Kat walked out to the school lawn, just needing to get out and clear her mind. She had been slightly down in the dumps ever since Makato had left school. She hadn't heard from him yet and was wondering where he was or if her was okay. Tears began to stream down her cheeks, but she quickly wiped them away and calmed herself down. She had remembered that he said that they might be able to see each other over break. She found a nice shady place and sat down on the ground. She couldn't let this consume her, even though she had been very upset about the whole situation. The gentle breeze blew across her face and she closed her eyes.

Courtney recently had been attempting to get the most out of the beautiful summer weather, as winter was bound to sneak up on all of Hogwarts soon enough. She hummed a classical muggle tune to herself while walking Nanook along the lawn.

"What the - " Courtney called as Nanook began to pull Courtney forward. He is definitely getting strong! It turned out Nanook had found Katalina sitting in the shade and was attempting to run towards her.

"Hey there," Courtney called when she was not too far away from Katalina.

Kat stirred from the trance like state she seemed to have been in while thinking when Courtney called out to her. Kat looked over, smiled and said, "Hullo back at ya! How goes it for you on this beautiful day?" She noticed that Courtney was walking (or rather it was walking her) a dog. "Cute dog, what's his name?"

Courtney finally made it into the shade and plopped herself down on the grass. She gestured towards Nanook, who was also lounging in the shade, "His name is Nanook. I think he likes you, he yanked me all the way over here!"

Courtney looked over to Katalina, and gave her a smile. "It goes well enough for me, I have no complaints. How are you doing?"

Kat laughed as she scratched the dog behind his ears. "Well hello Nanook! You are a cute one, yes you are! Who's the pretty doggie? You are, yes you are!" Realizing that she sounded completely stupid and silly she cleared her throat and looked at Courtney and replied, "I've been better, but things aren't too bad. I'm ready for summer holidays though. Any big plans for you?"

Kiera was walking around on the lawn when she noticed two of her friends sitting down. Courtney had an adorable dog with her. Kiera headed towards the two of them. "Hey Yall!!" she said excitedly because she had not seen either one of them recently. "Whats up?" she asked.

Kat turned around and saw Kiera heading towards them. "Hiya! Nothin' much my way. What's up with you?" she replied trying to be in a slightly perkier mood.

Courtney gave Katalina a smile, and hoped the nice weather would brighten her friend's mood. "I really don't know what I'm going-" Courtney stopped discussing the summer holidays when she realized that Kiera had joined them. "Hey Kiera! I haven't seen you in a while! Makes me miss the Valkyries."

Kiera grinned. "I know! I miss you both! I hardly ever see you." she said with a pout as she sat down. She laughed. "Ive been so bored today since classes and exams are over" she said thinking how strange that sounded.

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Courtney responded as she laid back on the grass and stared up at the tree that was providing them with shade. "But I sort of welcome the boredom, y'know? I mean, this year has just been so busy, with electives, clubs, and quidditch. Having nothing to do is a nice break."

Courtney propped herself up on her elbows, and glanced at both of the other girls. "We should totally celebrate!"

"Celebrate, huh? How about a little end of the year get together at the Leaky Cauldron? You guys game? I can send some owls to a few of our close friends to join us!" Kat said excitedly. She was glad to have the distraction and not having to think about Makato leaving. "So what do you guys think?" she asked in anticipation.

"I think that sounds awesome! I can call Arabella to help send some letters if you wish!" Courtney was glad Katalina had suggested going out for a bite to eat, as her stomach had been quite rumbly over the past few minutes.

"Sounds super awesome to me! I'll use Lavender too! Two owls are twice as nice!" Kat said with a giggle. She was starving and a small get-together with friends was just what she needed right now.

"Okay," Courtney said as she sat up from her leaning position. "So who do you reckon we invite?" She looked over to Kiera, "You alright with this plan? I mean, it isn't a party, but it still works out well."

Kat had already pulled out her parchment and quill. She quickly began jotting down invites to send to people. As soon as she was done she put her things away and gave half the letters to Courtney's owl and half to hers, telling them who they were for. She then stood up and dusted herself off. "You guys ready to go?" she asked with a grin.

"I'm certainly ready!" Courtney stated excitedly and jumped up from the grass. "I'm going to go bring Nanook to the Ravenclaw common room and then meet you guys in front of the Leaky Cauldron."

Courtney waved to the other girls while she walked away, "See you!"
