January was getting tired from running all over the castle delivering roses on top of all her lessons. She knew some lunch would help but she wanted to get a few more deliveries out of the way. Seeing a professor on her list had made her a bit nervous, especially since it was for one she hadn't had yet as a teacher. It also didn't help that there were two professors with the same first name. But after some clarification that she was looking for the shorter of the two she made her way up to where the professors took their meals. She saw the professor and approached with caution. "E-excuse me Professor Fox." she said shyly. "Um, sorry to bother you but I have a rose for for you."
 
Killian had watched the kids deliver roses most of the morning and well onto the lunch hours, there was someone delivering a rose wherever you seemed to look. As a shy looking first year approached him the man put on a friendly smile, not wanting to scare her. "No problem at all, a rose?" That was a first one, but certainly not a surprise. He had an inkling that a certain blonde professor might be behind it.
 
January was relieved when the professor didn't seem to be bothered by her intrusion. "Yes!" she confirmed brightly before digging through her basket to find the right rose and note that went with it. "Here it is." she announced as she held out the yellow rose along with the note.

Killian smiled at the young girl taking the rose and its note. He opened the note and read it with a small smile before looking back at the girl again. "Thank you... your name was?" He asked wanting to thank her by her name and in case she ever took his class it was good to get ahead of learning her name.
 
January was still figuring out what she was supposed to do once she delivered her roses. She didn't want to over stay her welcome but she didn't want to seem rude either. She waited until the professor read his note and was about to excuse herself when he asked for her name. "Oh, my name is January." she offered with a smile. "Parish." she added quickly in case he wanted her full name, not that she knew of any other Januarys here at Hogwarts.
 
Killian gave a smile and a nod. "Very well then, thank you January." He told her the smile remaining. "I'll let you get back to you deliveries now but hope you have a good rest of your day!" Killian told her in a friendly tone. He thought it was nice of so many kids to sign up for this event.
