Speed sighed quietly in his office. He didn't really have anything to do. He had all his lessons set up already, not that the students really did much. They were mostly practical lessons, the students didn't really have sheets to fill out or exams to do. Remaining indoors was never really an option for Speed. Even if he had a little pet staying with him. It was just a little niffler that didn't appear to want to leave his office. It was quite odd, considering he didn't really have many shiny things for the creature to find. Occasionally he would play a game with it and hide a few goblin coins around the room. The niffler would have them all collected within minutes, but it was fun to watch. He sighed once again and stood up. He couldn't just lurk around in his office all day. People didn't come to visit him, so he was basically exiling himself. Speed wasn't one to look for social interaction on a regular basis, but he was really bored and just needed to do something. A run was in order if he wanted to be able to settle and so he shifted in a European Brown Hare.
It was rather late in the evening. The moon was beginning to rise and the sun was starting to set. The lake was amazing at this time and usually students were inside getting ready for sleep, doing homework or eating. His paw brushed over his ear and he raced to the lake front. There were one of two people speckled through the lawn, but they were all heading towards the castle. He raced around their legs and continued. He loved the feeling of the wind pushing against him. Speed came to an abrupt stop when he saw the water closing in. He was close enough. Speed smiled and rolled his shoulders when he returned to his natural form. Being an animagus was possibly the greatest decision he had ever made, even if it was not a popular one with his sister. The lake was nice like this. Almost perfect. He was about to turn back around and race back, but someone was behind him. "Oh, hello there. Out for a stroll?"
