Third Years, Lesson One

“Good morning, class." She raised a hand, the chalk raising to write out her name in an elegant script behind her.

“Now, all of you have chosen to be here. I would love the chance to get to know each of you, and work on a personal study plan so I can assist each of you in the best way possible,” she spoke, looking out to the smaller group of third years.

“Today, I would like each of you to work together in groups, at least two each, please, and begin your reading for the semester. Today I’d like you to read over these charms, if you can,” She flicked her wrist, the board filling with the charms for the semester. “Take notes, write down any questions you may have, we’ll begin our charm work next week."

She smiled, sitting at her desk and crossing her legs. “That’s all for today, my dears,” she smiled fondly at her students.

Henri walked into the charms classroom and took his spot in the room. he glanced towards the professor as the woman got started and just nodded at hte spells they would be covering. He paired up with someone in the class knowing he'd do that for the entirity of the semester and then headed out of the room the moment he could.

Reading was not what Miles thought was a very good time. He'd been looking forward to learning some new magic in Charms, but he supposed he was just getting ahead of himself. After all, it was the very first lesson so maybe he shouldn't be all too surprised that it was more of an introduction to the class than anything else. At least it seemed as though they would be getting to learn a bunch of new spells that semester which was something he was excited about. For now, he was just pleased once they were dismissed from the classroom, Miles wasting no time in grabbing his things and leaving.

Autumn entered the charms classroom, noticing the substitute professor at the front of the room. This substitute professor was definitely a little over worked. The Slytherin took out her writing equipment as the professor began talking, but she simply provided them with a list of all the spells they would be learning that semester. Some of it was exciting whilst others weren’t as interesting and Autumn wondered when and why anyone would find a couple of them useful. Soon enough, they were dismissed and Autumn was glad to head out.

Tessaria was looking forward to a new semester, however she didn't really enjoy classes all that much. She just hoped she'd be able to get through them all, especially with the homework that she was sure was quickly going to pile up and with the addition of some new classes this semester. The Gryffindor entered the Charms classroom where the substitute professor was waiting. She listened as she simply went over the spells they'd be learning about, which were all written in the textbook anyway. Eventually they were dismissed and Tess headed straight to her next class.
