It was a typical Summers day and the dress of everyone reflected as such. The sun was burning high in the sky and the smell of freshly cut grass was fresh in the air around the castle. There were flowers all around which also gave off a sweet smell. Birds sang gaily in the sky as they flew around playing with their friends. There was a nice atmosphere about the grounds today and most people were feeling it. Even Logan was in high spirits today and enjoying the summer sun. Today was one of the week days which he did not have an exam and instead of studying like he always did he had busied himself with letter writing to his older brother, to see how things were going for him. He had told him that he had found a new girl friend recently and Logan knew it was the girl he had brought home that night, she seemed nice. Apparently Mark had a think for French girls. Only ever had two girl friend Logan could not really say what his thing was, he just liked girls who were not self centred or mean. Georgie seemed to be the perfect girl for him so he guessed that his type were girls like her although there was only one girl for him and she was the girl he was in love with right now. Despite being two years below him Logan thought himself lucky to be with her and would not be ruining their relationship like he had done with Lily.

After letting the owl go and fly with his letter Logan let took a deep breath, taking in the sweet smells which were around him then sighed lightly. He was in such a good mood as he headed to the window and sat on the sill. A gentle breeze passing through his hair and down his back chilling the sweat and sending a cool shiver down his spine. It was such a nice view from this height, he could see the lake and all the students on the grounds playing a range of games. It was too hot for him to want to be running around everywhere. He would much rather sit and relax then get hot and bothered playing a game. He planned on staying up here for a while before heading anywhere else, he was enjoying the quiet this place was offering him right now. It was something which had become hard for him to find since the belonging of this term, he had made enemies of a group of first years who took enjoyment out of keeping him awake until the silly hours of the morning and disrupting his studies with their loud speak and such. He would certainly be switching dorms next semester. Still until then he was making the most of this time right now

Shaylah fanned herself with her hand as she walked up the stairs for to the North Tower. It was a very hot day and walking up all the stairs wasn't helping but she was in a good mood and felt like drawing. Shay's sketchpad was in the hand swinging by her side along with a few pencils, a rubber and a sharpener. It was all she really needed when drawing. She never bothered with the colours. In fact, shading usually looked more effective than colour. Shay hadn't done any drawing in a while though. She always found she couldn't draw when she was in a bad mood and the last few years had been one long bad mood. At least things were looking up now. She was no longer at the Halfway House. She now lived with Riley and his family and she actually felt accepted for once. The only time in the past that she'd felt like this was when she was with her dad playing music or walking the dog or even just messing around in the house. He was her inspiration in life and she missed not having him around but there was nothing she could do to change that. At least now she also had Adam. He was a great guy and he treated her like a person instead of judging her for what she's done.

Shay saw someone already in the tower so she sat on the window ledge and opened her sketch book. She frowned slightly when she realised she recognised him from somewhere. He was much younger at the time though. Less mature as well. She just couldn't remember where exactly she knew him from. He looked slightly younger than she was so she guessed he was probably a fourth year and she could see by his clothes that he was a Ravenclaw. Shay sighed quietly to herself and looked over to him. "Excuse me, do I know you?? You look very familiar but I don't know where from." She was surprised that she was being so kind but then again she was in a very good mood today and for an unknown reason as well.
