Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y51/S1

Lilith was flying directly below Rosé so she was rather relieved the beater hadn't yet dropped the bat. That would have probably felt worse than a bludger.

when theo was close enough to the hoops, he threw the quaffle towards the right hoop, a cheerful smile appearing on his face as he watched it sail through the hoop.

Lilith kept looking for the snitch but instead saw Theodore score and cheered for the fourth year.

Lilith found nothing but air.

Lucy pulled up on a bludger and swung, but her bat glanced off the side and sent it spinning off in completely the wrong direction.

OOCOut of Character:
Our two weeks will be up tomorrow, make sure to get any last posts in before practice wraps up :) Thanks for such a productive one, team!

Hinemoa knew it should help, but Lilith's encouragement only drove her humiliation deeper. She had been playing her whole life, she had literally trained with the head of the whole Quidditch league, but somehow she was completely choking when her chance came to play on a real team? It was embarrassing, and though Hinemoa kept it together until Lilith flew away she felt tears prickling her eyes as she flew off in the opposite direction, taking a moment to collect herself.

Lucy kept circling, one eye flicking up to the sky. The clouds were thickening, and she knew there had to be rain coming in soon. The team had been practicing for so long, she figured once the rain started it'd be time to call it.

Hinemoa flew lower again, this time to hide herself a bit from her fellow players, embarrassed by her ongoing failure.

The air was as empty as it had been earlier.

Lucy pulled up on a bludger and swung again, sighing in frustration as it flew just below Lilith's broom. Her streak really was over.

Hinemoa flew a little lower and tried to pull back her tears and get herself together. She couldn't find the snitch with tears in her goggles.

Rose was flinging her bat in the air, frustrated she couldnt get one last hit on Maggie before they finished.

Lilith wiggled around on her broom, starting to feel the practice all over her body and thinking about the sleep she was going to have tonight.

Suddenly the bludger was just a few feet away from Rose. She darted after it, not wasting an opportunity, and swung as hard as she could towards @Magdalene Grey, finally feeling like she'd gotten justice on the poor girl. She had nothing against the fifth year, but now she'd evened out their hits to one another.

Lilith watched with eyes wide as Rosé smacked a bludger at her roommate, she hadn' ben keeping score at the two beaters hits but she was pretty sure they were now even. Continuing on her search she thanked Merlin she wasn't the only target in this practice.

Lilith kept looking around as well as thinking over ways to cheer the second year seeker up, to encourage the girl a little more.

Getting a few more looks in for the practice Lili scanned the skies, just in case she could spot the snitch and get one more catch.

It was starting to look a lot like no more catches for Lilith.

As Lucy was pulling up on a bludger it hit all at once - not a few droplets but a sudden sheet of icy rain, the sky opening up to drench the team. She shrieked as it hit, her robes soaking through and freezing her to the bone at once, and Lucy fumbled to grab her whistle with shaky hands, sending out a sharp blast. "PRACTICE IS OVER EVERYONE!" She called out, hoping the team could hear. "WELL DONE GUYS! EVERYONE BACK TO THE LOCKER ROOMS!" She pulled her broom around and rocketed down for the shelter of the indoors, feeling optimistic about Ravenclaw's chances in the next match. Maybe this would be her year.
