Rose couldn't believe it.She was actually attending Hogwarts New Zealand the school she had been waiting to attend for months. The school was huge, much bigger then she had imagined. She couldn't wait to explore this castle which probably had hundreds of hidden tunnels and passageways.A part of her missed her papa but she then she would scold herself for missing someone who had never once shown an ounce of love to her.It was her dream to have an actual conversation with her papa and actually have him look at her.It hurt that he had never once looked at her after she was the age of two.But Rose doubted that would happen for a long time, maybe with her being gone her father would be able to recover more quickly because he didn't have to hide from her.Rose sighed, she wasn't going to think about her papa because it just made her sad and there was no reason for her to be sad when she was in Hogwarts! She had been sorted into the Gryffindor house, she was excited to be in such a house. She had heard many stories of harry Potter and his friends and they had been in Gryffindor! But that didn't make any of the other houses any less important. She just hoped she made some friends. Most of the people in her year seemed friendly but there was always the one of two who were mean and bullies,Rose didn't like those people. She hated bullies. They took advantage of people who were weaker then themselves which was just cowardly.

She had just entered the Great Hall after exploring the ground of the school. They were very extensive and it would take her a few days to explore all of outside. She had been to the Great Lawn and Lakefront, both places seemed very nice and she was looking forward to going to the places like the quidditch pitch, gardens and rose bush. But she had plenty of time, seven years really. So much would change over that period of time. But Rose was the sort of person who lived now.She didn't think of the future. As she walked into the common room a few older students welcomed her and Rose smiled back. She had a very pretty smile and was a very pretty girl though she didn't realize it.She wasn't into fashion or anything. She just dressed simple and threw on what ever was closest that didn't mean it looked bad on her.Whatever she wore usually looked good on her it was something she didn't realize either.Never having a mother she had never really been taught any ladies manners.Lucie had tried but she had her own life to live and she had been so busy with work that Rose had grown up by herself. It wasn't such a bad way to grow up but as a child no matter how many friends she made or protected she would still go home to a silent and sad house which once used to be full of light as her mother had been such a happy woman who would brighten up the place. Her mama and papa had been madly in love and a young couple.Rose sometimes felt as if it was her own fault for her mothers death, she had died giving birth to Rose.If she hadn't been born her mama and papa would probably be living happ together but Rose decided not to dwell on such things

She walked over to the Gryffindor table and sat down. There wasn't many people at the table but Rose didn't mind.Even though she was a sociable person she did like alone time sometimes. There was an old magazine called 'Rumor Has It' on the table.Curiously she picked it up and began to read.

Indiana Night was so happy to be here at Hogwarts. She dreamed about it ever since the day both her older siblings came here. She was a clone in looks to her older brother Kayden, but not a boy obviously. Yet she was just like her older sister Georgiana in her actions. Though she prehaps asked a few to many questions and said to many words in a short amount of time. Which was something Georgiana never had a problem with. Indiana was a proud Gryffindor, like her older sister who was a 6th year Prefect for the house. Georgiana was also basically like a mother to the young girl, and like all girls at certain points in their lives, she wanted to be just like the person who was her mother. She would never want to be anything like her real mother however. Who ran away from them not long after Indiana was born.

Indiana headed into the Great Hall it was time to eat said her stomach. She walked into and looked around at the different tables. Moving over towards her own house table she spotted a smaller person like herself sitting alone. Now Indiana wasn't a very shy person, in fact she was a very talkative type of girl. Going up towards the girl sitting there she sat down across from her. The girl reading some sort of magazine called Rumor Has It. Indiana let her read on as she loaded up her plate. Talking a few bites of the food she smiled as the wonderful tastes crossed her tounge. The food here was amazing, she knew it was done by House Elfs. They were free house elfs that were paid to work here, Indiana was told by her older sister that they enjoyed doing work. They were the ones who brought all their luggage to their rooms each year, but they only had to lift a few fingers and snap. "What're you reading?" She asked the girl curiously.

Rose had only heard stories about Hogwarts and she wasn't even sure if they had been true as they had been told from Lucie which she guessed was told from her papa. She was surprised that he had even told Lucie the stories she didn't know what he really felt about her.It was confusing and she remember as a little girl crying and pleading at her papa to look at her.Lucie had pulled her way quickly but that hadn't stopped her from crying. She wished she had had a sibling to take up her time with.Maybe life wouldn't have been so lonely. She had always wanted either an older brother or sister or a younger one just so she would have someone to talk to,play with. But her mama had died and her father had never ever looked at another woman afterwards. She often wondered did he have any feelings for Lucie maybe it was just wishful thinking or something.

