A date in the rain

[Zazuka Getathorn]

With the winter months coming so soon and the pressure of exams near Zazuka thought it would be nice if she and Andrew where to have a sort of date in one of the later storms. They soon become snow drifts and while tabogening and other snow time activities where fun it was not as fun as being in the rain in Zazuka's point of view. She came out like she usually come out when a rainy day came about. In little more than a sundress. Her feet where bare and her hair was loose coming down around her shoulders in soft curls.

Zazuka looked up at the sky with a large smile. The dark gray clouds where treatening a big one. She raised up her hands and laughed. She hoped Andrew would come out soon. Zazuka had written to him telling him that she wanted to see him bacause she had found a new spell she wanted to try out. In reality she just wanted to spend time with him. Goodness knew that she didn't get enough of it with the new first years running a muck and her being a prefect an all. The first few drops started to fall making Zazuka smile like the sun itself.

Andrew grinned as he read the letter knowing Zuka's intention clearly. He knew her too well to know what she'd like on a rainy day.He changed to cool shorts and a white shirt as he walked out in the rain, smiling as he saw Zuka there already.

Her hair was dripped in rain along with her dress making her look more beautiful."Hey gorgeous, a new spell you say? I wonder if its similar to a love potion that brought me here"he said grinning as he pulled her closer to him and brushed his lips lightly to hers.

Zazuka laughed before she deepened the kiss a little. She placed her arms on his shoulders so her hands could come together a little ways away from his neck. "I never needed a love potion to make you like me this way." She said with a soft laugh. "Thank you for coming out to meet me. I know exams must have you so busy." She said with a wide grin. They had her busy too but she wanted time with Andrew before the ball.

"Anytime" he said as he tigtened his arms around her holding her in a firm grip as he bent to give her yet another kiss."Exams..ugh..just don't talk about them at the moment"he said with a frown as the Astronomy notes came in his mind.

"So what have you been up to these days? I dont see you often? Is it the Prefect stuff thats keeping you from me?"he asked her.

Zazuka kissed him back when he came down then nodded. "Perfect duties and research and trying to get Andy to come down from her dorm. So much is happening. I'm happy just being here and in your arms Andrew." She said laying her head on his shoulder. In just barely a whisper finally said it. "I love you." She didn't know if Andrew heard her but she didn't mind much. She had said it finally after months of thinking it.

Andrew listened as Zuka talked about her stuff. However, when she said 'I love you' he wasn't sure how to reply to that.Those words meant something more than normal crush or date or girlfriend boyfriend relationship and Andrew had decided that he wasn't going to use the words but Zuka was the special person in his life and so he wisphered back "I love you too"as he sealed it in another kiss.

"So what are you going to wear to the ball?"he asked her curiously.

Zazuka's heard sang when he said it back. Andrew loved her. She had heard a few rumors that a girl had said it to her boyfriend and it turned out badly. It was one of the things that had made her so scared to say it before. She kissed him back lovingly and smiled brightly. "I'm waring a purple dress I decided to make. It's really simple but it really nice too." She said. She was blushing a bit thought the rain was cold on her skin making her look a bit like a reddening china doll. "What are you waring?" She asked with a most brilliant smile.

"Purple's a nice colour.Besides, anything suits you"he said with a smile."I'm wearing a black suite, with a white shirt and a black tie"he said to her."You know black and purple is agreat combination.Why do you think there isn't a house from purple in Hogwarts?"he asked her thoughfully.

 

[Zazuka Getathorn]

Zazuka thought for a moment. "I think purple is more of a nutrual color. I mean when you think Slytherin you think green, when you think Gryfindor you think red and when you think purple you think..." She Zazuka leaned up and kissed Andrew softly. "Me." She said laughing softly. It was a joke and excuse to kiss Andrew again.

That was exactly what Andrew had been planning to answer."Hmm..purple Zuka, seems cool although I like you in Blue better especially when you put on something realted to butterflies.It is sort of a part of your personality"he said telling het the way he saw it.

Zazuka smiled when Andrew said he thought her as a butterfly. She loved butterflies but never really thought of herself as one. For a long time she had been locked up and she still sometimes hid herself thinking that people needed a brake from her. "I like you anyway you are. And thank you, I think that if I where ever an Animengus I would turn into a butterfly. What do you think you would turn into?" She asked tilting her head. She wondered what Andrew would be like. Some thing strong of course because she knew that Andrew as that way. Something mischievous too she loved that side of him even if she was an enforcer of the rules.

Andrew pondered over Zuka's question. He had never thought of it before. "I don't know maybe a ...tiger."he suggested not knowing why he thought so."What do you think I'll be?"he asked Zuka thinking what would Zuka be thinking of him.

Zauzka thought for a moment. "I would say something like a monkey. Not the cute things you see all the time the trouble makers you sometimes she on nauture shows but they are not bad little things only trying to adapt to life around them." She said slowly. She hoped that Andrew would take offence to what she said really she thought it a complament.

Andrew wanted to laugh when Zuka said a monkey but well it was true from all the mischievous stuff he did, and from zuka's mouth, Monkey sounded like something fun to be."Well, I am afraid to say that we'll have to wait to discover what I will become"he said with a smile.

Zazuka nodded knowing it was true. "Well one thing we don't have to wait for is to see what I will be when I leave Hogwarts. I'm putting all my efforts into becomeing a Healer. Have you decided what your going to be yet?" She asked tilting her head. She knew that there where ones at Hogwarts that had no idea what they wanted to be. There was no pressure now though. They where only in the third year. Zazuka grabbed on to Andrew's hand and started to walk. In Zazuka's mind there was nothing better than a walk in the rain.
