Liir dressed in a soft leather coat which was lined with thick fur of somewhat exquisite taste sat motionless at the foot of the forest. A cry from the heavens let him know that he was not alone as a single tawny feather floated down in his line of vision, a gift from his closets friend Icaraus. A slow smirk crawled across his handsome face as a light breeze blew though tossing his ever growing blonde hair out of his angular face as his enticing cologne floated away to places yet explored. He had been in the wilds of Russia for a few weeks but somewhere deep inside he felt he was always apart of the harsh country. His father was part Russian which was one of the reason his mother had fallen in love with him though it was for the same reason she eventually left him and for good measures too. His mother had told him that he had his fathers charm and dashing good looks but her quick wit as well as her noble ideals which made for a deadly combination. However he did not look at all Russian nor would he ever have the honor of being completely exclusive to its world as he was a hybrid of two worlds and for that he could not but feel lost.
Durmstrang was now his home and one he would get use to as it was not his first option but it seemed as though his choice was no longer his own. His grandfather was not impressed with his grades nor did he enjoy the fact that their was no strong influence watching over the school and so much to his mothers sadness, Liir was sent to the very school his father and his father graduated from with nearly perfect marks. Liir had protested but to no avail as it was his grandfather that held the keys to the family fortune which would allow him to move further up in life not to mention his mother and for that reason Liir eventually accepted the fact and moved on. It was not a bad place though it was rumored that the dark arts was more acceptable here were as it was not so much accepted everywhere else which could be a good thing as he did not care for the restriction on knowledge that Hogwarts and the Ministry had in place. The students and professor we equally as ambitious as he was and it seemed as though he would soon fit in as long as he made the right social choices that would make his next several years here bearable.
A shiver ran down his spine as he turned to face the sun the warm rays helped to fight off the colder air as he snuggled further into his coat. He was used to the beaches of California and was ill suited for such cold tempature but he would do his best at attempting to stay warm though he deeply missed long watch on the sandy shore of his mother's sea side cottage and the fresh salt smell of the ocean that lulled him to sleep when he was a boy. Here however was something new entirely as he was not used to the trees and local wildlife of the area which was almost alien to him as he had never scene the likes of which ever in his life and yet it was beautiful in a deadly sort kind of way. He had spent a lot of time in the woods and with Icaraus nearby he was trying to explore the world as best he could before he was sent home for the holidays.
