Fourth Years Lesson Six

Mallory couldn’t believe that the year had flown by so quickly. She smiled warmly as her students came into the classroom, and once everyone was seated, Mallory stood. “Hello again, my darlings. This is our final lesson of the semester before the exams. Today I would just like you to review what we’ve learned, and come to me if you have any questions about anything. Before we begin, however,” she tucked her hair behind her ear. “I would like to tell you that it has been an absolute pleasure teaching all of you this year. I have seen such remarkable improvements in all of your work. You are all growing into remarkable young witches and wizards.” Mallory smiled and moved back to her desk. “Go on, my dears, I’m here if you need anything.”

Morrie had decided to stay at Hogwarts for Christmas not because she wanted to, but rather because she absolutely did not want to go home or see her mother. She really hoped it was the opposite for her dormmates, especially Hazel as it had been particularly awkward with her this semester, more so than the others.

She arrived for Charms and listened to Professor Grayveson tell them it was a review lesson then took out her textbook in response. Morrie dismissed the class compliment, thinking she probably says that to all her students and doesn't really mean it. She started flicking through the pages of spells they had learnt this term. She was bored by the end of the lesson and glad when it was time to leave.

Miro still felt a bit lost in each of his classes, and this didn't help his worry over the looming exams, but he had to admit he felt a bit less lost that semester than he had in previous years. Though he wasn't sure if this was a good sign and meant he had a chance not to fail his subjects, or it was a false sense of security that would ultimately let him down, he was trying to look on the bright side and focus on being optimistic rather than overwhelmed as he arrived to final charms lesson of the semester. Miro chose a sear near the back of the room and focused on the professor, thankful when she told the class they would be using their lesson to review what they had learned. Miro tried his best to make the most of the extra study time, trying to cast a few of the charms from that year and also previous years in practice before he began to reiterate some of his written notes. He left the room when the lesson was dismissed and headed to the quidditch pitch so he could get some fresh air and clear his head.

Kyousuke was getting a bit antsy. Not because he was nervous about exams - he was perhaps overly confident - but he wanted to do them all and get them out of the way. Get the grades he deserved. He took a seat in charms class and listened to the professor give a brief speech of sorts. He then dedicated himself to studying, getting as much done but as efficiently as possible in the allotted time. The lesson ended quickly as far as Kyousuke was concerned. It really wasn't long enough for a good study session but he'd done some good revision at least.
