Speed sighed quietly in his office. He didn't really have anything to do. He had all his lessons set up already, not that the students really did much. They were mostly practical lessons, the students didn't really have sheets to fill out or exams to do. Remaining indoors was never really an option for Speed. Even if he had a little pet staying with him. It was just a little niffler that didn't appear to want to leave his office. It was quite odd, considering he didn't really have many shiny things for the creature to find. Occasionally he would play a game with it and hide a few goblin coins around the room. The niffler would have them all collected within minutes, but it was fun to watch. He sighed once again and stood up. He couldn't just lurk around in his office all day. People didn't come to visit him, so he was basically exiling himself. Speed wasn't one to look for social interaction on a regular basis, but he was really bored and just needed to do something. A run was in order if he wanted to be able to settle and so he shifted in a European Brown Hare.

It was rather late in the evening. The moon was beginning to rise and the sun was starting to set. The lake was amazing at this time and usually students were inside getting ready for sleep, doing homework or eating. His paw brushed over his ear and he raced to the lake front. There were one of two people speckled through the lawn, but they were all heading towards the castle. He raced around their legs and continued. He loved the feeling of the wind pushing against him. Speed came to an abrupt stop when he saw the water closing in. He was close enough. Speed smiled and rolled his shoulders when he returned to his natural form. Being an animagus was possibly the greatest decision he had ever made, even if it was not a popular one with his sister. The lake was nice like this. Almost perfect. He was about to turn back around and race back, but someone was behind him. "Oh, hello there. Out for a stroll?"

Lucy pulled her cardigan a little tighter around her chest. Teaching hadn't suited Landon, as much as he loved kids, so he'd left Hogwarts to focus on running their bookshop. Lucy, meanwhile, decided to stick at it for a little while longer. Only teaching the one subject, and only for a couple of small class groups, Lucy didn't spend as much time at Hogwarts as a lot of the other teachers, but she still spent plenty of time there. And so, she found herself wandering the grounds in the evening, finding an appreciation for the grounds she'd never had during her time as a student at Hogwarts.

She'd never been the outgoing type - she'd been painfully haughty and shy as a child, finding it hard to make friends. Hogwarts had softened her a little, but she wasn't exactly a social butterfly. She was kinder and much politer than she had been when she started at Hogwarts, but there was a reason she had not been a Gryffindor, nor a Ravenclaw.

Having been lost in her thoughts (which were primarily considering what to do to make Muggle Studies more exciting for her students), she had barely noticed the person who seemingly came from nowhere (although she'd hardly been paying attention as it was, he could well have been there the whole time) and greeted her. "Ah, good evening," Lucy started, with a smile. "Thought I'd get some fresh air. Lovely evening, isn't it?" She adjusted her cardigan once more, and then swapped her book from her right hand to her left hand. "Professor...Stark, unless I'm much mistaken?"
