After making the team, Felix knew he should have written to his dad sooner than he had. He wanted to let him know that he'd made alt seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch team, because that was the position both his mum and his aunt had played when they were at school. His penmanship had never been that great, but he still scrawled out the words that he wanted to pass back home. Maybe dad would tell Leda too, and Wendall. Merlin, he hoped he'd hear back from Monty about how good of a player he was too. It would have been even nicer if they'd come to see him play, although since none of them knew he was even on the team yet he could understand that was a little difficult. He attached the letter to a small owl, before releasing it out the window.

Lilith had made the climb to the owlery yet again, though this time to send a letter back home to her parents rather than Tori. As she walked into the space habituated by the birds the Ravenclaw stopped in her tracks realizing she wasn't the only one there. "Oh Felix, hello fancy seeing you up here." She said with a small smile taking a step towards one of the owls. She'd brought a snack for it, gone to the kitchens asking for any leftover meat for the owl and an house elf had been kind enough to give her a piece so it wasn't that hard to attract one of the birds attention.

Felix didn't even need to turn to know that it was Lilith behind him. He leant against the wall, still peering out of the window and watching as the owl was getting smaller in the distance. "Sending something out?" he asked, only now turning to see the Ravenclaw, who seemed to be holding something in her hands that most certainly was not a letter. "Or is this the perfect place for lunch?" A smile grew on his face as he crossed his arms over his chest, "Quiet, a good view," he winked.

Lilith rolled her eyes at Felix's words. Typical. "No, it's for the owl. You know I am asking it to carry a letter all the way to Finland least i could do is feed it before I send it off." She explained with a smile and then waving out the piece of meat she was holding in a paper, an owl instantly flew down on her arm and she smiled to it. "I'm assuming you just sent out a letter too then? Or just having a nice little moment with them birdies?" The Ravenclaw returned the question petting the bird as it ate before giving it the letter.

Felix hadn't even considered feeding the birds before sending them out for a long journey. Oh well, he didn't need to feel guilty given his owl wasn't even leaving the country. "Do you do the same to Eoghan, before he goes back to Finland?" Felix teased, before looking once more out the clear window, the breeze refreshing on his face. Felix wasn't a bird man, he wasn't even taking Care of Magical Creatures, so he was happy to let Lilith be the one to take care of the creatures around the school. "Yeah I wrote to my dad," he told her, "although something tells me he won't be writing back."

Lilith laughed at the comment about Eoghan, maybe she did maybe she didn't. "Who knows maybe I do," She said with a shrug. She sure gave him a kiss, or ten if she was being honest but that didn't matter right now. "Ah to be fair my mum wanted me to write her letters but she never answers though might be the no magic stuff and all." The third year explained. Her mum had been a bit sad she hadn't sent letters during her first year but she'd learnt in her second year that she barely would get any answers so what was the point. "I hope you get an answer though," She said with a smile walking next to Felix, since he was next to the only open window, to let the bird out.

Felix grinned to himself as he pictured Lilith making Eoghan a meaty snack for their travels. Perhaps the boy would peck at it on the train; his nose was long enough. "You're a muggleborn?" Felix asked, realising he didn't really know too much about the Ravenclaw beyond what she put out there at school, around the rest of their friends. He watched as the third year let the bird out the window, seemingly at ease with whatever it was she was doing. Felix wasn't entirely sure how she did that, Lilith never seemed stressed at anything, or if she did, she didn't show it. "You know, it will be me vs you if I end up playing in the next game," he told her, eyes fixed on her features for signs of a competitive nature. He may have only been an alternative, but it would have been fun if they could go head-to-head.

Lilith watched the bird fly off and shook her head about the question of her blood status. "No, my parents just fell in love with Muggle Studies and decided to live and raise their children within their world. Mum's parents weren't too happy about it though. I had some magic around when I was a kid but not a lot they both work in muggle fields." She explained calmly. The mention of the game brought a little grin to her face and she turned to look at the Gryffindor. "Yeah? We shall see how it goes, wouldn't mind going against you though. Could be fun." The brunette had made a promise not to take the game as seriously and to give herself a little grace with it. It was just a game after all and she'd do her best.

"Pureblood then?" That would make more sense, if her family wanted to live among the muggles because it suited them better. He listened to Lilith talking about her family and honestly it was just nice to hear more about her. His smile widened at her own competitive streak, "Yeah? You sure about that? Don't think I wouldn't thrash you at that game, Ilves." Lilith may have had a year on him to practice but he wouldn't have wanted her to go off lightly, and besides, to say that he won against her would have been a great feat.

Lilith shook her head, gods no. "No no, I mean both sides are long lines of of Magical but not pure I think there's been mixing here and there but my mum's side just is very hard on the wanting to keep the family purely magical." Especially after her uncle's early demise but that didn't need to be spoken about. Lilith gave a slight laugh and a shake of her head, of course a Gryffindor would have such big talk. "You sure you are not just all bark no bite? Would be a shame if you were put on game and failed to follow up on your threats." The Ravenclaw challenged him back, it was all banter between friends and Lilith had to admit it had felt good taking the practice much easier too.

