finally decided that she had enough with trying to keep it all inside and burst out crying. Not only was she highly upset that her father had ruined her perfect night with Vincent, but he also was rude to these poor people and was probably going to brutally kill her once she got home for causing such a huge scene for him like this. "I am so S-sorry." She tried to apologize clearly, but her sobbing and sniffling was make it awful hard for her to be understood eight at the moment, plus her make-up was probably going going to smudge if she kept crying like that. Bringing her hands to her face she tried to wipe away the tears that kept pouring out of her Crystal blue eyes. "He should not have spoken to you like that, but I fear when I get home I'm am going to be beaten this time." Alyssa hiccuped as she spoke trying once again to stop herself from crying, it wasn't right to cry in front of her boyfriend and his father like that because she wasn't making a very good impression on herself by doing something like this.

Sneezing again Alyssa frowned. "Awwh gross." She was definitely getting a cold, and on op of it she was still crying which was making the whole scene even worse than it already was. Alyssa would completely sure that Vincent would probably dump her after this because she was being such a big baby.

Amauri shook his head and he thought harshly, If it is the last thing I do, I will see to it to reveal him to be the damn Death Eater that he acts to be. Amauri glanced down and he shook his head, "No, I don't want you to be returning back to Alphonse, unless there is someone there with him that can keep you out of danger." Didn't someone really not stop them from being beaten or something? Amauri saw that Alyssa was getting sick and he put the back of his hand to Vincent's head. "Okay, Vincent, you are running a fever, and Alyssa, you are catching a cold. Both of you need to come home and get some rest, right now." Amauri wouldn't take no for an answer, and he softly touched both of their shoulders, before apparating them to his small yet cozy home.
