Eloise was glad to be home from the break. Sure, she had loved seeing her friends and learning new things about the magical world, but she was glad to be home and see her family. However, she had to admit that she did miss her friends back at school now that she was at home. It had been a few days since they arrived back home for the break. Eloise had been bored, and usually when she was bored, she would end up going to one of her family members and bother them. This time, she had gone and bothered Miles. She had ended up bothering Miles with Quidditch. It hadn't taken much convincing that they were now outside with a broom each in hand. "Okay, so I just sit on the broom like this?" Eloise asked with a frown as she was about to get on the broom the wrong way, with the bristles of the broom being in front of her instead of behind her. They had been standing outside for almost twenty minutes now, with Eloise asking Miles a few questions already, with her still confused about everything.

Miles was always up for trying to get his siblings more into Quidditch and flying. Because how could you possibly not love the sport? Sure, it could be dangerous, and people sometimes got hurt, but that sort of thing had never much bothered Miles. Frankly, he didn't know what he would do without his position on the team and was really looking forward to the upcoming season. Gryffindor were going to be the chapions again, he was sure. "Um, no," he tilted his head as he watched his younger sister attempt to mount the broom the wrong way around. "You have it backwards. Don't you remember anything from your flying lessons?" Those were mandatory in first year, and not to mention she had been watching him for years, so she should know this sort of thing by now. Shouldn't she?

Eloise frowned in confusion when Miles told her that she had it backwards. "Really? Are you sure? How silly of me," Eloise says with a shrug, saying it like it was nothing. Though there was a tint of pink on her cheeks from slight embarrassment. "That was like a year ago. I've forgotten everything," Eloise explained. It did seem like it was a while ago. When it came to Quidditch, Eloise was completely hopeless and didn't have the greatest mindset when it came to the idea of it as a whole. Nor did she really pay attention to flying or Quidditch. Usually, she wasn't one to be trusted on a broom in general. Eloise then managed to get onto the broom, the proper way, after a bit of a struggle getting back on. "How does the broom even make you fly? There should be sparkles coming out of it when you fly! It would look extra pretty!"

"Yeah, quite sure," Miles responded, an almost terse smile on his lips as he watched his younger sister for a moment. And as Eloise pointed out that flying lessons had been years ago, Miles still couldn't help the slight pout. "Yeah, but, how do you just forget that kind of stuff? Especially which way to sit on a broom." He would have thought anyone would be able to tell that you were supposed to sit with the bristles behind you. At least she finally managed to get it the right way, Miles tilting his head just a little as he watched her struggle a little longer than she probably should. They hadn't even started flying yet and already she was having trouble. This was not a good sign. And then, the questions. "I, uh, I don't know. It just sort of... does. It's magic, isn't it?" Magic allowed you to do that kind of thing. It wasn't like he was an expert.

Eloise just shrugged at his question about how she could forget such a simple thing. She didn't really pay attention to anything that didn't really interest her. Sure, she'd get bits and pieces about the game and things because she always heard about it. But she found it a bit boring. If she was being honest, she was only doing this because she wanted to spend some time with her brother as well as try to get a better understanding of it all. But so far, Eloise was having no luck. As Eloise got on her broom, she tilted her head to the side as her brother tried his best to answer her question. She frowned a little when it seemed like he didn't really know how to answer. "Magic sounds complicated... Maybe there's like a wand embedded in it or something. Still think there should be pink sparkles shooting out of it when you fly though"
