Tabitha was on her way to the owlery to write a letter home to her mom. She usually sent her something once a week, but lately her life had been so boring she was struggling with what to write. There were only so many times you could write home about school work. Plus her mom was starting to become concerned with her lack of friends. When she had first learned she was magical it had taken hours with one of her professors to convince her mom to let her come to Hogwarts. Now she was worried that Tabitha was isolating herself completely. It had only gotten worse when all of her muggle friends had drifted away from her. Tabitha was about to walk up the stairs to the tower when she noticed a door that she had never seen before. At first she just told herself that it was a large castle, but she still turned back to inspect it. If she walked this path once a week for 2, and a half years wouldn't she have noticed this door before? Then again it was a magical castle. Maybe it had decided to add the room for something?
Tabitha knocked on the door, and when no one answered after a minute curiosity overtook her, and she opened the door to peer in. Inside was a writing room that had a large wooden desk in the middle, with a beautiful plush chair. On the desk was various writing supplies, inks of all colors, and different kinds of paper, and parchment. Quills, pencils, and even muggle pens. Also on the desk was a steaming mug of hot chocolate, and a plate of cookies that smelled just like the oatmeal chocolate chip ones her mom used to make. Tabitha wondered if perhaps this was a new professors office. She called out asking if anyone was there, but no one answered. The smell of the cookies, and hot chocolate drew her to the desk. Maybe staying here to write wouldn't be such a bad idea.