As Rose read the magazine, her eyes widened in shock at what was being written in the magazine. It was terrible and she wondered was anything in it true. She hoped she was never in one she doubted there was anything remotely interesting in her life that would make her featured in the magazine. She was surprised that who ever wrote it had gotten away with it so long. She wondered how long the magazine had been written.Rose was about to put the magazine away when she heard a voice above her. "Oh some magazine called Rumor Has It"She said looking at the magazine with clear disdain "It's rubbish now and very mean"She said putting the magazine back on the table. "I'm Rose, first year Gryffindor"She said smiling putting out her hand

Indiana looked over and caught some pictures of the people the magazine talked about. Plus a few of the words, it didn't seem like the people who wrote the articles were very nice people, she hoped they were all gone now. She hadn't ever heard anything about the magazine from her older sister, but then again Georgiana wasn't the gossipy type. "Rumor Has It? Isn't that the last Head Boy?" She asked looking down at the first picture. She wondered if her sister knew any of the people, or if any of these stories were true. The young girl was sure to ask her sister about it later when she saw her.

Georgiana Night seemed be checking in on her little sister a lot. Asking plenty of questions about the other first years the girl met. No doubt was in Indiana's mind that they'd talk about Rose later and then Georgie would relate it back to one of the people she met in her first year and how they turned out. That was all Georgiana seemed to be doing, teaching Indi from her own mistakes and trying to help her sister not make them. But then again we all learn from our own mistakes so sometime in the future once Georgiana graduated, no doubt Indiana would make her own mistakes then. "My name's Indiana Night. My sister is one of the Gryffindor's Prefects."

Rose looked at the pictures of the people. She wondered how the authors had gotten the pictures, maybe something to do with magic or something. She recognized some from seeing them around the school. There was a particular horrible thing about some boy who had been abused at home,he looked quite familiar though Rose was sure she hadn't see him before. The surname was familiar too,she wondered where she had heard it before. There were other horrible stories, some about cheating and drama queens and other girls. How the person had found out about anything was beyond her "I'm not sure,I don't know who he is"Rose said looking once more through the magazine. "There a lots of poor students in this, its just horrible"Rose said sadly "Lets hope they've left"She said

Rose couldn't wait for school to begin properly. She was looking forward to learning as much as she could about magic. It was her escape really. She loved art and music but she wasn't sure if she would be able to make a career out of it.She was sure magic would be a more stable career but then again she was young and her decisions could change. It was the great thing about being young you had your whole life ahead of you and you had many decisions at your finger tips. "Oh cool I'm the only one here"She said smiling "I remember you from the sorting you're in gryffindor aren't you?"She said questioningly.

Indiana glaced over all the pictures as well, she didn't see her own sister so she was glad. Though she already knew her sister wouldn't have done anything to get herselfed mentioned in the evil nasty magazine, but some people liked to make up things anyways. Eating some more of the food on her plate as the other girl spoke about what is was saying. "Think that another will be posted this year? It says bi-yearly on there," she stated looking at the top of the magazine. She smiled as the stated her thoughts about the people being gone. "I was hoping that as well," she shared with the girl.

"Are you the oldest?" The young girl asked curiously. Being the youngest she always wondered what it much be like to be the oldest, not that Georgiana would say that it was anything special. But Indiana knew her family was special and different then most. So really Indiana just wondered what it was like in a normal family, even a normal muggle family would be good with her over the turmoils of her own. "Yeah! Of course, that's why I'm at this table ya know. Plus you looked lonely sitting at it by yourself," she said to the girl. Truth be told she wasn't sure if they were even allowed to eat at other house's tables. If she able to then she'd probably go and eat at somepoint with Preston, the boy she met before the school year started. He was her first Hogwarts friend, but this girl would most likely be her first girl Hogwarts friend she hoped.

Rose bit her lip,if it was bi-yearly that meant the people hadn't left school yet.She wondered when the first magazine had come out and how long before they left. She doubted she would ever be in that magazine and she hoped she never was.It was stupid anyways and who ever was in the magazine shouldn't take any notice of it.She certainly wouldn't take any notice, she would just blow it off. She put some food on her plate. She had some croissant. She put some butter and jam on it,it was heated and she took a bit.As usual it was delicious.Rose had always had a croissant for breakfast at home, they were delicious and there had been a bakery just down the road from her so she had been able to have one fresh each day.The elves did a good job but nothing could beat a genuine fresh croissant or maybe that was just her being biased.Either way both were lovely.

