Closed Meeting Up

Jamie gave a little smile, thinking it so sweet that Asher was looking to write love songs for his love. But he wasn't sure he could help much, though he perhaps could if Onyx has. "He has, but those would be for him to share with you, not me," he said with a little smile.

Asher laughed lightly. "Oh, no, I wasn't asking you to pull out his songs," He countered quickly. "I was just hoping to get a few eyes on some lyrics that I'd put together before I showed them to Archie. His birthdays coming up and I want to have it polished before then," He explained. "Of course I wasn't going to share the full song, but I was hoping to get some thoughts on a few lines, if that's alright?" He tried to explain, rambling a little bit in his nerves.

Jamie laughed in response before giving a little smile. "You'll still have to wait until he gets in, since I'm of no help," he agreed. "Onyx will be happy to help and he's such a wonderful lyricist," Jamie gushed happily about his husband. "So I'm sure when you present the song to Archie he'll love them too,"

Asher laughed lightly. "Totally fair," He agreed, settling in and sipping on his wine. "So tell me, how's Quidditch going?" He asked. "I was never much into the sport myself. But Onyx tells me you love it. What's that life like?" He questioned, curious to know more about his kittens other half.

Jamie laughed lightly at Asher's question, he wasn't too surprised that Asher wasn't interested in quidditch, he really didn't seem like the type to be interested at all. "It's good, I like flying, and I like the thrill of a game," he said. "It is hard, there's an occasional article in Witches Weekly, and people are pretty harsh when we lose, but it's a good life, it pays well, and when I retire from professional play, we'll always be comfortable. What's it like being a rockstar?"

Asher listened to Jamie, sipping on his wine. "Sounds about right," He chuckled. "It's a mixed bag, really. The music is always great, though the long hours and travel can be a double edged sword. Some fans are cool, some are insane, then of course there's papparazzi and the rag magazines that think everyone in the band is dating each other behind the others backs." He laughed. "Which you know, is hard when Leo and V are the parents and Delaney and me are just the naughty kids always fighting."

Jamie nodded in agreement, the attention that certain jobs got was not exactly fun, even if the work itself very much was good and exactly what you wanted to do. "Yeah, the rags aren't fun," he said with a little smile. "But hey, that's the life picked," he said with a smile, sipping his wine, and knowing he wouldn't give this life up for anything. Everything had turned out perfect.

Asher sipped his drink. "How does the kitten handle the rags?" He asked. "I imagine as a rich kid he's had at least a bit of experience with them before, but he's always been more... emotionally open, I suppose," He settled on. "And some of them might hit a little harder than they really should?" He watched Jamie as he asked. It was something he worried about a bit himself, with Archie, but he could just be projecting his worries onto his new friend.

Jamie hadn't really given much thought to it. he knew it affected him, that he didn't exactly enjoy how they acted towards them, how cruel they could be, but he was always there to remind him on what mattered, and what these things thought never did. "They can sometimes hit hard, but I'm always just trying to keep him as grounded as I can," Jamie said. "I just find it helps to be the grounding force and I never let it bother me,"

Ash nodded. "Thankfully Archie baby is a ray of absolute sunshine. He's a bit... absentminded sometimes, but a little love goes a long way with him." He smiled fondly, sipping his wine before leaning forward. "So, uh, hey, when you and the kitten got engaged, about the rings..." He gave a shy smile. "Where did you guys go to get them customized?"

Jamie gave a little smile, and then summoned some paper and wrote down where they had gotten the rings customized. "They'll do an amazing job of it," he said. "And if its out of the price range for you, just let me know, it can be a present from us," he knew it was unlikely to be something Asher would take up, but Jamie still thought it right to offer.

Asher chuckled, leaning in to take the paper. "Thanks, man, I appreciate that," He offered, before sitting back and sipping his wine. Before he could say anything else the door opened and Onyx bustled in, a cheery 'mon chiot, I'm home!' on his lips even as Onyx's vision was blocked by the big bags of groceries he held. Asher smiled and put his finger to his lips to try and win Jamie to his side, and very carefully set his glass down, getting up quietly and trying to slink around Onyx so he could sneak up on the man once he'd set everything down.
