((Sorry it's taken so long. I've been piled with coursework and haven't had much time for HNZ))
"It's my pleasure." Megs had never been able to help other people very much so when she managed it she got a huge flood of self-esteem wash over her. "I love being able to help people. Some people...
"I always seem to find potions takes a natural talent. You either have it or you don't." She shrugged. "Its like cooking. People could read a book or two about cooking and suddenly be an expert where as other people could spend years and years practicing and still be terrible." Megs couldn't...
"Happily." Megs grinned. "Why would I not want to help someone. I'm not selfish." She looked down at the books that Angela was reading. "So what subjects do you need help with???"
"I could help you if you want. I'm getting good grades in most of my classes." She smiled when she realised she could actually help someone. "I know how you feel. I had a tough start as well."
Megs laughed. "No. I've never had a boyfriend and I don't think I will do any time soon." She shrugged. "I don't mind though. I'm more interested in getting good grades than getting good boys."
"Not all of them." Megs shrugged. "My only other friend is a guy. He's great." Megs hadn't actually seen Andrew in a while so didn't know what he was up to.
"Yeah." Megan's smile didn't cover her whole face but it was the best she could do. "I've never met my dad. Him and my mum were a one night stand and my mum hasn't seen him since. She says she's glad though."[hr]"Yeah." Megan's smile didn't cover her whole face but it was the best she could do...
"It must be hard not being able to live with your parents." She looked at Angela and noticed the look on her face. "Unless you don't like your parents of course. I take it you like your aunt and cousin though???" She couldn't think why anyone would move house to live with people they didn't like.
"Yeah." She grinned. "I like animals but I don't love them. I prefer just to have my mum." She thought about her mum. "Do you live with your family???"
Megs winced. "That must of hurt. I tend to stay out of her way as much as possible." Then she shrugged. "Not much really. Reading is about all I do. I prefer facts to anything else." She grinned at her new friend. "What about you??"
Megs smiled when she realised how Angela had hinted that she wanted to hang out with Megs. "Are you sure. I don't want you to get hurt because of me." She looked down at the floor. Another reason she didn't have any friends was because she didn't want to watch people getting hurt. "Yeah. I...
"I've also had four eyes as one of my nicknames." She shrugged. "I don't know. people seem to think that by hanging out with me, they end up gettin beaten up." Then she smiled as Angela spoke again. "Nice isn't always the best thing to be. The people who are mean to me seem to have loads more...
Megs suddenly felt relaxed with Angela when she realised that both of them got picked on. "Yeah. I get thought of as a nerdy midget freak. That along with the fact that some people hate muggle borns just makes my life hell." Then she thought allowed. "You're the second person who's ever been...
Megs hesitated before shaking the boys hand. She was extremely short for her age so even though the boy looked younger than her, she still had to look up to him. "I...I'm Megs."
"Oh...no." She smiled nervously. "I...I don't go in the common room much at all. I...I prefer to keep to myself and stay hidden. It just..." Megs tried to think of the right words. "...It stops unwanted things from happening." That was the only way she could thinkk of explaining it.
