Between going to the library and going to the lounge, or really anywhere else, France much rather preferred to be in the lounge where it was completely silent. He had brought his textbooks along just in case he felt like studying, but it was probably a day to procrastinate. He entered the lounge and scanned the room to find a good spot to sit, and once he found one that wasn't yet occupied he went over to sit by the window sill. The lounge was surprisingly busy today, he figured more people would be in the library prepping for exams or finishing assignments, though that was probably what the older students were doing. It was probably what he should be doing as well. He shrugged and took out his deck of cards, deciding he was going to attempt making a house. No, a mansion. His best one yet. He took off his watch and placed it on the table, rubbing his hands in preparation before he took a breath and released it. He was going to time himself. Francis was going to do this in record time.

So far, Ivelisse had felt quite confident in how she was expanding her social circle. Sure, she didn't exactly like everyone she had come across but she could handle some off the less fun students well enough to still be friends with them. Or at least act like it. She had to admit she was relieved she had also managed to make some real, genuine friends last year though. People she knew wanted to hang out with her because they actually enjoyed being around her. The only downside was that the few of those friends she had made so far were all from different houses. Which was exactly why she had headed for the student lounge in the hopes that she'd run into anyone fun. It didn't take her more than a glance after she had entered to see that none of her friends were there though. She did, however, spot something else interesting going on as she saw a boy timing himself just when he was about to start building a house of cards and couldn't resist heading straight for him. "You trying to break a record or something?" Ive grinned as she sat down across from him, definitely curious.

Francis had just placed his third card when he got distracted. It took him a moment to realise that whoever had just spoken had spoken to him, and no one else. Well, mostly because there was nobody else in his vicinity. He turned around and when he noticed who was there he gave the girl a smile. "Yeah! I sure am," he nodded as he responded to her question, pleased that she could tell what he was trying to do. France was also pleased to know that she seemed invested in what he was doing. An idea occurred to him. "Hey, you wanna help me out?" Doing this with someone else was probably better than just doing it by himself, not to mention more fun. It was an opportunity to make a new friend, too, which France never gave up.

Ivelisse curiously watched as the boy placed another card before he even realized she had been talking to him. She wasn't sure if it was curiousness or nosiness but she liked to know what other people were up to. She was a little surprised when he mentioned he was actually trying to break some sort of record but at the same time him setting his watch before he started had been a bit of a giveaway. "Sure." Ive shrugged when the boy asked if she wanted to help, keen for any sort of challenge. Even one as neutral as stacking cards to see how quickly they could do it. "So what's the deal? Are you going for speed, size, height? All of the above?"
