A little hocus pocus

While Lydia wasn’t much for costumes and Halloween, she’d found a fantastic dress for the occasion that she couldn’t pass up. The fabric beneath was a soft gray, the thread layer on top enchanted to look like real spiderwebs. It felt so real, in fact, that she shuddered every time one of the featherlight strands brushed her skin.

Lydia arrived to the festivities just as they were getting started. She reached for a glass of pumpkin juice, watching the students and simultaneously scanning the crowd for interesting company. Her eye fell on one of her colleagues and she raised her glass in greeting. Part of her still wasn’t sure what to say after the break, but she certainly didn’t regret anything.

Lena wasn't too into her costume this year, but seeing as Charlotte had become obsessed with the muggle version of fairies, she was going along with the schtick. As she made her way to supervise the feast, she noticed Lydia nearby, looking stunning. She had noticed how beautiful Lydia was, but it was just something she had noticed. There was no need to make a big deal about it. "Any kids hitting each other yet?" she joked, as she made her way over, some glitter falling from her hair.
