Despite her busy schedule, somehow Charlotte was able to organise a small family get together for Violet’s 6th Birthday. She invited family members only and wanted to make it as special as possible. She loved family events, and it would be the first one in a very long time. Admittedly, she missed the ones that she wasn't able to see as often, and she hoped that they would enjoy the event that she had planned. The woman spent the whole morning cleaning the house and running after the twins to ensure that they didn’t dirty anything that she just cleaned. She also spent her time in the kitchen, baking some cupcakes and making some other finger food that everyone could enjoy, such as fairy bread and custard tarts. She hoped that Violet would appreciate the effort she was putting into it. She set up the food table with a pink tablecloth and some pink and white balloons, and even added some glitter around as she knew that Violet would like that. A banner hung over it, reading 'Happy Birthday' with pictures of unicorns around it. The woman waited nervously for her family members to arrive, excited to see them all again.

Dan was very much looking forward to his daughter's sixth birthday, it would be a nice break from work and everything else, and it would give him a chance to spend some time with family. He hadn't seen them in a while, having been busy with his job or with his children, and well, he admittedly felt a bit exhausted. But he was happy. Dan opened the door to his house and stepped inside, closing the door behind him. He smiled as he saw Charlotte's decorative talents. She was definitely much better at organising stuff than he was, that was for sure. She was much more creative. "Hey babe," he greeted, putting his arms around her waist and giving her a kiss on the cheek. "You've done an exceptional job with the party." And he meant it. He saw the assortment of food and snacks. "I have the gifts hidden in our room, by the way," he grinned. Hopefully, Violet had no idea that him and Charlotte had gotten her birthday presents.

It felt like a lifetime since Spencer had seen his sister and her kids but in reality, it had probably only been a few months. He had been away studying magical creatures and while he had sent the occasional letter back to family members he had struggled to stay in touch due to how busy his work schedule had become. He couldn't complain however, Spencer was happy to be doing the work he was. He felt much more like himself than he ever had during his school years.

With Violet’s present under his arm, Spencer apparated a couple of streets away from his sister's house and walked the rest of the way. Once he reached the house he wrapped his knuckles against it to announce his presence before letting himself in any way. “Uncle Spence is here,” Spencer announced hoping to catch the ears of his nieces, specifically the birthday girl.

Instead, he spotted his sister and her husband Dan and approached the pair. “Long time no see sis,” Spencer joked hugging her. He then turned and nodded his head to his brother-in-law. “Good to see you Dan,”

Today was Violet's big day and the whole day was going to be about her, which she found to be rather amusing. The girl made an effort to pick out her own outfit and dress herself. Since she was going to be the star, she wanted to match the decorations. She knew that her mother had lots of pink, so she wore her pink overalls and her pink sandals, and brushed her hair. When she heard the front door open and her uncle's voice, she quickly ran out to him. "Uncle Spencer!" she exclaimed, hugging his leg before eyeing the present that was tucked underneath his arm. "Is that for me?"

Amy loved birthday parties. In particular, ones that were about her family members. This one was special because it was her niece's special day. With Noah right in front of her, Alana holding her hand, and James in her arms, she approached the front door of her twin's house, relieved to have arrived. She was fairly exhausted, considering that she worked and had three young children, which, as she'd noticed time and time again, wasn't always easy to balance. She let go of Alana's hand briefly just to knock on the door but was not that surprised that it had been left open. She spotted Dan and Charlotte, with Violet hugging Spencer, which was an adorable sight to see. She smiled fondly. "Happy birthday, Violet!" she said. "Guess what Noah has for you," she nudged Noah towards his cousin as she'd given him the gift for Violet. She then walked over to her brother, giving him a grin. "Hey twin, Charlotte," she greeted, before she turned to Spencer and gave him a small wave. "She really is an excitable little one, isn't she," she laughed.

Matthew didn’t make it home as much as he would have liked but he made it a point to be there for the major events in his family’s lives. As such he had returned home for Violet’s birthday. Matthew followed his wife Amy up to her brother's house with all of their children in tow. They entered the house and there was already a lot happening inside, Violet had attached herself to Spencer who must have not long arrived himself, Amy worked on getting her attention and once she had got Noah to give Violet her present Amy walked over to her brother and Charlotte and Matthew followed.

“Dan, Charlotte, good to see you both,” Matthew said. He had known Dan when they were younger when he and Amy had spent a lot of time with his mother but had never quite been as close to him as he had got with Amy and despite Charlotte’s close friendship with his late sister, he hadn’t spent much time with her.