Felix nodded, "My mum, she was a muggleborn," he didn't talk about his mum that often, that was usually Ten's job. He didn't feel the same way about her that his older sister did, given she still had memories of their mum. "I think most of that side are. It was only when she met dad that we got a little bit more," Felix didn't really care about blood status, it didn't make any difference to him, but it was still interesting to hear how families came together. The Gryffindor laughed at Lilith's threat, "Guess we'll have to wait and see," his eyebrows raised a little as the grin remained on his face. He was still watching Lilith closely, and he could understand why Eoghan had been drawn to her. "If I were put in the game, I don't think anyone would be disappointed."

Lilith smiled at the mention of Felix's mum. She didn't know too much about the boy but any insight was nice, she liked him he was a good friend. Blood status didn't mean much to Lilith because hers never mattered, coming from a long line of magicals had still not secured her much more knowledge about the magical world and her own boyfriend's status wasn't all that clear but he was perhaps one of the most clever ones both magically and not magically. She gave a nod at the guess we'll have to see. They really would. "Perhaps, guess we'll see if you are put on the pitch." The brunette said leaning against her side of the wall. They were still talking about Quidditch after all and she wouldn't know how others would feel about him playing but she'd be glad to have another familiar face up there.

It was a risk, but Felix had taken it. Besides, Tori and Lilith were best friends, weren't they? Of course, Lilith was bound to know what had happened, and what he was like. Therefore, when Lilith agreed they've have to see, he was a little taken aback by her willingness. He knew she was with Eoghan but he wasn't going to judge. As Lilith moved, so did Felix, closing the gap between them slowly and with one hand, tucking her hair behind her ear. At this point he was mere inches from her face, his eyes beginning to glaze over a little as they scanned her features. "Who says we have to wait until we're on the pitch?" his voice barely more than a whisper.

Lilith realized her mistake the second the boy made a move. Turning her head sideways to cancel any possible contact she put a hand on his chest pushing him away gently, not wanting him any closer than necessary. Where she had thought it was friendly banter he seemed to have a very different idea. "No Felix, no. I am with Eoghan and more than happy, you are my friend and that's where I draw the line. Strictly." Her voice turned serious fast enough to give her whiplash, but there was no way she was going to give another one of her friends the wrong idea on purpose. "I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression but we are just friends." The brunette's heart sank at the thought that this might ruin a friendship but she had to make her boundaries clear and this was crossing every single one of them.

Felix was about to move closer still when suddenly Lilith looked away. His face turned to a frown as it occurred to him that Lilith hadn't known he was flirting. "I know, I know," Felix took a step backward almost immediately and dropped his hands to his side, "Sorry, I didn't.." Didn't what? Did he really expect someone like Lilith to do something like that to Eoghan? "Yeah, yeah, we are friends." He hoped he hadn't just ruined that in the space of a few seconds over a misunderstanding. He moved a good few feet away and rested his back against the wall, pinching the bridge of his nose for a moment before turning back to Lilith, "It's not your fault, I didn't.. I should've known."

Lilith relased a sigh as Felix stepped farther. She shook her head instantly at his apology, "It's okay, I drew a line and you respected it Felix." She reassured him because he had done so, as soon as she'd drawn the clear line he'd stepped back. He'd respected her boundary. Lilith wasn't sure what more to say, so she turned to look at Felix with a gentle smile. "It's okay, it was a misunderstanding. We are fine." The brunette wasn't sure who she was saying this to comfort more, herself or her friend. Would he still want to be her friend? Wait, had he, was this all he wanted of her. No she knew him better than that, or she thought she did. Maybe she didn't know him at all in the end, at this point it was hard to think straight because anxiety was showing it's ugly claws and her mind was going mushy.

Felix relaxed his head, leaning it back to rest on the wall too. He smiled in Lilith's direction, believing her when she said they were fine. He wasn't sure whether Lilith should have been the one to take the blame, although he also didn't think it would do either of them any favours to dwell either. "Hey, least we know you're serious about Eoghan," he winked. It wasn't that he didn't already, but the proof was there in front of him. He was a lucky guy to have someone so loyal. He let things linger for a moment before continuing, doing his very best to remember what it was they were talking about before things took a turn. "Look, if it comes up against me and you out on the Quidditch pitch, I know we'll both have tried our best."

Lilith laughed softly, her previous anxiety still lingering at the corners of her mind but she'd gotten much better at leashing it in the last few years. "There was never, not once, a doubt about that in my mind." She said confirming for the first time out loud that it'd been something she felt from the start and had been serious about ever since. She'd done her best to be his friend and somewhere along the line she'd fallen head over the heels for him and this moment was proof of just how deep it all ran. Some may say she was too young to know and perhaps she was but she knew what she felt in the moment. She smiled as Quidditch was brought up giving a shrug. "I'll give you my best Layton, don't worry I won't go easy just because we are friends." Lilith reassured the boy. "No friendship privileges," She added with a small grin.
