A huge smile was spread across briars face as she turned on the spot and appeared in dee's apartment the apartment she had been living in for most of the last three months. It was about the same time she usually returned home from work. About ten in the morning but instead of being in her quidditch gear she was in the ministry clothes she had left in that morning (or due to the time difference the evening before) however unlike the morning there was an energy about her that seemed to have decreased over time, from when being a child it always being there to now rarely showing appearance, looking at her one would not be surprised to see sparks in her mane of ginger hair, and there was a manor about her that would remind someone of a young child waking up on Christmas morning, not that she had calibrated christmas as a young child.
"dee, I'm home and I have a surprise" she called heading into the other room of the apartment and greeting her boyfriend with a kiss.  This she was really exited about. As much as she loved living with dee in their apartment in London she found it close to suffocating at times, all the people so tightly packed together, and the ground was wrong too, it felt horrible running over pavements or pristine playing fields when she had spent her whole life funning through forests.
She paused for a moment remembering that maybe he was busy today, maybes she would share her surprise some other day, but she didn't know if she could wait that long. "are you busy today? she asked almost as an after thought. Forgetting that today was Saturday, she usually worked Saturdays at  the ministry (the shift she had finished about four hours ago) but took Monday's off so that due to the new zealand England time difference she could basically have the weekend off with dee.

"Over here" Dederick called back when he heard Briar shouting out his name. He was busy fixing something in the kitchen, seems like the pipes were acting again in their flat. The banging through the night woke him up this morning with a throbbing headache, so many promises of fixing it he finally put aside some time to fix it. Briar would appreciate, he hope she did. He could tell this place was wearing her down a little. He would understand on the count of her upbringings. He set the ranch down and pulled himself from out under the sink. Getting up he greeted Briar with sweat running down his face and dirty hands. He lean over to kiss her briefly, "Sorry I was trying to do it without magic, and as you can see.." he said with a chuckle, "Not working at all". There was a new air about him where he was less himself and more light in his ways. Kinda like a fresh new Dee, but he had come to find out he was suffering what muggels would call bipolar. With this new found information about him, Dederick sought help and support at the U.K.s St.Mungos. Treatment was going well, therapy and understanding made it easy for him and less of a burden on Briar.

"I guess not" he clean himself right away with use of magic, using a few spells till he was decent and enough and less smelly for Briar to stand and be around him. "Why, what's up?" he beamed staring down at her, quirk eyebrows raised as he tried to figure out what was going through her mind right about now.

Briar heard a shut from the kitchen and went through. hello Dee, how have you bee" she said not quite finishing what she was saying as she saw where he was as he crawled out from under the sink. she smiled that he was fixing the sink, the thing kept banging when ever anyone was sleeping. she was glad he was fixing it. as he kissed her she kissed back wrapping her arms around him, she didn't care if he was dirty or sweaty, she was sued to being both and a little dirt never hurt anyone. She smiled at how different he had been recently, ever since he had been diagnosed with pipolar he had been handling things really well. "no need to apologise, it is a good job and without magic it is even better" she said giving him another kiss.
when she pulled away she smiled. "I have something to show you, maybe you should take a break from the pipes and come back later" she said exited again. the new property was exactly what she had been looking for, large, secludes and although there was only a sort of shed as building it too was large and had been converted to a place where one could stay a few nights if they wanted to. she watched as he cleaned himself with magic, she hadn't minded the sweat at all, it showed he had been working hard and that was one of the many things she loved him for, even if the was in a bad place he always seemed to be working, either fishing to get money or fixing whatever he could up around the flat.
