Callie wasn't 100% sure that the offer she had received for the dance was entirely real. After the break-up with Dante she had mostly figured she'd hang out with friends, she hadn't expected to get an offer to the dance. She wasn't entirely sure he had really meant it, or maybe he'd had found someone better than her to go with instead in the time between asking and now. It didn't help that he had been handsome and charming, and called her darling. Callie had put on a nice dress, with the red rose tucked behind her ear, and figured she'd get him at the entrance, and give it a half hour for if he didn't turn up. She knew she wouldn't mention it, wouldn't say a thing if he never showed, or showed with someone else.
 
Theodore hadn't been sure she would have appeared. Most of the girls and guys in the school seemed to not be affected by his charms, which was such a shame because it had been so fun meeting new people in New Zealand. He'd offered to take a number of people out for dates or the dance but had been soundly rejected. The girl from rose giving, the one who'd given him Aura's rose, Callie if he remembered correctly, had been sweet and blushing prettily and Theo just couldn't resist, especially after she'd let him tuck the red rose behind her ear. Still, it wouldn't have been new for him to get stood up which was why he'd ended up chilling with another cute guy at the snack table until he spotted her. He'd excused himself from the guy after trying to secure a promise from him to hang out at a later date before bounding over to Callie, stopping right in front of her. "And here I thought you'd never show darling," he said as he moved to take her hand, intending to press a kiss on the back of it if she allowed.​
 
Callie spotted him as he approached, and tried to not make it too obvious that she had been looking at him walking towards her. He was dressed very nicely, the suit suited him well. There was already a light blush to her cheeks before he'd even opened his mouth, which did just make the blush deeper, that and the fact he kissed her hand. His name was Theodore if she remembered right. "Sorry, I was nervous," she said honestly. "Wasn't really sure this was real,"
 
"Now why wouldn't it be?" Theo smirked, lips still touching her hand before he pulled it away but didn't let go. He definitely wouldn't be letting it go until she pulled her hand away from his. "I assure you darling, dances are for pretty girls to be taken out and danced with for as long as they allow," he said as he took a step back just to get a good look at her. "You look absolutely breathtaking and usually this would be the point I'd present you with a bouquet, but I heard there was a shortage of roses today, so I'm afraid we'll have to settle for this one," Theo stepped closer to her to gently touch the rose with a single finger. "But I sincerely promise extra snack and extra dances if milady would agree," he said with a bow and a gesture to the dance floor because he was still Theo, which meant flourish and silliness.​
 
Callie could think of a dozens reasons for why this wouldn't be real, but she held back from actually saying it. She let him hold her hand, enjoying the feel of the hand being held. She ducked her head at the compliments she wasn't sure why he was being so nice to her. Why she had managed to get his attention. She giggled a little as he said there were a shortage of roses, and she took that opportunity to look up at him. "I'd love a dance," she agreed, since it was nice to come to these events with someone and even nicer to dance with them.
 
Theo had always found that he liked to fluster people; he always got such interesting reactions ranging from utter offense to indignance to utter giddiness, but his favorite was certainly the blushes that he could elicit - from males and females alike. And right now, Callie was looking awfully adorable as he showered her with compliments and he wondered if she so rarely heard them about herself. She was attractive, and gentle, and cute, and it was hard not to tease her just so she wouldn't run off. Kind of like Ezra during the Yule Ball. Hufflepuffs. So adorable. "A dance it is," he said as he stood straighter and led her to the dance floor like a perfect gentleman - some people would claim he was anything but. "You dance a lot in these things?" He asked as he moved to pull her close, still holding her hand while he intended for the other to snake around her waist if she would allow it. Maybe he could even spin her and dip her and twirl her around in the air later on if she would like.​
 
Callie nodded, and let him lead them to the dance floor, falling in step with him. She blushed a little as she was brought in close, and let his hand move around her waist. Her gaze moved around the dancefloor and she was sure that she spotted Dante, but ignored it, instead focusing on the boy in front of her. "I do," she said. "I like dancing and dancing at events is just nice," she told him with a smile.
 
"Nuh-uh, eyes on me tonight, and I'll keep my eyes on you deal?" Theo tutted as he saw her looking around the dance floor, though he was quite easily satisfied when her focus seemed to stay with him. It was just more fun that way. He may have been a playboy, but a date was a date. While he didn't know how many dates he'd get with Callie before he eventually left for home and Hogwarts Scotland - and how many others he'd take on dates - his focus was always on the lady or gent for the night. "Well, dancing at things like this is definitely nice, but you just make it all the better," Theodore said with a grin as he led them through the dance floor. "Wanna be twirled in the air?" he asked mischievously. If she agreed then, he'd put his hands on her waist and lift her up before spinning around and putting her back down. If not, well, there were definitely other things they could do.​
