A friend in need!

Jake was relieved when Kate didn't ask him more about his reaction to her question. He was already worried about it, and he didn't need Kate to make him think about it more. "Thanks, a whole lot." Jake said, with a tone of relief to his voice. Now he just needed to think of a question to ask Kate, one that would either make her lose the game or win it. he couldn't ask a simple question, that would make her win instantly. It was unfortunate that he didn't know Kate well enough to know what kind of question to ask her exactly. Jake bit the inside of his cheek and looked away, again. This made him able to think. Even though he was probably being rude to Kate, at least he could try to think of a hard question. He quickly gave up and decided to ask her an easy question. He wanted her to win, so now would be the best time to let her win. "What do you think got you sorted into Hufflepuff?" Jake asked, as he looked back at Kate and raised a curious eyebrow.

Jake was glad that he was going to actually go to the Yule Ball this year. Now he could actually go because he had at least one friend going. "Awesome, I will try to be there. What should I wear?" Jake asked. He knew that girls dressed up for these things but he didn't know exactly what to wear himself. "No, I didn't." Jake answered casually, as he yawned. It's not because he was tired or anything, he just yawned. Jake smiled at Kate, as he awaited an answer from her.
