Closed Making It Work

Ilya had been living with his Raven for a while now. He couldn't imagine being happier. He still worked as a musician where he could find work, and to supplement his gigs, he worked a few shifts as a barista each week. He enjoyed the work, really. He liked the cafe art that had become his specialty. After a long shift he'd picked up that day, Ilya made his way back to their little flat. Alex had taken up the little free space he'd had before for his studio. It was a little cramped perhaps, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Just enough to encourage keeping things cleaned up and attention on where you were going. Ilya slipped into their home, hanging his bag by the door where it belonged. "I'm home, my Raven," He called, knowing he smelled of coffee but still wanting his cuddles.

Alex's move to London had been a big step for him if he had been honest. He hadn't really been out of the country before a few years ago. Though he had enjoyed London, and of course, he enjoyed the company of Ilya. He had moved in with Ilya not too long ago, and Alex didn't seem to regret the decision one bit. Alex guessed he needed some change in his life, and this was most likely it. The flat they shared had been in fact a wee bit small, but that was okay to Alex; he didn't mind the space, as long as it was with his midnight muse. Alex had spent his time doing his art, trying his best to sell his art in various mediums; some would sell and some would be stored somewhere until they were eventually sold, but that was okay to him.

Alex had been in their small makeshift living room on the couch, sketching away in his sketchbook, no idea how long he had been sketching or what time it had been. It took him a second to realise that Ilya had arrived home. "In here," Alex called out, as he continued to sketch, his eyes or head not moving up from his journal.
