Janey had a plan for today. She would take a trip round the school, popping off a various locations, such as the library and the quidditch pitch. She'd heard many people talking about quidditch, including her brothers, but she wanted to see what the fuss was all about herself.
She had recieved mail from the family owl that morning, as as she sat in the antiquated lavatory, she found it peaceful, even if it was a little bit of a strange place to be. She sat with her back against the wall, and a letter open in her lap. She read it quietly to herself. Even though she'd managed to make a number of friends already, it didn't stop her missing home. She smiled to herself as she read additional notes from her father and older brothers. They would be going back to their schools soon too, and Janey realized just how long it would be until she saw her family again.
As she came to the end of her letter, she stood up and unlocked the door of the cubicle she'd been hiding in. Outside it appeared to be empty, and folding up the letter she placed it neatly into her robe pocket, before walking over to the basin and washing her hands and face, and looking up to stare at her reflection for a moment. She would be fine this year. Janey had been waiting a very long time to join this school, and now she was here, she was going to make sure she did herself and her family proud.
