With a potion book on her hand Kerryn Howard went down to the kitchen to get herself a plate of pumpkin pudding. The young girl tilted her glasses as she opened the cabinet finding nothing in it. She groaned as she took a bowl and some ingredients, attempting to satisfy her craving. Flick and fling, the spoon started to steer as the puddings and milk started to pour, another flick then the pudding was cold and solid, ready to eat. Kerryn took a spoon and sliced the dessert, taking her first bite of it. The young girl had a small smile on her face as she continued reading her book while chewing. Kerryn has been skipping classes due to her being uncomfortable around people. Kerryn has never been good around other kids, it has always been Nicolette who people are fond of and who is good at talking to their relative. Unlike the rest of the family tho, Kerryn believes in kindness. Maybe the sorting hat wasn't wrong to sort her into Ravenclaw after all. Thank goodness the family members weren't displeased in the result as Ravenclaw has quite a reputation in the graduates. Remembering all these facts made Kerryn frown a little. She sliced another pudding of hers and draw it into her mouth until a cat accidentally dropped a metal bown making the young girl jumped a little. She pointed her wand at the cat hoping to scare it but the cat stood still and licked its paws. Kerryn sighed a little and continued finishing her food.

Tholomyes was hunger, he had missed dinner because of the fact he'd been sitting in the gardens doing a little drawing and it had gotten to the point where it was someone else who told him the time and the teen had raced from the gardens. He had shoved the drawing things into his bag and since he had missed dinner, but it was still pretty far from being curfew so he knew to go straight to the kitchen. He walked in to the room and noticed that there was a cat on the ground and Tholomyes jumped a little startled at the movement. Tholomyes glanced about the room, noting the cat and then also noticed the girl, he wondered if he should say something about it or if he shouldn't. They were the only two people in the room, but instead of speaking the boy just walked over to the cat and lightly stroked it's fur, crouching down to be more at it's level, "Is this cat yours?" he asked, looking up at the girl before walking away from the cat and getting on of the elves to bring him some food. He looked at the girl again and pointed to the seat across from her, "Do you mind?" Tholomyes was sure she'd turn him down, but it would be odd to be the only two people in the room sitting separately, but he didn't know her, and she didn't know him, so it was likely that she wouldn't want to sit with him. The teen smiled a little at her waiting for the response while glancing to see if the elves were done making him food.

The cat kept meowing and it irritated Kerryn so much that she wanted to throw a pan at it. She placed her hand on the handle and looked at the cat in the eye. Kerryn had never believed in kindness until she enrolled to hogwarts new zealand, the students and teachers coped with her prejudiced behavior that she thought was right, that she thought was the only thing to do when you're a wizard. But no, despite her awkward social skill they treated her kindly, even the students. Remembering this Kerryn took her hand off it and continued eating her pudding until another Ravenclaw came for food. He started caressing the cat and asked her if it was Kerryn's. "No" She replied shortly and closed her book, looking at her kitten. Kerryn is so much different than her entire family, being sorted to Ravenclaw definitely changed the way she think of other people though she is still a prejudiced. The boy then sat across her asking if Kerryn would mind. "I don't own these seat" She shrugged and pull her book closer to her. He was friendly and seemed to be kind which made Kerryn a little groggy. None of her family have such a pleasant attitude hence she's not used to it. "Do you... Think that it's unfair for mud... Muggleborns to enter the wizarding world?" Being socially awkward, the young girl threw such an odd question to a complete stranger. She almost said mudblood but she changed it right away hoping that he would understand that it's hard for her to omit that word off her dictionary, after all she has no idea whether he was one or not. "I'm Kerryn by the way... If it matters..." She looked down to her food feeling stupid.

Tholomyes took a seat as he watched the cat wonder around the kitchens, he felt like perhaps given that this was a kitchen that the cat should not be allowed to within it, but who was he to get involved with this girl and her kitten, who was he. The teen was unsure of who this person was, what they were like or what he was to expect from them, all he could recall about them was that they were in his house. That didn't mean a whole lot but it did mean something, they were a little similar perhaps or the hat thought them so. He looked at her with a curious expression at her odd question, being a muggleborn he didn't think it was unfair, but he didn't really know what magic meant and why it even might be unfair in a way that perhaps this girl was pitching it as. So, he glanced her up and down, shrugging a little hoping to not out himself to her about his status, "Why is it unfair?" he asked trying to figure out what she meant and hoping that this wouldn't be taken as being or disagreeing with her but rather just a cluelessness in someone who hadn't really thought about it before. But the girl introduced herself which made Tholomyes feel like he might've passed some test, though she added a few at the end which confused him, why wouldn't it matter? This girl was a little odd, but perhaps she had just been raised in such a manner, "I'm Theo," he didn't hold his hand out to her, unsure as to if this would be the right to thing to do and not wanting to face rejection from the girl, Kerryn. The teen had a feeling that she would reject him however, the moment she found out about his blood status.