"Well I'm an only child"She said a sad smile on her face. She had always wanted a sibling but obviously that was never going to happen.Rose had dealt with that fact a long time ago and it didn't affect her as much now.She had plenty of friends at home, some like siblings to her and they were who she was focusing on not on the sister or brother she would never have. "Well you can sit at others,I think"She added, she was almost sure you could, people might not like it but it was allowed. "thanks"She said smiling appreciating the fact that she had come over,Rose would have done the exact same. "How are you finding Hogwarts so far?"She asked curiously taking a drink of coffee that she had poured herself a few minutes ago

Indiana decided that she didn't want to take much about the dumb magazine any more. The food was incredibly yummy and she had the chance to make friends with an actual girl at the moment and she wasnted to take it. Suprisingly the young girl hadn't actually met any girls yet, actually Rose was the first one though she didn't actually even know Rose's name yet. "Sorry I don't think I caught your name," she said polietely trying to get it out of the girl across from her. It just got lost in their talking and she figured the girl might of grown up differently then she had. Though she couldn't imagine what parents would tell her not to tell her name to others her age and in her own hosue.

"Oh, I have two older siblings, much older. I felt like an only child when they were here," Indiana said to the girl. She did know however that she'd never actually know what it was like to be an only child, she'd always have Georgie and Kay. She had grown up with them, nothing could ever change that bond, even if tomorrow they were gone. When the girl said she thought they were allowed to sit at other tables she had a wide grin grow on her face. "Really? I'll have to sit with my friend in Slytherin at some point then and catch up," she said almost to face to really catch anything she said. Sitting up straighter she looked up and down the Slytherin table to see if teh boy she was talking about was there. He wasn't which was good she didn't want to leave the girl in front of her all alone or uproot her from her spot to go visit her Slytherin friend. Focusing back on what the girl was asking she almost got very excited once again. "Oh wonderful! The Quidditch Captain gave me the chance to try-out because my sister and brother have been teaching me to fly for years! And I just love Quidditch!" Her nose crinkled when she saw what the girl was drinking but didn't say anything about it. If she wanted bad breath and yellowed teeth it was her own choice, and Georgiana hated it when her father drank it but also never said anything to him about it.

Rose was enjoying the food. She had always had to make her own food at home. From the age of five she had to learn how to cook as no one else was going to do it for her.Lucie had been busy at work and sometimes she would make meals and Rose would just heat them up but once day when Lucie didn't get the time Rose had had to look around the house and she had managed to make her own meal. She had enjoyed cooking and then had often made her own meals. She had then found out she had a talent for it.Her favorite things to make were desserts. They just tasted some yummy and she loved licking the bowl and waiting to eat them when they were finished.Rose frowned she was almost sure she had said her name. "Didn't I tell you?"She asked "Well I'm Rose"She added smiling. She didn't mind that she had possibly forgot her name,it happened to the best of people.Rose had a good memory anyways, she tended to remember lots of things, names were things she never tended to forget. She wasn't sure why,but after having no memories of her Mama she tends to remember everything else that happens in her life.

"It's lonely a lot of the time"She said looking down at her hands. It was worse because she had no parents to fill the void of having no sibling to talk or play with. She had gotten over the fact that she would have no brother or sister. She had had a long time to get over it since she had figured it out at a pretty young age.Rose had only talked to a few other people in Hogwarts. She hadn't exactly been here for long. She had made a few and she hoped to make some new ones soon. She only had friends in Gryffindor, she hadn't made friends in any other houses. She hadn't met people from other houses so she couldn't exactly be friends with them.Rose has liking Hogwarts. It was a nice break from her Dad and Nantes. She liked change and she always embraced it.She hadn't gone through much change as a kid and she loved embracing new things. "That's great, well done"She said smiling. She had never played Quidditch before. She had certainly heard of it and she liked to watch matches but she had no one to teach her or buy her a broom so she hadn't been able to practice.Rose noticed Indiana's nose crinkle and smiled "You don't like coffee?"She asked

Finishing what was on her plate Indiana smiled at the girl while reaching for the pitcher of juice that was on the table. "No you hadn't," she said with a laugh glad she knew what the refer to the girl as. Rose was a nice name and the girl seemed to be pretty just like one. The girl felt bad that the girl hadn't ever had siblings at home, but she wondered if it would've been a better experience. Her older brother Kayden was always to protective over her where ever they went. And she was sure Georgiana would be the same here at school. She had heard a few stories of her sister's experience at the school, not all of it, but what did hear made her think her sister would be quick to make sure Indiana didn't do the same. However much Indiana wanted to be like her sister, she was already starting of different. Georgiana never wanted to join Quidditch but her boyfriend made her try out it and get her interested in the sport. Indiana herself has been playing Quidditch since she was young, ever since Georgiana and Kayden both fell in love with the sport.

Based on her experience she had gotten permission as a first year to audition for the Gryffindor team, she dearly hoped that she'd get to be out playing with her sister on the pitch. "You should come to the games and cheer on the team! It's a lot of fun even to just watch," she answered to the girl. She knew that only because she had gotten to go see a few Pro games with her older brother as well as watch some of his games at school as a guest. All of it made her more and more interested in the sport over the years.
